Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 PSAAPE Need Device Drivers

Hi, I was wondering if anyone may be able to help. My father has been given a Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 (Model Num PSAAPE-00T00KEN) that someone has tried to do a fresh install of windows XP Professional sp2 on. The problem is all the device drivers have been written over and there is no driver disc with the laptop. After looking on the Toshiba website I'm having trouble locating the drivers for this exact model. Could anyone point me in the direction of said drivers or a link to them and also in what order I should download them.
Thanks for you help, Mick

Satellite Pro A100-03R (PSAAPE-00T00KEN)
Mick, the Toshiba drivers and utilities for that European model are here.
Be sure to follow the order of installation recommended.

  • Satellite Pro A100 (PSAAPE) Win XP Modem Driver

I have rebuilt an A100 (PSAAPE) recently with Windows XP (SP2) and after downloading all of the drivers from the Toshiba downloads site I have installed everything OK apart from the internal modem.
When I run the setup it appears to install OK but when I check device manager there is still a PCI device that needs installing and it's definitely the modem as there is no modems currently installed. Please can someone let me know how I can install the modem in this laptop as I have tried everything I can think off.
    Thanks
    Martin.

I called Toshiba yesterday and that's exactly what they suggested, I was a bit sceptical about it but
after going through the list including a large number of hotfixes! I came to the audio drivers install
and after installing the software and rebooting, the system detected an audio modem and then installed
the modem drivers as well!!! so I was able to resolve the issue but it did take a while to install
    everything!!
    Thanks
    Martin.

  • Satellite Pro L300 (PSLB9E) - need wireless drivers for Server 2003

    Hi all,
I have put server 2003 on my new laptop for a university project. Ive got everything to work except for the wireless. Ive tired the latest drivers from the support site for this laptop but they have not worked.
Does anyone know if there are any drivers for my wireless card so that it will work on server 2003? Or how can I find out exactly what wireless card I have in the machine as I have been told it may not be a Intel card it could be a Atheros card?
    Thanks

    Hello Jack
Server 2003 is not supported on Toshiba notebooks and you must try to find it somewhere on the net.
According the notebook specification your Satellite Pro has REALTEK 802.11(B/G) 13CH-RTL8187B WLAN card.

  • Satellite Pro A100 (PSAAPE) - Display Driver download

Hey I uninstalled my nVidia drivers by accident. I thought my laptop didn't have an nVidia card so I uninstalled them. Apparently it needs them. I went to the nVidia site and using it's new beta Graphics driver scanner it determined I needed an nVidia GeForce Go driver but it was unable to supply it. I searched the support sites for both nVidia and Toshiba furiously for the last hour but I've come up dry.
Could someone please find a download of this driver? I can't find it anywhere. I'd really appreciate this as I can't even watch a youtube video on the laptop now since the display drivers are gone. I have no backup or shadow copies because I only have 20GBs of HD space and I needed to conserve it. There's now way I can roll-back now.
    Please help someone.

    Hello
Can you please send us the exact notebook model number (A100-xxx) and also the whole part number (PSAAPE-xxx)?
It seems to be that some models are delivered with Intel graphic card. I just want to try to check hardware components on your notebook.

  • Cannot use WLAN connection with my Satellite Pro A100

    Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-830
    Netgear DG834G
Can not use wireless connection. While using "Config Free" to find wireless device the popup 'this connection is controlled by other software'. I do not know what it means and which software controls the connection. I have other laptop which is duly connected by wireless connection. I am ok with wired connection.
I do not know much about technicalities and thus seek help if any reader can.
    Thanks
    Kris

    >Can not use wireless connection. While using "Config Free" to find wireless device the popup 'this connection is controlled by other software'
You should not use the ConfigFree for the Wlan configuration but either the own Vista configuration options or the WLan configuration tool like Intel ProSet Utility or Atheros Clint Utility. It depends on the WLan card what utility can be used.
Intel card -> Intel ProSet Utility; Atheros WLan card -> Atheros Clint Utility
I assume the message +this connection is controlled by other software+ appears because one of the options mentioned above controls the WLan.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - Where can I find the ethernet controller driver?

I recently changed my operating system from Vista to XP and I am not able to find a the necessary driver for the ethernet controller in my Satellite Pro A100 PSAAPE.
Does anyone know where I can get this driver from?
    Thanks!

    Hi!
You can install the driver if go to device manager and select the Ethernet card. Right click on it and select update driver. Choose the advanced installation where you can choose the driver directory yourself.
Then you can install the driver! :)

  • Satellite Pro A100-080 does not boot - stays dark after 3 beeps

    Hello,
after one week off, the Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-080 (PSAASE-00G004GR, 4 GB RAM) of my children does not boot anymore.
When powering on the system, it *beeps 3 times* (one longer, two short beeps), then the HDisk light shortly blinks "blue" and then nothing more happens. A/C, Power and Batterie LEDs are "blue", which seem to be the OK state.
No other useful help, as the display stays dark.
We had upgraded to 4 GB MEM (Kingston) one year ago and I already tried the former used 1 GB (included when purchased) or the 2 x 1 GB replacement from December 2007, but same status with those modules. So it is not
    a defect memory.
I hope it is not the mainboard, probably only the included NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics adapter?
Does anyone have an idea, what might be the issue?
    Thx for a short help.

