Adobe media encoder cs5.5 fails to open queue for premiere export
Adobe media encoder cs5.5 fails to open queue when exporting from premiere CS5.5. I'm using a standard Mpeg2 setting, and choosing the immediate export option works just fine. Upon choosing the Queue option, Adobe media encoder will show its splash screen.... Then nothing. Anyone else have this issue?

My Toshiba Laptop says media failed
Hello,
I have a satellite laptop. I tried to reset it, I think I did. It was going to slow and I decided to delete everything off. I then returned to turn it on and it turns on to the "Toshiba Leading Innovation" then says all these words over and over. Something about media failed. or something. I can't call the Toshiba people . Anything I can do? I really need help.Hi! Your post is very confusing. When you say you deleted every thing and reset is not familiar to me. I think you may need to go back to factory. If you need help going back to factory, someone can help you. Just because your PC seems to be slow is not a reason to start deleting. If you really want help and are serious, I will try to help, but you must be more specific.
Dokie!

Satellite C855-1TD starts with message "Checking media [Fail]"
Okay, My Toshiba laptop has suddenly refused to work and will not start up. When it loads past the initial toshiba loading screen, a black screen appears saying "Checking media [fail]" I've tried everything that I have seen online that does not include opening up my laptop. It does not let me acess the Bios and I have tried every combination available.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C855-1TD and runs on windows 8.1 software.
Any ideas? Thanks!Hi
Usually you should be able to access the BIOS pressing the F2 button while booting up the unit.
I cannot say for sure but it looks to me like serious hardware malfunction if you are not able to access the BIOS.
Such serious hardware problem might be related to motherboard problems as well as RAM modules.
In case you are able to access the BIOS, check if the HDD is still visible on the first BIOS page.
If HDD isnt visible, then the notebook cannot find a proper bootable device and therefore the error Checking media fail appears. -
New to Windows Server 2008 R2 Administration.
I setup this Windows 2008 R2 Server on a Dell 2950 Poweredge server and have been migrating users off of an old NT style domain running on Samba 3.6 on CentOS.
I have the domain setup (nicholas.sacredheartsaratoga.org), added users, and have moved users / computers over to the new domain and working.
When attempting to setup Group Policy Objects, I continually get the "Failed to Open Group Policy Object" Error. This is driving me nuts and seems to be a 49 error.. which I have done a ton of research on but none of the suggested fixes seem
to be working.
I've been working at this for a couple of weeks and really need this fixed to be able to set GPO's correctly.

After Effects CS3 error: file not found -43 and TIFFIO failed to open the file
Hello
I am experiencing a problem with AE CS3.
I have several TIFF sequences (with alphas) that are giving me a headache. When I import them into AE, I get an "AEGP Plugin TIFFIO: Failed to open the file" error.
I researched the forums and found that this could be related to odd formatting of the source media (my TIFF sequence). I created these TIFFs in Maya 2008 and I have imported other sequences made with Maya into AE with no issues.
Just to be sure, I created a Photoshop droplet that re-saved my TIFFs as Photoshop TIFFs with the same names.
I re-imported the new Photoshop TIFF sequences (still with alphas) into AE CS3, and I get the same error.
Any ideas? I don't know what to do next.
Thanks,
-------------SYour USB drive may have had a weird character in it's name.
AE can't read CMYK images, that is usually the problem.
Imported images do not have to conform to any specific sizes (unless you want to go over 30,000 x 30,000 pixels.)

Playing video files still work, somehow. But starting vlc takes minutes when it should take a few seconds tops.
I'm using xf86-video-ati (1:7.5.0-2) since proprietary drivers no longer support 4k-series.
libvdpau 1.1-1 & libvdpau-va-gl 0.3.4-1 are installed.
Found at the wiki
grep -i vdpau ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log
would help identify which driver is in use... but getting result "No such file or directory".
My guess is I need to export VDPAU_DRIVER, but what value do I set? Do I need LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=vdpau too?
Thank you in advance, any advice appriciated.

