Toshiba LCD 46RV600T HDMI suddenly didn't work

Hi all,I used to connect my laptop to Toshiba 46RV600T via HDMI for watching films and so on as the second screen.Yesterday, I had a new xbox 360 slim, then I tried to connect xbox via HDMI but it didn't work on Toshiba but for other Samsung worked fine via HDMI. On Toshiba, I only can connect my xbox via AV composite input.After several tries to unplug and connect my Xbox between my Toshiba LCD and Samsung LCD, now when I get back to connect to my laptop, the laptop didn't recognize Toshiba anymore, only VGA worked, HDMI totally didn't work now.I have many tries and methods but didn't solve the problem. Can anyone here give me an advice? Thanks!

Macbook Pro to Toshiba LCD via HDMI screen shuts off

I have a mid 2010 model Macbook pro hooked up to a 46'' Toshiba LCD tv using the moshi connector and an HDMI cable. Every 25-30 minutes the screen goes black for 2-3 seconds as well the sound turns off. The picture then comes back, usually to shut off again for 2-3 seconds then will remain on for another 25-30 minutes. This happens each time I connect the laptop to the computer.
I have returned the TV, connector, and HDMI cables and the issue has continue to happen. This leaves me thinking that it must be an issue with the computer. Does any one have any tips or ideas as to what I can do to stop this? Its really irritating to try and watch a movie to have the picture cut out periodically.

I'm using a MacBook Pro with a Samsung 610 52" color monitor for studio video production.
I'm using an adapter to hook up the TV to the Mac via VGA. There are times when I can get the image on the screen, but any time I either start cold or have to change a cable, I get the message "check signal cable." I originally thought the problem was the cable, but changing out three different "known to be good" cables did not resolve. When select system preferences=>displays=>gather windows, the Samsung window with resolution options opens. Nothing as of yet immediately resolves the problem, but if I **** around with it long enough (plug and unplug cables, turn both computer or LCD off and on), eventually I get a picture. And yes, I never had this problem when we were using a Dell Inspiron. Any suggestions or resolutions, please let me know.

Toshiba LCD 46XV635D Hdmi issue

Hi, I have the above tv and after a power cut due to thunder storm none of the Hdmi ports appear to be working just get a blue screen. I have done the normal things, have switched tv off left for 5 mins, reset tv via menu unplugged all Hdmi leads and tested each port with a unit I know is working but I get nothing! Is there some sort of reset or will this need to be repaired? I now know my TiVo box Hdmi port is faulty aswel as I have tested this on another tv and the only way I get an output is via scart.
I hope there is a simple reset that will cure this look forward to a response or two

It sounds like it needs servicing. However, I don't believe that's a US model, and this site only supports the US. You should contact Toshiba in your region.

Mounting? suddenly didn't work

I have a problem mounting nowadays, not too sure what happened. It has been working for me all along. here's my entry within /etc/fstab

If i put a CD in my CD and type 'mount /mnt/cd' it returns: no medium found.
If i put a CD in my DVD-ROM, and type 'mount /mnt/dvd', it returns:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdroms/cdrom1,
or too many mounted file systems
Anyone have an idea what's going on? I've managed to mount any CD all this time with similar entry, and now I'm stuck with no clue whatsoever. Please help[

I am going to start with one that seems highly suspect to me and that is your "No medium found" when you try to mount your /mnt/cdrom. Assuming that the mount command is ok, this indicates that it's searching the wrong drive to me (and I said as much when I posted the first time). so if you have not already checked it could you check and make sure
ls -l /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 is pointing to the correct /dev/hdx (ie. you cdrom?) . your DVD sounds like it's pointing correctly. did you also try mounting it manually like so:
#mount -t udf /dev/cdroms/cdrom1 /mnt/dvd
(This doesn't go through /etc/fstab BTW, so it's worth a try)
I don't know how the kernel is configured so I am going to guess: you did install the correct version of the kernel right? kernel26 instead of kernel26scsi?

Brand new macbook air charger suddenly won't work

I bought a new macbook about four weeks ago. Everything is in great shape, inlcuding the charger. It suddenly didn't work yesterday. I've tried some of the troubleshooting stuff, nothing is working. Any ideas?

Wireless suddenly doesn't work, both in OSX and windows 7

I have got a new model of MacBook Pro 13-inch. Everything work fine until one day I found the wireless suddenly didn't work, both in OSX and windows 7(boot camp.)
I tried my USB-wireless adapter on macbook, it works fine.
In bootcamped windows 7, I have uninstalled and re-install the wireless adapter, still doesn't work.
Actually it can find the wireless networks but cannot join them.
I need to mention before then I kept play heavy games like starcraft2 frequently, and macbook got so hot during playing, so maybe the wireless module was damaged by heat somehow??

Seems I'm pretty annoying but I need to post again because I found something interesting: once I plug my external monitor to the macbook, the wireless strikes, and once I plug out the monitor, wireless recovers... Anyone has any idea?

I am recently having an issue of connecting my MacBook Pro with Toshiba LCD 32 Inch i tried many troubleshooting scenarios but nothing came up on my LCD,
My Mac OS 10.6.6 with the latest updates from Apple, i tried to connect my Mac to Sony Pravia LCD Screen and it's work fine but not the case in TOSHIBA !,
Please advise me if it's something related to my TV.

My MacBookPro 10.7.5 had been streaming tv thru the mini port/HDMI cable. Suddenly it stopped working. My tv screen is now black. I have tried restarting the computer with the cord connected. The computer is otherwise working.

My computer otherwise works fine but there is my computer screen image is no longer being transmitted to the tv. The tv is black. I have it on the correct input.

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers / Headphones
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2.Plug in and remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
3. Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup

For my computers, though some of them support BlueTooth devices and accessories,
my preference and economy of standard, is to have wired USB and also use powered
USB hubs for accessories.
I've used USB wired keyboards and mouse products; and some I've bought from the
original owners who had upgraded to BT, and never used the new Apple USB model;
so I have spares of these on-hand since they seldom fail, but do work when BT won't.
{A SMC reset should not cause a problem, or seldom has; but can solve some.}
In my opinion, the wired USB keyboard is an essential accessory, if not a necessary
primary means of user access on a continuous basis. At least until the wires fail...!

Have you tried re-booting your WiFi router ? It may seem OK on your PC, but a re-boot may help.

Change the password on that e-mail account. It's possible that your account has been hacked/spoofed and spammers have used it to blast out junk, leaving you to 'pay the price'. If it's one where you can contact the company, contact them and ask them what's going on. (if this is g-mail, yahoo, hotmail, don't bother, there's no way to contact any sort of support)

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider. You may have to leave the machine there for several days.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