    Hello
Generally speaking this kind of beep codes are hardware related or with other words hardware is malfunctioning. So I think its a hardware problem and an ASP should check your notebook to identify the reason of this.
On the Toshiba website you will find a list of ASPs:

  • Need product Code For AC Adaptor (Satellite Pro A100-722)

I am looking for the product number for the AC adaptor of the model below so I can purchase the correct replacement AC adaptor.
    Satellite Pro A100-722
    Part Number: PSAAPE-00D006EN
    Help would be great.

    Thanks R2D2
i was getting a different ac adaptor (*PA3468E*) on the Toshiba website for my laptop which was wrong as it had a 19v supply and my laptop only takes 15v.
On the Topaz Support (Official Toshiba Parts Supplier) website it was refering me to one with the product code *PA2521E-2AC3* I gather there is no difference between this and the one you have suggested *PA2521U/E-2ACA*.
    Thanks Again.

  • Satellite Pro A200-1MI - Need driver for PCI memory controller

I have the Toshiba Satellite Pro A200-1MI(PSAE7E) having a problem with PCI Memory Controller on my notebook.
When I go to Device Manager it shows question mark in the tab Other Devices and when I go there, it's yellow ?(question mark) and !(exlamation mark) at PCI Memory Controller. I took and downloaded all the drivers from your site:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
for XP but I am not sure what type of drivers do I have to install for PCI Memory Controller, is it bios driver or something else? I just need to know what to install to overcome that problem with my Device Manager and PCI Memory Controller.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello akibono
I presume you have installed clean WXP on your notebook and now you want to install all drivers, tools and utilities. Am I right about that?
Anyway, after WXP installation you must install all drivers, tools and utilities in specific installations order. After doing this everything should be OK and every hardware component will be properly configured.
Please install all stuff as follow:
    WXP
    Chipset driver
    Display driver
    Sound driver
    Modem driver
    Storage manager
    LAN driver
    Touchpad driver
    WLAN driver
    Toshiba Assist
    Flash Media driver
    Webcam driver
    Hardware setup
    Controls
    And so on
I hope everything will be OK.

  • Bluetooth would not be recognized on Satellite Pro A100

I have a Satellite Pro A100-828 running Win XP Pro.
It is supposed to have integrated bluetooth but when I install the bluetooth stack, a message pops up saying usb device has malfunctioned and is not recognized by windows.
Under Device Manager it is listed as an Unknown Device.
I've tried different versions of the bluetooth stack but the same message always pops up.
Is there a software fix for this or does it mean my hardware is faulty? Would be grateful for any advice.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
where did you downloaded the Bluetooth stack? And another question: did bluetooth ever function properly? Would be interesting.
Another try could be to download a Linux Live-CD and to check if the problem is maybe more a hardware related issue.
So if you need a alternative download source then try this address:

  • Connecting a Satellite Pro A100 to a TV?

    HI there.
I've got a Satellite Pro A100-PSAA3E and I'm trying to connect it so that it displays on my tv.
Ive tried connecting it through the S-Video out port on my laptop to the TV via a S-Video to SCART cable and neither the laptop or the tv are picking anything up.
I've tried every input on my TV, even rebooted the laptop with the TV already on and set to every input.
I have also tried using a VGA-video cable and have gotten no further, even after trying everyhint i can think of.
As far as I am aware I have the latest drivers and have tried everything I can think of.
When ever i go into Display-Settings-Advanced-Displays, the box for the TV is completely greyed out and unclickable.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi
From my own personal experience some s-video-to-scart cables supports the wrong pin assignment.
I have connected my notebook to the TV but I got either only a white/grey display or nothing. I have changed the cable and bought only an s-video cable.
This helped to solve the issue.
One tip; on some TVs you need to enable the s-video option. Furthermore you have to use the FN+F5 key combination to switch the display on the TV

  • Satellite Pro A100 PSAA3E: What WLan driver should I use?

What wireless software should i download to make my built in wireless work.
I have downloaded almost all of them but they install and i see no wireless there :S
    Help please?

    Hi
The Satellite Pro A100 were equipped with the different WLan cards; two different Wlan cards are possible; Intel and Atheros.
All necessary WLan drivers can be found either on the Toshiba European driver page or on the Toshiba WLan portal.
    http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
Check both drivers. One of them will work for sure!

