Hello!
Well I have problem with my Laptop, recently the led on my Keyboard (like eco utility, pause/play media, etc... and the mouse pad led) don't function well... the only way to set on them, is going to the BIOS and setup the LEDS ON...
I wait for your help
cheers!

Sometimes resetting the motherboard helps.
With the battery and AC adapter removed, close the Power switch for ten seconds.
Re-attach those, press the Power button to turn the computer on, and then immediately press the F2 key while the Toshiba logo is displayed. Press F9 to restore the BIOS default settings, press F10, and then select Yes (Exit Saving Changes). The computer will restart.

  • Can anyone help me find a list of the ESSENTIAL drivers I need for a Toshiba Satellite A665-S6065?

Long story short: My Toshiba Satellite A665-S6065 won’t boot.
♥ I tried the Microsoft Windows 7 x64 Home Premium Recovery Disk.
♥ I tried the Toshiba Windows 7 x64 Home Premium OEM Recovery Environment
♥ I tried turning off the computer & holding down “0” until it beeps & enters the Recovery Partition.
♥ I tried turning off the computer & F8 to enter the Recovery Partition.
I've tried everything that anyone has told me to do...
So I “acquired” a Windows 7 x64 Home Premium OEM & tried to install from scratch when the message “No drivers found. Please insert/search for drivers to install before proceeding” came up or something close to that.
I need to reinstall Windows 7 x64 Home Premium OEM and the OEM disk I have isn't Toshiba Specific so it is asking for Drivers in order to install. Can anyone help me locate a list of the SPECIFIC DRIVERS I need to just get the OS in?
I've been to the Download Page for Satellite A665-S6065 but there are so many duplicate drivers, I'd be downloading all night!

  • Toshiba satellite a665 bootmgr is missing

I have a toshiba satellite a665-s5170. I got a new hard drive in today, and when I put it in, it went to the restoring screen and got stuck at "copying files" for well over 4 hours. I thought it was stuck so I restarted it, bad idea. Now it's saying
    "BOOTMGR is missing
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"
I tried the 0 on start up, f8, and taking the hard drive out and putting it back in. It keeps saying the same thing. What should I do? I just put the old hard drive in and it worked perfectly, took me to the log-in screen and I was able to log in. I put the new one back in and it gave me the same error. Did I get a faulty hard drive?

Please see my reply to this message.

  • Toshiba Satellite A665 Not Shutting Down

I just recently got a new oshiba Satellite A665 while on holiday in America, and so far its everything i was looking for, except i seem to be having an annoying problem, it wont shut down after iv been playing a game, it shuts down fine when iv been surfing the net or listening to music, but after a gaming session when i try to shut it down it gets to the shutting down now screen and then just hangs there...
Anyone able to help me fix this?
    Thanks In Advance

Unfortunately, it didn't nail the culprit. Ntoskrnl.exe is a Windows core file.
Can't hurt to install/reinstall this driver.

  • Toshiba Satellite A665-S6050

I reformatted my hard drive and now my laptop will not connect to the internet via wifi or lan does anyone know a list of drivers i need to resolve this thanks

    Satellite A665-S6050
    I reformatted my hard drive..
No idea what you mean by that.
Did you restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media?
Did you use a new hard drive?

  • Toshibs satellite A665 keeps booting to Toshiba Recovery Wizard

Is there any way to disable this at boot. I am working on this for a pc illiterate friend who doesn't know why the recovery screen started. If I select No on the warning screen doesn't work. Neither does selecting Yes and then cancel. I was once able to get it to boot to the window login screen but restarting the computer goes back to the Toshiba Recovery Wizard.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Looks like I got it working. I powered down the laptop and ,with the a/c adapter unpluged, pulled the battery. It has rebooted to the Win7 login screen several times now.

  • Toshiba Satellite A665 wont make it to the login screen

    Hi
My laptop can't make it to the login screen. Ive tried holding down 0 at the start, but the recovery menu thing wont come up. Ive tried all the commands in the start up menu and they all lead to black screens or going back to the boot menu. I would really like to get my laptop functioning, I dont care if I have to wipe all memory and everything off, as long as I have a laptop to use other than our family computer.