Don't do that. Don't use wrappers, they often cause more resource usage than software decoding. Especially with VLC, which doesn't actually have good VAAPI support - it copies decoded frames back to system memory using an inefficient method.
Use native VDPAU, by installing mesa-vdpau, that's the package that contains libvdpau_r600.so. Then configure VLC to use VDPAU for both decoding and output, that way you'll get zero-copy playback.
BTW, even for using VAAPI, you should *not* use libva-vdpau-driver, you should instead use libva-mesa-driver and do
ln -s /usr/lib/dri/gallium_drv_video.so /usr/lib/dri/r600_drv_video.so
But, like I said, VLC's VDPAU support is better than its VAAPI support. mpv has great support for both.
Sorry for the slow response, been rather busy lately.
Great advice, done some days of testing on each and MESA clearly gives better overall results for my configuration. Thanks a lot Gusar. -
hello guys, this is my first time here. nice to meet you..
anyways, i have a problem. i have a satellite c50-a491 laptop and im trying to install windows 10 tech preview and every time im trying to install the os thru usb there is "check media fail" error and continues to lock screen, what should i do? when i installed windows 8.1 pro months ago it worked, but now when im trying to do it again the error appears.
i need you replies as soon as possible. thanks.Satellite C50-A491
Try it this way.
-Shut down Windows 8 while pressing the Shift key to completely power off.
-Power on and press F2 while the Toshiba logo is displayed to enter the UEFI Setup Menu.
-Go to the Security tab and set the "Secure Boot" setting to "Disabled".
-Go to the Advanced tab, enter "System Configuration" and set the Boot Mode to "CSM Boot."
-Press F10 to save and exit.
In order to successfully install Windows 10, you may need to remove the existing GPT partitions during Setup and create new ones.

Create task sequence media fail. User must be local admin on DP's
We've been running into this error recently:
Failed to open to WMI namespace '\\DP-01.DOMAIN.COM\root\default' (80070005)
CreateTsMedia 5/29/2014 1:24:08 PM
11196 (0x2BBC)
Unable to open WMI namespace '\\DP-01.DOMAIN.COM\root\default' (0x80070005)
CreateTsMedia 5/29/2014 1:24:08 PM
11196 (0x2BBC)
Failed to connect to namespace 'root\default' needed to read remote registry values. The user who creates media has to be local administrator on remote DP on 'DP-01.DOMAIN.COM' which contains media content.
CreateTsMedia 5/29/2014 1:24:08 PM
11196 (0x2BBC)
The "fix" right now is to add the user needing to create task sequence media to the local admins group on the DP, which isn't necessarily ideal.
Has anyone else run into this? We create TS media every so often, so this could have started around the April timeframe. We have not changed any roles or rights on the servers, no new GPO's, no role / rights changes within SCCM etc. Only
'changes' have been the normal critical & security updates that all workstations & servers receive.The majority of th time I have seen this error is when the drive you are imaging is in the wrong format. try it by cleaning the drive just before you start the image by doing F8 and running diskpart. This worked every time when deploying
win7, other problem I have had is when deploying win8 and not setting the BIOS to UEFI.
Hope one of these works for you.

I have formated on the drive with windows 7, OSX for Fat32 as well as in Linux and each time I run the media creator it wants to format again and then fails with error code: (040E2D-00-0000000)
Any thoughts?
This is for Application Disks... I was able to copy the system recovery media to a usb flash drive.I found solution for Toshiba Recovery Media Creator to create USB recovery Media in my laptop "Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1324".
Reinstall windows and applications by excuting Toshiba recovery program.
As the computer starts, press and hold on " 0 " to begin the recovery from recovery partition in Hard disk.
This may not work, if you have deleted your recovery partition in Hard disk.
Select Recovery option by selecting out of box state from toshiba recovery.
Any partition created by you will be deleted (ex. D: drive) and the data will be lost.
Warning: Back up your personal and valuable datas to an external storage device, before excuting the above mentioned recovery procedures. -
Wireless: wpa_supplicant failed to open config file [SOLVED]
Hi,
I'm having trouble configuring my wireless network. At the moment I'm following the guide from the wiki, I can scan for networks but when i try to connect with wpa_supplicant I get following error:

So far I've tried to google the problem, but haven't found a solution that works. I hope you can point me in the right direction.

I guess it have something to do with the firmware, but I'm not sure, as when I googled the problem I stumbled upon a site stating that the wireless card should be supported by the kernel.

