Toshiba Laptop Battery Question

I found a laptop battery called AGPtek - Laptop Battery for TOSHIBA C600D L750 L700 PA3816U-1BRS - Black - Black
Can anyone please tell me if it's compatible with my Toshiba Laptop? It's a Satellite C675D-S7101, which uses a PA3817U-1BRS Battery.

While I don't know if it would work with your computer or not I would strongly research the risks of buying third party batteries from brand names that are not widely known. Your laptop could have permanent damage to it if the battery is not the right voltage or something else funky goes on where a battery is not properly forumlated inside.
Currently one of the more reliable battery vendors that are on the market is Lenmar they have good warranties on their batteries.

  • Laptop battery question

I have an HP dv4-2155dx The battery needs to be replaced with 484170-001 EV06. I've found some online for cheaper than the astronomical prices on HP's website. These are 6 cell batteries. http://www.laptopbatteryone.com/catalog/partdetail.aspx?partno=LB-HP42D-04400&dkw=Hp%20Pavilion%20Dv... I've also found this, a 12 cell extended life battery. Are these compatible? If so, I think I'd go with the extended life battery... it's an HP EV12 http://www.battdepot.com/item/notebook+battery/ev12/lhp217.aspx

    Hello phileyoung,
The DV4-2155dx battery part number is 484170-001. Since that part number is listed on the links you gave for the other batteries I am going to state that I believe based on the description of the battery and the information that the source has provided that the battery should work in your laptop.

  • My toshiba laptop won't connect to my HP Envy 4500 printer

I have recently attempted connecting my Toshiba laptop, which runs Windows 8, wirelessly to my HP Envy 4500 printer. I'm trying to scan something onto my laptop, which I have done with the printer before. I have the remote app, and I have connected to the printer's wireless network that pops up in the wifi section of my computer. However, when attempting to get the printer to scan, using the option on the printer's screen, it said that no device was connected, and to make sure the software was installed and that scan to pc was enabled. I opened the app on my laptop, hoping to get better results using it that was, but it told me that the printer was offline, though it was clearly on. I am not entirely sure why the printer is not recognizing my laptop, even though my laptop recognizes it. I spent nearly two hours disconnecting and reconnecting, as well as turning the printer off about three times. I am about to uninstall the app and try reinstalling it, but I am doubting the results will be any better.
I see no other way to fix this problem, as there is no USB port in which to connect a USB cable, like myprevious printer, and am wondering if it is my latop, not the printer, that is faulty. It works for printing when it comes to the other devices in my household, but I have had problems even printing with my Toshiba before. I have only attempted scanning with one other device: a HP Pavillion Media Center TV PC desktop. I am starting to think that the scanner is defaulting to only reognizing other HP products, and request any and all advice in fixing this issue.

    Hi AMakkei,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that you cannot scan with your HP Envy 4500 to your Windows 8 laptop, and I am happy to help you with this connection issue!
For further assistance, I will need to know following information:
If the printer is able to make copies by itself.
If the power cable plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
In the meantime, please try going through this guide. A 'Computer Not Found' or 'Connection Error' Message Displays during Scanning, and let me know what happens!
Hope to hear from you, and have a good day!

I own toshiba laptops. Both computers have the latest itunes software. However the 'show menu' does not appear on the screen?

Thanks for the response diesel. I dont think I clarified my question very well. I'm trying to do home sharing between mine and my wifes computers. The intructions say:
Log in as the same user on each computer.
    Ensure both are current version.
Choose the correct list in sharing ie Music
Then in the 'show menu' at the bottom of the screen, choose items not in my library.
I do not have the show menu to select any songs.
    Any help appreciated.
    Cheers

  • IPOD not recognized/copying to disc failed: Toshiba Laptop USB the issue!

Just got my IPOD back from servicing (needed new battery). While syncing, every 20 or 30 songs a message appeared: Attempting to copy to the disk failed...
I kept trying, but eventually Itunes (and Windows) wouldn't even recognize the IPOD (even the IPOD gave up...would flash the "do not disconnect" for a few seconds then immediately default back to default mode (menus, etc.) I could not restore.
My symptoms seemed to be similar to lots of other problems I saw in the discussion boards. THEN...I somehow linked to this file:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300836
I had to use my Toshiba laptop's Device Manager to disable the "enhanced" speed USB port. Presto! Immediately the IPOD was recognized and updated FULLY (albeit at very slow speed). (2 hours for 850 tunes). What I don't understand is why this suddenly started to happen? HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE !

