Total Bandwidth requirement for 720p 30fps video call to mcu 5300 and P2P call

Hi All,
One of customer purchased 5300 MCU VCSC and VCSE from us.
All infra will be setup in their HQ and all endpoints are from internet. All endpoints will register to VCSE.
customer requirements are 5 concurrent encrypted calls to MCU with 720p 30fps and point to point 10 concurrent encrypted calls.
endpoints are cisco c series endpoints and polycom HDX endpoinds.
They haven't  subscribe the line yet. we need to propose the minimum bandwidth requirement to customer.
1) what is the minimum bandwidth requirements to achieve 720p 30fps encrypted call to MCU?
2) what is the total bandwidth requirements for 5 concurrent encrypted calls to MCU?
3) what is the total load of bandwidth requirements for 5 concurrent encrypted calls to MCU and  point to point 10 concurrent encrypted calls?
Thanks advance for you answer!

point to point 10 concurrent encrypted calls?
Even with a miltisite license installed on the codec to enable the built in bridge on the endpoint, you're only going to be able to connect up to 3 sites max, the endpoint hosting the conference that has the multisite option + 3 others. You'll have to rely on the MCU to host these conferences.

  • Bandwidth requirement for voice calls

    Hi All,
Need expertise advise on the following concern about voice call.
    1. Bandwidth requirement for video call across all other endpoint(using Polycom / Lifesize end point at their end)
        a)Standard Video
        b)1K HD Video
        c)4K HD Video
    2. Plus can we determine bandwidth required for all the following below:
    a. 1 to 1 VC  end point ( Cisco TP – Cisco TP)
    b. Bridge call  ( Cisco TP to Polycom / Lifesize)
    c. 1 to 1 VC end point ( Cisco TP – Polycom / Lifesize)

Thanks for the info Wayne. I missed out information about the endpoint.
Client using CTS 3010.  Acoording to datasheet it says
11.9 Mbps (1080p, 30 fps best motion handling), 10.1 Mbps (1080p, 30 fps better motion handling), 8.8 Mbps (1080p, 30 fps good motion handling)
    6.4 Mbps (720p, 30 fps best motion handling), 4.5 Mbps (720p, 30 fps better motion handling), 3.1 Mbps (720p, 30 fps good motion handling)2
My question is does the bandwidth required for both ways or only one way?
    And I'm aware CTS 3010 doesn't support 4K video.

  • Bandwidth required for Lync 2013 audio video call

    Hi,
what is the required bandwidth required for  lync 2013 audio video call from out side of company network. considering users will use owa integration with exchange 2013  for audio video call.
i tried with lync bandwidth calculator but could not figure it out.
actually i have some remote site where users have connectivity of 160 kbps only.

There are a number of variables such as call type and video resolution, but I would suggest using this table as a guide:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj688118.aspx
For example for capacity purposes with a Lync peer-to-peer call you're looking at 57Kbps (86 with FEC)

  • Total Bandwidth req for IP Phone

    Hi,
    consider the scenario:
I have centralized deployment.I have branch site which will make a call in ratio of 2:1 (if there is 2 phones one will be active ONcall).
    I want to know
1.what will be the Bandwidth required for SCCP registration on CCM for single IP Phone
2.What will the bandwidth requirement for Keepalive messages between branch and data centre for single IP Phone with MGCP as wellas H323
3.Will there be any other thing utilizes the bandwidth if so what are they?
    Thanks,
    Hari

the main thing u need to consider in voip bandwidth
    is the codec in use
for example with g711 voice call consude about 64k while with g729 24 this is whiout over head
    one more idea
if u are using CAC with CCM one call g711 needs 80k and g729 24k
    while with an IOS gatekeeper
    g711 needs 128k and g729 16k per call
    all above without L2 overhead
    good luck

  • What are bandwidth requirements for FaceTime?

I can't get FaceTime to work. A 'Ping' check tells me that I've got 20Mb download and 1 Mb upload. Is this enough ?  What are bandwidth requirements for FaceTime?  If I've theoretically got a fast enough connection, then where is the restriction of bandwidth occurring?   How can I find out whether the problem is inside my computer, or on the net?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

  • What are the ports required for the Audio, Video and A/V conferencing when the following end points are enabled for QoS in Lync 2013 server?

    Hi All,
What are the ports required for the Audio, Video and A/V conferencing when the following clients are enabled for QoS in Lync 2013 server?
    Client Type
Port range  and Protocol required for Audio
Port range and Protocol required for
    Video
Port range and Protocol required for
    A/Vconferencing
    Windows Desktop   Client
    Windows mobile App
    Iphone
    Ipad
    Andriod phone
    Andriod Tablet
    MAC desktop client
    Please advise. Many Thanks.

Out of the box, 1024-65535 for all of the client ports.  :)
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398833.aspx
You'll want to tune your client ports a bit
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204760.aspx as seen here, and then the client ports would use those ranges which is easier to set QoS markings.  I'm not sure the mobile clients respect that setting.
Elan's got the best writeup for Windows clients here:
    http://www.shudnow.net/2013/02/16/enabling-qos-for-lync-server-2013-and-various-clients-part-1/
However, the marking of the packets is the tricky part.  Windows can do it via Group Policy, but for the other clients you'll need to have the network specifically prioritize ports regardless of DSCP markings.  You have to do it based on ports
as the traffic could be peer to peer.

