Toshiba Service Station question

when i turned on my laptop today i recieved this message "one or more modules failed to load", it only has happend today and i hope it only does today.  My question is what does it mean?

You know what, before you start to search for solution and spent hours playing around I recommend you to install OS again using HDD recovery option. Install OS again and check if everything works well with factory settings again.
In the past I have done this many times and immediately after clean installation everything worked well.
Who knows what you have done with your machine. Every of us has own way to configure and optimize OS for usage. Maybe you have disabled something. Who knows? It is not easy to offer some concrete solution to this.
Install OS again and check functionality without changing anything. I am 100% sue it will work properly.
By the way: which notebook model do you have?

  • Qosmio X500-128, taking forever to boot also Toshiba service station error

    Hi
My toshiba qosmio x500-128 is taking forever to boot up these days, iver rolled back the system using system restore, ive stopped any unessential startup services that i know are not req at startup but the system still takes forever to boot, ive also updated to the latest BIOS etc
Another thing is that everytime i login i get the error that Toshiba Service station has stopped working...
any help would be greatly appreciated

So if I am to do a system reformat. I am no novice with computers but by no means completely efficient at everything. What is the "best-practice" when doing a system reformat?
Burn a reformat disc from the system utilities?
Is there a way to reformat that would install the latest drivers/BIOS?
I am going to have a headache with the stuff on my HDD, eg. iTunes, photos, university work don't think I have enough space on my extra HDD's to store it all then to re-transfer it all back... :(
Lets just say I'm not looking forward to doing it, and I am the one everyone goes to to do these sort of things for, I don't mind if I mess up their computers that much but this laptop is my baby :D

  • Toshiba Service Station stopped working

If any could help would much appreciated,
Did a clean upgrade to windows 7 with no problems couple of months ago. Now when I start up get error message: Toshiba Service Station Stopped working.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the file several times, and re-downloaded the file but same error appears after installation. Is there an update somewhere for this, or a new version?

All you have done is right and obviously there is some problem with Win7.
Maybe Toshiba will release new version soon.

  • Toshiba Service Station

Plz Help .. For the past week I have been getting the popup message "Toshiba Service Station has stopped working" whenever I bootup my L555D-S7930 Satellite laptop. I am running Windows 7 (32 bit). This popup has 2 options .. Search online and close app or close app. I have tried the "search" option but it does not seem to be fixing the problem because it still comes up the next time I bootup. Most of the time I just use the "Close" option but I would like to either fix the problem or if the app is not needed then to just shut it down.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Service Station is basically useless anyway so you aren't missing much by uninstalling it.
Go to the Communicate link at the top of this page and click on the Sign Up For Updates link.  Now fill in the model number of the system or systems that you want to keep track of and you will recieve an e-mail whenever there is an update posted for that model.  The service station only alerts you to Critical updates while the Sign Up For Updates will alert you to ALL updates which is much more useful.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • A505-S6980 Toshiba service station shut down

I have an A505-S69803 with windows 7 for 3 days.  Now when it boots up it says Toshiba Service Station must close.  I reinstalled the app. and as soon as it says complete it shuts back down.  Can anyone help?

    Hi
To be honest I have no experience with this tool.
    Im using Tempro.
However, I assume Toshiba service station was not tested and not designed for Win 7 at this time.
Maybe you will need to wait for next update which would work with Win 7 properly.
You must understand that the Win 7 drivers were published as Beta version this would mean that the final version would be released in the next time
In my opinion you should take a look from time to time on the Toshiba US page.
I noticed that every day new drivers are released and published.

  • Satellite L850/0C9: Toshiba Service Station recommending wrong BIOS update?

I have a Satellite L850-0C9 laptop and Toshiba Service Station is recommending I install the new BIOS update labelled "Satellite Pro C850 BIOS Update - v6.50".
Should I install this as its not the same model as my laptop,
If not why is Service Station recommending I install it?

I assume this is your notebook and these are all the drivers and BIOS available for this notebook model:
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/l850/pskdla-0c900r/download
The latest BIOS is v6.50 and it looks to be the right one.
The Pro C850 seems to belongs to the same series so possibly the BIOS is the same.
However, the BIOS update is always an sensitive procedure and from my point of view its not really necessary if you dont have an serious problems.

  • Toshiba Service Station update

    Hi everyone,
I just got a message from Toshiba Service Station that there are software updates for me to install.  In it, there are 3 BIOS version updates, 3.40, 3.10, and 3.00.  Do I need to install them one by one starting with the lowest one or can I just go ahead and install the latest one, the 3.40 version?  Thanks alot!

3.4 will incorporate all that was changed in 3.0 and 3.1.  However, the common wisdom on this site is, unless you are having a problem that these updates were designed to correct, leave well enough alone. Many problems seem to be created when messing with the BIOS. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • Toshiba Service Station v2.6.13 vs MSI Wizard Toshiba Service

Is it better Toshiba Service Station Vers. 2.6.13 or MSI Wizard Toshiba Service Station last update on 02.26.2015?
Also why, if I remove the first in favor of the second it will be unable to put it back in the future?

  • TOSHIBA Service Station Server Issues on Windows 8.1

I have gone back and forth between installing and uninstalling several versions of the Service Station on my Toshiba Satellite C855D which is running Windows 8.1,  I even shut off my firewall and disabled and changed setting on anything that would be blocking the connection to the Service Station Server. Is anyone else having this issue? I have included a screen shot from the last install which was 2.6.8 but all the errors are exactly the same even on version 2.6.13. I don't know what else to do to resolve this matter. HELP please...

  • Re: Toshiba Service Station - Cyberlink Power DVD Update

    Hi Everyone
Just purchased this new Toshiba Satellite L50-B laptop, downloaded the firmware update and then it said the DVD software needed updating. But it seems the boxes are greyed out in the Service Station app. Please can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ben

    Hi Ben
Pretty often messages from service station can be confusing. You have new notebook and if everything works perfectly you don't need to install any update, especially not for DVD player.
As far as I know service station just offers information about updates but you are not forced to do this.
I use my notebook since more than three years with original factory settings and I didnt install any update for drivers or preinstalled software. Everything works well and stabile. Why to change anything?

  • Toshiba Service Station :: Windows 8 - Toshiba Start configurations

This update popped up for me in the windows service station today.
it says it is for Windows 8, but I'm running Widows 8.1.
Is anyone running Windows 8.1 run this update?
I'm assuming it won't even have any effect until the next auto-date so I guss there is no real way to check.  Right?
