Total CPU Percentage Utilization on MM

I have a process that runs every weekend that uses high CPU thus triggers "Total CPU Utilization Percentage is too high". Therefore I just want to put the CPU object in MM.
How do I do that?
I have look at get-monitoringclass & get-monitoringobject but couldn't figure out how to get processor object.
Please help.

I suggest you override the Monitor to change a higher value for CPU usage.

    Does it implies that there are 2 virtual CPUs configured for guest(domain1), which at this moment 98.7% utilized. Doesn't it shows there is capacity problem?
    In virtualization, are virtual CPUs dedicated to guests, or CPU cycles are available on demand. If this is the case, then one guest high utilization can slow down other guests as well.

    You can have detail stats in ASH tables ( It is not Mumabi Ash :-), it is oracle ASH Active Session History). Query dba_hist_sqlstat for details.

  • Total of percentages must equal 100

    Hello,
    SRM 7/Ext classic scenario
    When user changes one of the line items in a 10 item PO, he gets the error "Total of percentages must equal 100". System automatically creates a duplicate entry for cost distribution of 100% for one of the line items.
    Will applying note 1464163 resolve this issue? Please tell me if other notes in this note need to be implemented?

    There are a couple of interesting things in the debug output you included, firstly there are some unsupported rates by the clients, in other words do you have some 802.11b clients trying to connect? Because I think you may have unsupported the 'b' rates on the controller. So either - ensure you have no 'b' clients or start supporting 'b' rates again (1, 2, 5.5, 11)
    Secondly there some rogue AP containment going on, this can cause either your AP to have a high CPU, f there are multiple rogue APs being contained, or it may be that your own clients are being de-authenticated by another wireless network in the area - in other words, your network is under attack.

  • Alert for VM CPU percentage remain "Not activated"

    We created an alert rule for the CPU percentage of a VM with a low threshold (10%) for testing. The threshold was exceeded for several minutes - longer than the alert evaluation window. The rule was enabled, of course.
    However, there was neither an e-mail alert nor an entry in the management dashboard. The website alert we created works properly.
    Are such problems known?

    Hello, I need to summarise total cpu time consumbed by all active Oracle sessions and below is the query thta I could come up with.
    However the problem: even if I execute query in a miliseconds duration, the value of total cpu time is always changing for a given session. Hence, is the query below right?
    SELECT SUM( c.value)
    FROM V$SESSION a,
    v$sesstat c,
    v$statname d
    WHERE a.sid = c.sid
    and c.statistic# = d.statistic#

    Your findings are correct - the statistics is changing all the time. I don't see what is the problem here, you just have to add the time stamp and then you can measure the difference between them.
    If you are on 10g or 11g version then I would suggest you to look at V$SESS_TIME_MODEL which also gives interesting aggregated data for session level and for the database level the V$SYS_TIME_MODEL is probable the thing you are looking for.

There are many rows where CPU time > elapsed time, what is a well known problem of reporting for CPU timing. This was a single session so this result is unrealistic: how one can use 1.43s CPU time in only 1.28s time.

  • Confirmation - Total of percentages must equal 100

    Dear All,
    We are using SRM 7.0 EHP1 support package level 11. At the time of goods receipt , i have the error "Total of percentages must equal 100" , "Error in account assignment for item 1" .  But it is ok while creating SC, PO.
    I've searched the forums and oss notes and found some notes related this issue. But they are valid up to support package level 10, therefore not suitable for me..
    So anyone who has further advice ?  If not, i think it is better to open a message to SAP ?

    In our case, we used a custom Account assignment category in PO which was mapped to a "ERP Standard Account Assignment Category - V". (This mapping could be checked in SPRO, under Account Assignment in SRM susyem).
    However the same ERP category 'V' is also mapped to additional SRM custom Account Assignment Categories.
    When the system tries to create the confirmation for the PO, it tries to reverse map the ERP category 'V' and since there is no one-to-one mapping, the system does a dynamic
    mapping based on the account field values and determines the account
    assignment category 'CC' instead. Now, the 'CC' account category might not be authorized for the user (With which you are trying to post the confirmation) and therefore the system tries to add another accounting line which results in the invalid  error message 'Total of percentages...'.
    To rectify this behaviour, you can either:
    - implement the BADI BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_IMP and when you receive the
    ERP account category 'V', a customer specific business logic can be implemented to correctly identify 'Z_CC1' SRM account category. Similar mapping logic has to implemented for other categories as well.
    OR
    - you could add the account category 'CC' to the organization attribute 'KNT' for user 'hotline1' using transaction ppoma_bbp. The user can later on modify the account category manually in the account assignment tab.