  • Uninstalling Toshiba Laptop Checkup & Security Dashboard?

    Hello,
I have a new Satellite S855-S5268 and I'm uninstalling Norton so that I can install my AV of choice (Kaspersky Internet Security)
On the official Kaspersky forum and help files, it says that you have to uninstall Norton thoroughly in order for Kaspersky to work properly ("Norton remnants are often a source of problems when installing Kaspersky").
Four programs by Norton/Symantec came pre-installed with my computer:
    * Norton Internet Security (I have already uninstalled this)
    * Norton Anti-Theft (same)
    * Toshiba Security Dashboard
    * Toshiba Laptop Checkup
It's the last two that I have questions about. In Programs and Features, it shows that those two are NOT by Toshiba Corporation, but, rather, from Symantec Corporation. In fact, when I click on the Security Dashboard icon on my taskbar, what it does is it shows me a summary of the Norton products on my machine.
When I run a Get System Info report (GSI is a run-on-demand Kasperky tool) after having uninstalled NIS and Norton Anti-Theft, it still lists Toshiba Laptop Checkup and Toshiba Security Dashboard as "Possibly Incompatible Software" (NIS 2012 and Norton Anti-Theft were also listed here before I uninstalled them). See attached screencap
Can I uninstall Toshiba Laptop Checkup and Toshiba Security Dashboard and my computer will still work properly?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Toshiba Laptop - Need Further Help

So, after much troubles and going to the apple store to get them to restore my video ipod (it wouldn't do it for me)...we've tried everything to get it to sync to my itunes on my toshiba satellite laptop. it finally after about 45 minutes started downloading songs from my itunes but stopped midway to only give me an error and stop. we have followed MANY of the support articles including this one:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300836
but it's not helping. plugged it in to my brothers Dell XPS desktop and not only connected but downloaded like MAD! So, is there something I can do with my laptop to make this work? I hate to think that in order to get my favorite tv shows, songs, etc...I have to network to his computer and do it that way. Makes $400 seem like a complete waste. Tell me it isn't so! If you have a Toshiba (which appears to be a known problem - lucky me) then PLEASE respond if you've figured out how I can fix. If it means upgrading and doing whatever to the laptop I will!!!

I've been having similar issues on my Toshiba... I found that the best thing to do is disable the high speed USB interface (sounds like you've already done that if you followed the instructions in "iPod not recognized correctly on Toshiba laptop") and then restore the iPod with the latest updater. After that, I found that if I disconnect the iPod, and re-enable the high speed USB and restart the computer, I can connect my iPod and iTunes sees it and syncs it without any issues. It just takes iTunes a while to open up when the iPod is connected. It sounds like the issue with Toshiba laptops varies from computer to computer, you may need to play around with your settings until you find out what works best for you.
I'm still working that out for myself
But feel free to let me know if you have any more problems or questions. Whatever it is, I'm sure I've been there.
    best wishes

  • Toshiba laptop

Besides my complaint, here's a query. A friend of mine purchased a Toshiba laptop from Toshiba and its battery life is close to 2 hours. I purchased mine from Best buy and my battery life prior issues was close to 45 minutes fully charged. Why would this be?
    amjustok

    hi justine.
what Lex was referring to was more of wired versus wireless connection; you two could both me using the same source, but using the wireless adapter will drain the battery faster.
purchasing from toshiba direct more than likely allowed your friend to be able to upgrade to a larger battery (regardless of whether or not they actually selected it). with best buy, the models that you see aren't able to be customized with different batteries or memory configurations in-store.
but, as lex mentioned, different laptop configurations will have varying battery life results. things like processing power, integrated versus discrete graphics, and how large of a battery all contribute to total battery life resuls.

  • Toshiba laptop Qosmio P755D crashes randomly

I purchased Toshiba laptop(P755D) about a year ago and for the past month, it has started to crash randomly.
Initially, it would always crash when I watch videos using flash player and nowadays it randomly crashes and I have to pull the battery out and then re-start or wait for an hour or two for the laptop to cool down and then re-start.
Initially, I thought it was software drivers and did all updates including windows updates but now I suspect it could be heat related.
I monitor laptop heath using in-built "Toshiba PC health monitor" and it's showing CPU temp at 77% and FAN speed at 90%.
I can provide any other metrics but appreciate any pointers?