Please include your full model number when posting problems on the forums. It can be found on the bottom of your laptop. "A665" is only partial.
If booting from the recovery partition isn't working, you'll need to use external recovery media. If you didn't make recovery discs, you'll need to order them.

  • Toshiba Satellite A665-S6055 audio issues.

A few hours ago I noticed my volume controls seemed to have a mind of their own.  The volume bar would go all the way down to zero, and noticed the system control panel volume buttons (above the keyboard, not the same model but you get the idea) would light up on their own.  Volume Up, Down, and Mute were lighting up and messing with the volume.  It was as if someone was pressing them.  Thinking it may be a virus of some sort, I ran Avast and Malwarebytes but both returned nothing.
I then thought the system control buttons were bugging out, and decided to uninstall the TOSHIBA Value Added Package, which I thought would remove the functionality of said buttons.  However upon restart the problem has only gotten worse.  Now the Play/Pause button is lighting up randomly.  According to the control panel the Value Added Package was indeed removed, and I have not reintalled the latest version of it yet.
Any suggestions?  My sound is essentially ruined.
edit: I tried restoring the system to a few days ago but it didn't help.  After the restart yet ANOTHER button from the system control panel has started randomly lighting up.  I'm starting to think this isn't an audio issue, but an issue with the system control panel buttons.  I will reinstall the TVAP using this download and update this post with the results.
edit: Reinstalling TVAP did not solve the issue.  The issue has actually escalated quite dramatically.  Even more buttons are being accessed now, including the wi-fi button.  I'm literally unable to access this website on my laptop because the wi-fi function keeps getting turned on and off.  I fear a factory reset is my only hope.
edit: The issue goes away in Safe Mode.  Still doesn't really fix anything though.
edit: Possibly fixed.  Unplugged power cord, forced shut down, removed battery and waited about a minute.  Plugged the cord back in as well as the battery.  Started it up, went to BIOS settings and reset it to the defaults (F9).  Saved the setting and continued the reboot process.  The issue appears to be gone.  I tested the volume buttons and they are working properly.
    HELP.

  • Toshiba Satellite A665-S6050 Sound Crackling

As soon as I bought my new laptop, I've noticed the sound will crackle, even when muted. I've already updated the drivers and tried changing the sound qualitiy but none of that seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Does this happen with headphones as well?
    Try reinstalling the driver.

Do you use any external accessories such as USB devices? Are they working properly?
Has it always been like this, or did it just start happening?

  • Toshiba SATELLITE A665-S5170 external display wont work

i have removed the lcd screen as it was cracked. now when i go to boot up the computer it will go to boot into safe mode or normal. i click safe mode and everythign works fine. the display comes up perfect. then when i go back and restart and try to start it in normal mode the screen works up until the windows logo is done loading. then the screen goes to no signal. using a led tv and have it connected with an hdmi cord. i even tried using the vga into a different tv and still didnt work. Also i have tried hitting FN and F5 and it does not work. Im stumped and cant figure this out

It's probably due to no driver for the external monitor/TV your using. Try booting into safe mode again then go to the device manager, display adapter and uninstall any driver found. Then rebbot to normal mode. The unit should use a generic display driver. Then try to find a driver that is compatible with the monitor your using.

  • Satellite A665-S6050 Windows 7 Home Premium Memory Upgrade will not boot

Hope there might be a clue to assist.
Checked Toshiba support for recommended memory to upgrade from 2X2GB to 2X4GB.  Ordered Kingston KTT-S3BS/4G x 2 as recommended.  BIOS recognizes the memory, but Windows will not boot.  Tried Safe Mode and hangs after a few seconds.  Tried Repair Computer, also hangs after a few seconds.  Put original memory back in and it boots fine.  There was a brief flash of a blue screen once, but no dump file to be found.
To me it seems as ifthe issue is Windows, but I do not know enough about this to say definitively.  Just based on the percieved behavior when Windows trys to boot (hanging).
Any ideas appreciated before I go through return and try something else.
    Thanks.