  • Bandwidth required for Peoplesoft

    Hi,
We are doing sizing in terms of the bandwidth required for peoplesoft v9.0. The server is going to be based in a central location. It is my understanding that Self service and GP would be the most bandwidth consuming modules. GPl would be run from a central location and all employees who will be spread over different geographical locations would have access to Self Service. Do you have any idea of what the minimum bandwidth required would be in this case? I understand that Peoplesoft is PIA but there will be some minimum bandwidth requirement for good performance. I would appreciate any input in this regard, even rough estimates or past experiences will be really helpful. Thanks

I don't have any solid tcp/ip numbers for you. Most of the network traffic is between the web, app, and database servers. If your users can browse the web (MSN, Google, etc) from their location without complaints, they will be able to use PeopleSoft. If you turn on gzip compression in your web profile, that will help a lot. Most of the PeopleSoft JavaScript, CSS, and images are stored as external files so they benefit from client side browser cache. Once a user loads a page, all that will travel back and forth is the HTML that comprises the page itself. Yes, the HTML is a bit bloated as it is based on the HTML design model from several years ago (lots of tables for formatting). A FieldChange, button click, or save will reload the entire page.
Are your users going to be using 56k modems or something better? Really, latency is probably more important than bandwidth in this case.
PeopleSoft doesn't maintain a persistent connection between the web server and browser, so I'm not sure that distance is really an issue.
Just to give you some rough numbers, with JavaScripts, etc in my browser cache, the contents of the Timesheet page is 39k without gzip compression and 6k with gzip compression. So, with gzip compression turned on, you should get much better use of your bandwidth.

  • Bandwidth Requirement for Video Call

    Hi,
I am having Cisco 9951 phones in my all location now we want to configure Video call between two location (Head office to SRST locaiton). Please help me how much bandwidth is require to make video calls.
Also, what all configuration is require for the same.
    Regards,
    Shambhu

The default is inter-region max video call bit rate is 384K, close to one video call.
The default Interregion max video call bit rate is 384K.
The bandwidth would depend on the resolution being used. The recommended bandwidth for resolutions are as follow:
    VGA 360p@30fps: 768 - 2000kbps
    VGA 360p@15fps: 448 - 767kps
    CIF@30fps: 320 - 447kbps
    CIF@15fps: 256 - 319kbps
    QCIF@30fps: 128kbps – 255kbps
    QCIF@15fps: 64 - 127kbps
And 9971 IP Phone supports below formats:
    SQCIF (128 x 96 pixels)
    QCIF (176 x 144 pixels)
    QVGA (320 x 240 pixels)
    SIF (352 x 240 pixels)
    CIF (352 x 288 pixels)
    VGA (640 x 480 pixels)

  • How do I export a 720p 30fps video that is suitable for NTSC DVD authoring?

I have some 720p HD videos, but they are 30fps. I want to encode them (using a separate program) to SD MPEG-2 for authoring an NTSC DVD. How do I conform these files to the 29.97fps frame rate needed for DVD authoring? Do I export the video as is @30fps, but set the MPEG-2 encoder to use 29.97fps during the encode? Will that sync cause problems or stuttering? Or do I need to do something else to the video before it can be encoded to MPEG-2?
I am quite new to using HD video, and never had to work with 30fps material before.

What camera did you shoot this on?  Also I thought you said all the clips were 720p, the reason I'm asking what camera you shot this stuff is because with several camera's even though they say 720p they are actually recording as 720PsF which will appear to cs4 as interlaced footage. It also appears as interlaced to FCP and also media info and Gspot.

  • Bandwidth Requirement for VT advantage..

How much BW is required for a Video calls for g729 codec and g.711 calls.
Where to define the codec for video calls.
How to size the BW for calls over LAN as well as for WAN.

There is no g729 or g711 codec for video, it is wideband, h.263, etc. G729 and g711 are for audio calls only.
The VT Advantage video cameras support Wideband video codec, i.e., up to 8128 kbps, which if used is ofcourse recommended only with the same LAN, and H.263 video codec, i.e., from 128 kbps to 1.5 Mbps, over the WAN.
Codec for video calls are defined in System > Region but in terms of bandwidth (128kbps, 384kbps, etc in increments of 64kbps) and not the actual codec.
For connections over the WAN, 128 kbps is the minimum and considered low-quality video, and from 384kbps upwards considered high-quality video. However the actual bandwidth used on the WAN and the QoS configs would be the bit-rate + 20% overhead, which for a video call at 128 kbps would be 154 kbps and for a video call of 384kbps, would be 460 kbps. This bandwidth includes both video and audio channel of the video call.

  • Bandwidth requirement for a Mobile solution

    Hi
Is there any data that I can use to determine the bandwidth requirement needs for a mobile solution? (In a connected mode). Lets assume that we have only 1 user using only one app/screen - mobile sales order. For each sales order, what will be the bandwidth used? Assumption is that the screen is also loaded and data is also transmitted.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Robert,
please have a look at the SDN Mobile Infrastructure "homepage" and select the implementation case studies from the e-learning iview. Maybe there you can get an impression about possible implementation efforts.

  • Bandwidth requirement for Storage over WAN

Working on a project for storing data across geographically dispersed locations, I need to be able to estimate how much bandwidth that will be required to do remote mirroring. I assume the initial data has been loaded on my backup servers at the 2 locations but I need to have a fair idea of how much bandwidth remote mirroring will translate to for approx 1Gb change in my main site server data.
    Could anyone please help out.

The amount of bandwidth required will be a function of two details. 1) what is the timeframe that the change takes place over? ie. does the 1gb change happen in 1 hr, 1 day, or 1 week? and 2) Since this remote mirroring will be async, how much delta between the databases are you willing to allow? ie. can the remote be 1 min out of sync, 10 min out of sync, or more? Since most db work is bursty, if we are given longer periods to sync the data, we can use a lower bw link.
These two questions need to be thought about and answered before a good answer can be given. You need to balance the cost of lost data vs. the cost of higher throughput circuits.
