Total App Usage (GB)

iPhone 5S , Settings/General/Usage - for me the usage total for all apps is much different than the total - in my case .75GB for the sum of the usage for all apps versus 2GB shown at the top.
does anyone else have a similar result ? does anyone know why ?

Folding@Home is taking up the cycles in the background. I thought it was disabled when the controller app wasn't running.
Pausing the process dropped my usage to normal levels.

Does anyone know if there is there an application to track iPhone app usage?

Since all apps are "sandboxed", there won't be any app like that.

BlackBerry World Total App Count?

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone new what was the total app count for BlackBerry World, this includes all versions of the OSs (BlackBerry OS [4.5.0+], BlackBerry Tablet OS, and BlackBerry 10 OS). A reply would be awesome, thanks.

Look in downloaded panel. If not then look in folders it has to be somewhere. You can also search on the phone itself. Top bar usually has a white strip to type in. Type in app world and click search in menu.

Are total impressions Usage Page cumulative ongoing? HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

I have a HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw
Are total impressions on the Usage Page report cumulative for the life of the machine?
I want to print a "Usage Page" monthly, because I want to know how many total impressions (prints & copies) I print every month, or between two dates for that matter. This will also help me to know how many impressions I get from my ink, etc.
If the "Total Impressions" are cumulative, then I can just subtract the two numbers - one from the last - to get the difference. But if this is not the case, then I will not have accurate information.

Yes, the total impressions count is cumulative over the life of the product.

Retrieve app usage for other apps?

Hi everyone, I'm wondering what information is possible to get from other apps running in iOS7?
Is it possible to find out how much time has been spent in other apps on your device? Maybe just native apps?
I know there is the ability to find out how much data each app has used (thus the proliferation of data usage apps) but am looking for a way to track time spent in an app.
Also, you can do this with a jailbroken phone (AppTracker and AppCap). Wondering if there is a way to track this same kind of info in iOS7 without jailbraking.
If not, is there a list of what kinds of system information can be accessed by an app?

I don't see how that would be possible if there isn't a published API for it. Apps run in their own sandbox. They are unaware of any other apps. If you want this feature, I suggest you file a bug report with Apple to ask for it. It seems like some useful data if you can guarantee (to Apple) that you wouldn't share the data with anyone other than the user.

When Apple tracks your app usage for your battery is it able to track the usage of apps you've deleted off of your phone?

Ive downloaded aops that I've ised but deleted. Is Apple able to track the usage of that apo that has been deleted?

Usage data of individual apps is not regularly sent to Apple and you can simply opt out of sending any diagnostic or crash data. And a deleted app certainly cannot send usage data as it is not available on the device to be used, nor can an absent app crash and generate a log report.

App to track App usage?

I'd like to arrange my Apps in order of most used. Let's say I have Compass on the front page but I only used it once in the last month and Maps is on the last page but I use it every week. It would make more sense for Maps to be toward the front. Does anyone know of an application that will track and record the usage of applications on the iPhone and/or iPad?

I think an app like this would be very helpful. As users put more and more apps on there phones, from time-to-time you can do some housecleaning by streamlining what is on your first page versus what is on your third or fourth page, or what is buried in a folder, or if you just need to delete it.
Having an app like this is more about turning down the noise, and being able to focus on what helps you be the most productive not only for work, but for your family life and interest as well. Sure people probably have some idea what they click on the most, but it is the apps that may be every other day or once or twice a week that you have no idea if you are really "using" or if they are just a time drain for you.
I say, Apple, please make this app so knowbody has to worry about your terms. Have it keep a tally of how often we are using all our apps, and for how long each app is getting our attention.

App Usage Reports Accurate?

I'm looking at usage reports for apps like Word, Excel and GroupWise which say the time period for the report is 3 months. The numbers for run time hours and active hours seem low for all users. If the report said it was one month I'd be more incline to trust the numbers. How can I tell how accurate these numbers are.

App usage stats in iTunes?

Is there a way to know how often I have used a particular app on my iPod touch?
In iTunes, for Music, I can get info about 'Play Count' and 'Last Played'. Is there something similar for Applications?
Knowing that would allow me to e.g., remove apps based on hard usage data, or re-organize my apps and have the one I use the most in one page.

Measuring total bandwidth usage

Does anyone know if there is a way to measure the total amount of data uploaded and downloaded through the Airport Extreme? With the upcoming Comcast limit of 250GBs, I want to try and get an accurate measurement of the bandwidth used by my "local" network which includes my PM G5, a Mac Mini and a MacBook Pro. I found individual apps (like SurplusMeter) that will measure the bandwidth used by each computer. I was just hoping to find a tool that would measure what goes "through" the wireless access point.

That looks like a possibility, but when I looked at the cacti site, everything was over my head. I am neither a programmer nor do I know anything about SNMP MIB data.
Something else that occurred to me, however, was that I am only using my Airport as a wireless hub. I have a Vonage [Motorola VT2442] router hooked up and configured as the router for my local network. On the router web page is a 'Network Statistics' page that may have what I want. Is anyone familiar with that router model? I noticed that when I restarted it through the built-in web page, the 'Network Statistics' went back to zero. Can I assume that if I simply add up the "Total Bytes" both transmitted and received for BOTH the interfaces (Ethernet & WAN), divide by 1,000,000, I will end up with the total amount of data in megabytes processed over my Comcast connection? (That is, since the router was rebooted).
Thoughts?

Twitter app usage on iphone

I'm just wondering, the twitter app is about 10mb, i look at data usage and that read 248mb
Where has that 200 plus MB come from ? And how do i delete it ? I was going to depete the twitter app and the reinstall, but it told e it would remove all data too

I don't really think the Settings app got deleted in the first place, but at least you got it back. As for Twitter, do a Spotlight Search and type in Twitter. To do a Spotlight Search, go to your home screen and then press the home button, or go to the leftmost page on your screen.

Counting App Usage

Anybody know of an application that will log the usage of installed apps on my iMac? For example something that will generate a list of Application name and date/time started will suffice.
I want to know who (on our family iMac) is using which applications, when and at what frequency. This will allow me to make decisions on what applications to keep or uninstall.

Have you looked at Activity Monitor? If you need more detail, try the top command in a Terminal. It would be fairly easy to have a little script run periodically to extract what you want with top.
Simplest, perhaps, would be to ask the family.