he ordered from Toshiba and there memory did not work  ...    the kit he ordered was the one recommended for his laptop from Toshiba and ordered from Toshiba
Yes he did. But he ordered the Kingston memory that Toshiba recommended as he said...
Checked Toshiba support for recommended memory to upgrade from 2X2GB to 2X4GB.  Ordered Kingston KTT-S3BS/4G x 2 as recommended.   ...   I tried both of the Kingston modules recommended and neither worked.
I'm suggesting that he try the Toshiba part number (PA3677U-1M4G) suggested in the spec, which is made by Axiom.

  • Satellite A665-S6054: backlight keyboard and Fn+z accessibility

Hey guys i ran into one problem which then led to another
Firstly i have been doing updates to my computer but only recently have noticed that the Fn+z doesnt control my backlit keyboard any more
Seeing that all the other functions (that i know of) are working correctly i tried looking for online help to reactivate the key combo
finding accessibility on one of the forums.
So i went to Start -> Toshiba -> Utilities -> Accessibility
Then this error message appears +"Toshiba Accessibility Error. This system, cannot use "Toshiba Accessibility"+
Then i have to click OK..... nothing happens
So i searched the site many times for my Toshiba Satellite A665-S6054 drivers downloads ect.
One place it asks for the Serial # and it says something about it not being valid when i am sure that i enter it correctly
I have been messing around on the site for TOO LONG

    Hi
The Satellite A665-S6054 look like an US model.
Therefore the right driver page would be this:
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
I recommend also updating the BIOS since the BIOS controls the illumination.
You should also check if an VAP (value added package) update might help too

    > Now i got it i can download any Driver updates For Any PSAW3E Right ?
    Right!
    > Second i want to kno why i cant find Satellite with 14F With the model number PSAW3E-0N400WAR? because i found PSAW3E on 3 countries..
PSAW3E-0N400WAR number belongs to Satellite A665-14F. This model is released in Arabian region.
    > Germany is one of them ,so should i download it from there and its will be the same ? because in Germany i Found 14F(PSAW3E-0NH00JGR) and mine is (PSAW3E-0N400WAR)
PSAW3E-0NH00JGR is also to Satellite A665-14F but this was released for German market.
    > Second about the updates how should i install them ? they are Zip so should i Extract them and open the extracted file ?
You have to unzip the packages firstly and there should be a exe file which can be executed.

  • Satellite A665 randomly freezes

I've had this laptop (a Toshiba Satellite A665) for about three years now, running windows 7. It's never acted up until this problem started a few months back, in November of 2013. Randomly during use, it would freeze, and would require it to be physically shut off. The problem persisted for a month before I got a new hard drive (unrelated to the problem, I just happened to need more space is all). It worked fine for a maybe month or so before the problem started up again. Within the last few weeks it's become nearly inoperable.
The freezes come in different 'types'. Sometimes the screen will simply lock up and become unresponsive to any keyboard or mouse input. Other times, the display will actually go black. Whatever media was playing at the time of the freeze will pause and continue to play one sustained note until I shut it down. The timing is also very random; sometimes it will freeze after being on for a few hours, othertimes it will go into a fit and freeze five times in a minute, and a few times it doesn't even get to boot past the windows 7 loading screen before the screen blacks out.
I've taken the laptop in to the Microcenter nearby and they ran diagnostics and scans for three hours and were unable to find anything wrong. Just earlier today, I completely wiped the hard drive and re-installed windows 7 from scratch in hopes that it might fix it, but since then I've had the problem three times.
The problem does not seem to occur in safe mode. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before, or has a suggestion for fixing it.

I took it apart a few days ago and cleaned out the heatsink and fan filter, as well as applied some new thermal paste. I know toshibas have a problem with overheating so I was thinking maybe it was a heating problem causing the shutdowns, but that didn't fix anything (besides the fact that my laptop now runs much cooler!) Still hoping someone can help me solve this.