  • Satellite Pro L50-B05D - need WLan driver for Windows 7

    Hi
    I bought a *Toshiba Satellite Pro Model L50-B05D psktaa-05d001*.
I needed a new machine as I was starting a new job the next day.
During an install off office 2013 the machine in one of its reboots had a catastrophic error.. and refused all recovery attempts. around 19:00 at night...
I needed an operational machine for work...the next day
I pulled out my Windows 7 and proceeded to reconfigure machine and install Windows 7.. The Machine is operational BUT I cannot get the Wireless LAN functioning... for the Model I have there does NOT appear to be a Wireless lan driver...
The network card functions BUT not wireless LAN..
Can anyone please advise what is the correct Wireless LAN driver for the machine...
    Thanks

    Hi
Your notebook Satellite L50-B05D belongs to the PSKTAA series and this series was released in Australia only.
But the similar notebook series Satellite L50-B PSKTAE was released in Europe.
Therefore the drivers from Toshiba EU driver page should be compatible.
    Visit this page:
    http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
    Here choose.
    Notebook
    Satellite
    Satellite L
    Satellite L50-B
    PSKTAE
    Win 7 64bit
Note: there are three different Wlan drivers: Intel, Atheros, Broadcom

  • Satellite Pro A100-830 with 4Gb of memory but BIOS tells me I only have 3Gb

I have a Satellite Pro A100-830 and I bought the maximum allowed memory for it which is 2x2Gb which in my world totals 4Gb. When I put the dimms in on their own in either slot, the BIOS reports 2Gb. Well done bios! When I put them both in together, I only see 3Gb in the bios!
I did find this link on the Crucial website. http://www.crucial.com/kb/answer.asp?qid=4251
It would suggest that page files, devices etc take up memory on you system at start up, before the OS kicks in I assume. If you have not got the maximum memory installed, you should see the total memory. If you have got the maximum memory installed then you will not see the memory in use by the page files etc. Why would this be? Why would you see 2Gb if you only have 2Gb but then see only 3Gb if you have 4Gb because of the system!
Can anyone shed any light on this subject and either qualify or reject the information in this link. Do I need to replace the memory and/or the pc?
    Thanks
    Mark

Why would windows have an effect on what the bios is reporting since the bios has not even loaded the OS at this point.
I am happy that system hardware (nic etc) might take some of the resources, it confirms that here (http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/FAQ/index.asp?axn=Detail&LangNo=0&FAQNo=337) but not 1Gb in total!
BTW, it is Transcend memory and I put it into my Tecra A8 and the BIOS reported 4096Mb as expected. When we put a 1Gb and 2Gb in the A100-830, it reported 3Gb as expected. (3143680 to be precise!) When both 2Gb were installed it reported EXACTLY the same, not even an extra byte. According to that link above, you might expect to only see 3.6Gb out of 4Gb which would be OK, but I am not happy about a machine that needs 1Gb for system resources!
So unless you can explain how windows is effecting the bios reported installed memory, then this machine is gone! The bios should not care if you have windows, linux, dos or anything else for that matter.

  • Upgrading Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 hard drive

    Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A10. It is an old laptop, but rather than change it, I would like to install a new hard drive. I have previously put in new RAM to this laptop, but I know the Hard drive change is more complex, so I need as much help as I can get
The laptop is running well, but the 20GB HDD is obviously too small. I have an external USB hard drive for multimedia stuff etc, but the main HDD, even with just the Windows XP and other software on it is always near to the 20GB and the time has come to change
I know I can handle the 'hardware' changeover without much problem. I am intending to get a USB enclosure to allow a clone of the old drive to be copied to the new one, so that when I do install it, the only difference to the laptop will be the larger storage capacity on the internal HDD
I have read extensively about the variety of issues and I am still quite confused. The main issues for me seem to be
-Whether the BIOS affects the type of internal HDD I can install
-I am fairly sure the interface I need is ATA-100/IDE. So does this mean I cannot use SATA?
-What size of HDD can I install? Is there a limit?
-Does the current internal HDD have partitions? I am not sure? It is the same as it was when I bought it, so would Toshiba have put a partition on it containing OS or software? I don't know. I have 'recovery discs' but no Specific windows disc, as one did not come with the laptop. So considering this, how do I go about 'cloning' the old drive onto the new, and then installing it 'seamlessly'?
-Do I need specific software for a 'clone'? Otherwise, how do I do it?
-What do I need to look for in a HDD, when buying? Some sellers seem to see potential issues to do with the capacity, others do not. Im confused
So, as I say, all I want, is to get a larger internal HDD and install it without problems. Im willing to do the work involved, but only when Im confident I have all the necessary information and 'boxes ticked'. Otherwise I fear it may be a disaster.
I am not able to afford to buy a new laptop, so all help is very much appreciated
All advice welcome. Also, if you have any questions just ask
    Thanks in advance
    Jason

Can you provide the COMPLETE model number and the part number for that model?  I don't want to give you any incorrect information.  The part number would look like this.  PSA10U-3V1JG8
But based on what you have stated so far I would say you need an EIDE or ATA hard drive.  Due to bios limitations that I am 95% certain will be in place with your model you will be limited to a 120GB or smaller 9.5mm thick 2.5" ATA/EIDE hard drive.  I recommend Western Digital Scorpio BLue drives for their combination of price, performance, and reliability.
Once you post the model and part number I can verify this so you can order the correct drive for you system.
Western Digital has a free version of Acronis True Image that you can download that you can use to clone your old drive to your new drive if you purchase a WD drive.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.