"Failed to open the connection" problem related to multiple tables in the report?
Post Author: Gadow
CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
System specifics:
Web environment using ASP.Net 2.0 (from Visual Studio 2005 Professional)
Crystal Reports 2008, v. 12.0.0.549, Full
We have set up the following method for displaying reports via our website:
User is sent to a report-specific page. The user is given some filtering options specific to the report that will be viewed. When the user has specified the data filters, the user clicks a button.
The page wraps up the report parameters -- selection query, formula values, report location, the name to be displayed, etc. -- into a class which gets put into the Session object.
The page redirects to DisplayReport.aspx. ALL reports redirect to this page.
DisplayReport.aspx retrieves the report parameters from Session. A ReportDocument object is created and loaded, then set with the data from the parameters class.
A ConnectionInfo object is created and set with the relevant log on credentials. All of the reports draw from the same database, so the connection information is hard-coded as the same for all reports. The page then iterates through all of the tables in the Database.Tables collection of the ReportDocument and calls ApplyLogOnInfo to each table using the ConnectionInfo object.
The page is rendered and the user gets the filtered report.
We currently have seven reports. Five reports work fine and display the correctly filtered data with no error messages. Two reports generate a Failed to open the connection error and do not display. I have verified that the queries being sent to DisplayReport.aspx are valid, and as I said the connection information itself is hard-coded in the one page that displays the reports and this is identical to all reports.
The five reports that do work all have a single data table, either an actual database table or a single view. The two reports that do not work all have multiple tables. As far as I can tell, this is the only difference between the sets; all seven reports are based on the same DSN and I have verified the database on all of the reports. All of the reports were written using Crystal Reports 8, and all of the reports display fine in a Windows app I wrote some years ago using Crystal Reports 8. Again, the only difference between those reports that do work and those that do not is the number of tables used in the report: one table or view in the reports that display, more than one table (tables only, none use views) in the reports that do not display.
As for the code I am using, below are the relevant methods. The function MakeConnectionInfo simply parses out the components of a standard SQL connection string into a ConnectionInfo object. DisplayedReport is the ID of the CrystalReportViewer on the page.Protected Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
Dim o As Object = Session("ReportParams")
Dim ReportURL As String = ""
'Verify that there is a ReportParameters object
If o Is Nothing OrElse o.GetType IsNot GetType(ReportParameters) Then 'Redirect to the error page
Response.Redirect("/errors/MissingReport.aspx")
End If
ReportParams = CType(o, ReportParameters)
'Verify that the report exists
ReportURL = "/Reports/ReportFiles/" + ReportParams.ReportName
ReportPath = Server.MapPath(ReportURL)
If Not File.Exists(ReportPath) Then
Response.Redirect("/errors/MissingReport.aspx?Report=" + ReportParams.ReportTitle)
End If
InitializeReport()
End Sub
Protected Sub InitializeReport()
Dim RD As New ReportDocument
Dim CI As ConnectionInfo = MakeConnectionInfo(DB_Bonus)
Dim RPF As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterField = Nothing
RD.Load(ReportPath)
If ReportParams.SelectString <> "" Then
Dim Adapt As New SqlDataAdapter(ReportParams.SelectString, DB_Bonus)
Dim DS As New Data.DataSet
Adapt.Fill(DS)
RD.SetDataSource(DS.Tables(0))
End If
For Each kvp As KeyValuePair(Of String, String) In ReportParams.Formulas
Dim FFD As FormulaFieldDefinition = Nothing
Try
FFD = RD.DataDefinition.FormulaFields(kvp.Key)
Catch ex As Exception
'Do nothing
End Try
If FFD IsNot Nothing Then
Select Case FFD.ValueType
Case FieldValueType.DateField, FieldValueType.DateTimeField
If IsDate(kvp.Value) Then
FFD.Text = String.Format("Date()", Convert.ToDateTime(kvp.Value).ToString("yyyy, MM, dd"))
Else
FFD.Text = "Date(1960, 01, 01)"
End If
Case FieldValueType.StringField
FFD.Text = String.Format("""""", kvp.Value)
Case Else
'For now, treat these as if they were strings. If things blow up here,
'we will need to add the appropriate formatting for the field type.
FFD.Text = String.Format("""""", kvp.Value)
End Select
End If
Next
For Each T As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table In RD.Database.Tables
Dim TLI As TableLogOnInfo = T.LogOnInfo
TLI.ConnectionInfo = CI
T.ApplyLogOnInfo(TLI)
Next
DisplayedReport.ReportSource = RD
End Sub
Does this approach not work with reports containing multiple tables, or is there something I'm missing? Any meaningful suggestions would be much appreciated.Dear Dixit,