Another solution suggested was to use Piriform Speecy to monitor temperature of CPUs
This machine has 4 cores and in about 2-3 minutes, the temperatures is upto 88 degree C and shows in RED This is just upon start-up and launcing Chrome, browsing thro' some sites and doing nothing else and after several minutes it briefly crossed 91 degree C.

  • Xtreme Audio Notebook - Toshiba Laptop

&Xtreme Audio Notebook - Toshiba Laptop? Here is my request for help :-)
I am running Vista Home sp2
I am using this CL sound card for some minor audio for band functions (where my midi keyboard doesnt cut it).
In Sonar - the software will NOT see this device as an ASIO device. If I run Asio4all, it will but thats very limited.
This whole process started by me trying to get less latency out of the laptop for a midi function and within Sonar - its only recognizing the device as an MME device. While that is "ok" its far from optimal, and if I put any kind of a load on it the latency grows to the absurd side.
My first question - am I mistaken or is this device supposed to suport ASIO mode?
Next - if it is - how can I find out why its not working as expected? I am not looking for folks to do the work for me, just hoping someone may have seen this in the past and had any suggestions
I have used the latest drivers I could find from the CL support site to replace the default windows vista drivers, and I have tweaked all the settings I can find, but still having some large latency issues and using MME is certainly not helping.
Any thoughts or pointss are certainly appreciated!

Please disregard and close/archi've this thread.
I missed the part about the Xtreme Audio Notebook NOT having asio drivers.
I purchased a new X-Fi surround and while I am having some smaller issues, I am certainly seeing a marked improvement.

  • What is the best charge/discharge regime for the laptop battery?

I have a HP G71 340US laptop with 12 cell battery of 8800 mAh design capacity.
It is clear, that keeping the laptop plugged, and always having 100% charged battery is not the most healthy regime for the battery.
I have found from the web that permanently charging and discharging the battery (like charging form 9% to 100% then back to 9% and so on) is also far not the most healthy regime for the battery.
So my question is: what is the most healthy regime for battery charging/discharging, assuming that the AC power source is always available?
It seems there in so software which can support such regime automatically, as charging cannot be stopped programmable, but maybe there is a software which can report corresponding alerts, informing that it is time to start charging or to start discharging?

  • Toshiba laptop suddenly lost all power

    Hi
I bought a toshiba laptop about 9 months ago from Argos in Dublin, Ireland. The model is a Satellite L450-16k. Yesterday it went black and hasn't responded since. None of the LED lights light up when I plug it in. There was a strange noise coming from it for a while but eventually stopped when, i guess, the battery ran out.
Has anybody any ideas what it could be? Or where I should take it to get it fixed (no Toshiba stores in Dublin)? Its only 9 months old so it should be still in warranty.
    Thanks

Now, whenever i plug it into any outlet, i still get no light or indication that it is on.
the adapter looks to be brand new and in great shape, the connections are tight.
is this a known problem and is there an easy fix?
Please help.  I'm trapped in my bedroom with my laptop and need to go into my living room for air and light.  Seriously, I need to be able to use the adapter so I can use my computer in other locations.

    Hi Lizann
I do agree with vness's Thought .Though for a try.
u can Push the reset button on the back of the router till 1 minute while power on for router.
and ofcourse while u pushing in the button . unplug and plug in the power cable of router Twice within 20 seconds period.
    is dat hard?
try , and after following The procedure , release the button(completion of 1 minute)
and again , unplug and plug in the power cable of the router.
notice the lights on router ,
if power light comes solid . it can work , you can re configure the router.
    Else
light would be bliking or missing , call Linksys For replacement if u had brought it within last three years.
    let me know the status?

  • Lost my laptop battery need a replacement

My laptop battery got lost during moving.  A "good" local shop said it was impossible to order a new battery for the laptop without knowing a serial number that is on the battery.
Could anyone help me find that number?

I would certainly have my doubts about any information that "good" shop provides if they told you that. Knowing the serial number on the old battery as a requirement to purchase a new battery is not a true statement.
Order a battery online from a vendor. just do a Google or Bing search like this one that I did. There is no requirement to purachase an OEM HP battery. Comparison shop as the price range is tremendous.
If you feel you absolutely must have an HP brand battery see the part numbers in the image below.

This is a known problem, but we don't have a solution for it. If your device has the Toshiba Market app, you might be able to download a (possibly outdated) version of Firefox from there.