  • Snow leopard agent provides a half of total CPU power?

    I am using a snow leopard server as a Xgrid controller.
    Here are several agents.
    Some of them are Leopard machines and the others are of Snow Leopard.
    Xgrid admin on the controller shows total power of each agent.
    I noticed that,
    agents with Snow Leopard seems to provide a half of its total CPU power.
    For example,
    In a case of the MacPro with Leopard which has 8 cores with 3GHz,
    Xgrid admin shows that "Total CPU Power = 24.00 GHz".
    However, the MacPro with Snow Leopard which also has 8 cores with 2.26GHz,
    Xgrid admin shows that "Total CPU Power = 9.04 GHz" which is a half of the total CPU power.
    Why??
    Is there any security like limitation on Snow Leopard that the Xgrid controller can occupy the agent's CPU up to a half of the total CPU Power?

    Create a PO without tick GR-Bsd IV, suppose I have created PO with qty 20 and rate 1 INR and give freight 50 INR (Fixed Amount)..
    Then I have done partial GR for qty 5. My freight amount booked as 12.5 INR (for partial GR)
    Then I have gone for MIRO..
    Here select Goos/Service item + Planned delivery cost.
    Enter the PO, you can see two line items appear..
    One for goods and one for freight...
    Goods will come as qty 5 and amount 5 INR and Freight will come as qty 5 and amount 12.5 INR.
    Just change the freight qty and amount as 20 and 50 INR.
    Then post the MIRO, you can see your total freight will be booked to vendor..
    Now again do GR for qty 2, at that time your freight amount will booked as 5 INR.
    Then when you will go for MIRO, you can see only the GR item, Freight qty and amount will not come at the time MIRO..
    (Note : I have told the scenario as per my previous screen shot)

    We had a server that had high CPU utilization.  We were able to figure out what process was causing the high CPU using some remote commands, but I am used to seeing this in the health explorer state change events view.
    I looked into health explorer but there is no data.

    The first monitor shown is disabled by default, but it is this monitor that contains the diagnostic to list the top CPU consuming processes

    While I have the ability to create my own diagnostic task, I would rather not, as it requires me to enter my own command or script.
    I liked the fact that the CPU monitor would list the top consuming processes, as this was useful troubleshooting information.
    Does anyone know why this diagnostic is not included in the new version of this monitor?  I cannot find any information in the release notes.
    Is there any reason I should think twice about disabling the default monitor, and setting an override to enable to “legacy” monitor that has the diagnostic task built in?

    I can confirm that the other OS versions have the single CPU monitor with diagnostics set to run by default. For Windows Server 2008 R2 I have created a sample management pack which enables this functionality which is available at:

    I had gone through all the articles and agree with posts submitted, but do we have any KPI stating - ProcessorQueueLength actually tied to the number of logical cpu's.
    As Jonathan stated in one of the forums
    ProcessorQueueLength actually needs to exceed Processor Queue Length Threshold * Number Of Processors. Where do we find this and how to validate.
    We had an issue of CPU been high almost 99% for hours, but never alerted. Any kind of pointers will be helpful, especially supporting statement like Processor Queue Length Threshold is tied up with number of logical CPU's.

    I'm using ssh to connect to my ESXi server console. Using esxtop, I get the following result:
    You can see below the CORE UTIL line, the CCPU line is not present here.
    Is it missing? If not, how can I see percentages of CPU time (the "us", "sy", etc.)?
    The ESXi version is VMware ESXi 5.5.0 build-2068190.

    Does this indicate any issue with system resourcesNO. Not at all.
    However a poor schema design or inefficient SQL execution can mean that a query that should do 100 'consistent gets' is doing 10,000 'consistent gets' -- in the buffer cache, consuming CPU and not waiting for I/O. This is a scenario where you have idle CPU but CPU usage is inefficient. (Thus, for example, adding more CPUs will not help your users at all).
    So you should look at the queries and see if queries can be improved.
    If, on the other hand, users are not complaining of performance and all response times are within expectations, than you have no issue at all.
