wht is "Total goods movement status" is SD module .
can u explain me with an example and how can i use it in creating open return orders.

Can we do PGI from VL03N? I dont think it is possible. I can see that the PGI option is always in disabled mode in VL03N.
You can only do PGI from VL02N
Can you check whether a material document was created by clicking on the document flow from VL03N ? What happens when you do the PGI for the same delivery again in VL02N?

If your MM is integrated with WM (SU mgt or HUM) you have to post the GR with Inbound delivery.

Total goods movement status using structure 'LEDLVSTATDISPHEAD'

Hi,
I'm trying to get the 'Goods movement status' for a Delivery once PGI posting is done. However the tables VBUK & VBUP maintain this status at Sales order line item level. This doesn't give the correct picture in cases where there are more than 1 Delivery for a Sales order line item.
At Delivery level the 'Goods movement status' leads to a structure 'LEDLVSTATDISPHEAD'
Please advice how to get a field value (for goods movement status) using this structure ...

Form display based on Goods movement status

Delivery note should be printed only when VBUK-WBSTK (Total Goods movement status) is equal to C (Completely processed). Can this be done in a Smartform? If so how?

Goods Movement status of delivery not updated from C to A

Hi
I am facing a peculiar problem.
We reversed goods issue using VL09 however the goods movement status of the delivery has not been updated. The GM status is still showing C- Completely processed.
If we are trying to repeat the process again thinking that reversal has not been done using VL09 for that particular delivery error message is displaying already the goods reversed.
Here we are missing the link. Though the goods reversed status has not been reflecting in the delivery.

1) First check in MB51 with movement type 602 whether you could see the delivery reference
2) Next go to VOV7, select your item category and see what is maintained for the field "Completion Rule". It should have been "B".
3) Next go to VTLA, select the item category for the combination of your order type and delivery type and see whether you have maintained "+" for the field "Pos./neg. quantity"

Inbound delivery goods movement status.

Hi,
Goods receipt is posted against an inbound delivery. Goods movement status shows as completed (Status C) in VL33N transaction. However when I look at delivery status in the table VBUP it shows the goods movement status as A.
Does any one of you faced this issue. If faced what would be the root cause..?
Is there any OSS notes available to correct this issue..?

Hi Fernando,
Which transaction are you using for the posting?
Please, consider that Inventory Management Transactions (MBxx, MIGO, etc) do not update the Inbound delivery status and document flow.
If you use a Shipping Transaction like VL32N for the receipt, then this should update the delivery.
You can see the SAP Note 199703 about this.
As of Release ERP 6.0, MM transactions can update the inbound delivery if this has been activated in the customizing.
See the Note 1050944 in this regard:
"As of ERP 6.0, you can use inventory management transactions (MB0A, MIGO, MBST) to carry out the goods receipt for inbound deliveries in the standard SAP system in such a way that the inbound delivery that is relevant for goods movement is updated.(...)".
If you are in this release or higher you might want to see this note.

Hi,
the thing is the following (maybe it doesn't work at all, i don't know) :
a) i have a "Non-stock" material (e.g.material type NLAG)
b)this material should be picked, so it should be relevant for the delivery (e.g.item category TAX)
c) for a special reason the "Total goods movement status" in the outbound delivery header shouldn't be "Not relevant", therefore i assigned the item category TAX to a shedule line category that has a movement type (e.g. CN)
d)but the bad thing is, that the customer has set the indicators "quantity updating" and "value updating" for the material type NLAG, and so the goods issue posting gets some errors. eg.g missing storage location etc.)
During debugging i found a coding that checks the sign NOWAB of lips, the documentation says:
"You can use this indicator to control whether the item is relevant for goods movement when the delivery is still being created.
When this indicator is set, goods movement is not posted for this item - regardless of the movement type assigned to it."
So i head the idea it might be possible to set this indication (Lips-nowab) somewhere in the sales order or somewhere else but maybe this conflicts with point c) above .
Maybe shomeone knows what to do or has a better idea.

Goods Movement and Billing status at header level

Hello,
Im new to this topic and have some very basic questions
Will WBSTK field be updated with goods movement status for a given sales order number in VBUK table ?
Similarly, will FKSTK/FKSTK or BUCHK will be updated with billing status ?
I know that for a given delivery document number, I can track the status at the item level.
But my aim is to know the overall goods movement and billing status at the order header level.
Any clues will be of great help.

A sales order does not determine a billing status for delivery related billing, field VBUK-FKSTK is only determined for delivey.
Just because of this, you will not find billing status field in VA03 -> goto header;
you could only find billing status field for delivery in VL03N -> status overview.

Goods movement / PGI status A inspite of goods movenent having completed

In an o/b delivery for all items goods movement status is u201CAu201D(Not yet started) and the u201CPost goods issueu201D button is active.
However, in the document flow, goods issue is completed.
The document also looks fine with the accounting entries
It was not possible to reverse the PGI using VL09, there was no message what so ever.
Why is there a discrepancy and how to solve this.

PGI with WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE- Goods Movement doc status set to 'Archived'

I have a report in which I am trying to do PGI for an outbound delivery. The PGI is successful but the Goods movement document created by PGI is being archived immediately. It should not be archived. Is there any parameter that I need to change or use a different FM for PGI?

The sequence of flow will be as follow:-

Goods movements while system status TECO

I have an issue here.
In standrd system we can make GI & GR when the orders system status is TECO.
I want system should not accept any goods movements ( GI & GR) when the order system status is TECO.
I tried in BS22 to make goods movements forbidden.
I could make it successfully.
what could be other consequences of this action.
whether any body has experience of such situation.

I have tried with BS22 in my previous project. i had issues for Goods Movement after Teco.
Finally i got written code on User Exit, and i given the solution.
I prefer using userexit for this functionality

Restricting Goods Movement after TECO in PP

Hi All,
I want to restrict logistical movements after TECO status in Production Order. After searching all the threads in this forum, the best answer so far is to maintain the system status characteristics via t-code BS22.
My question is, does changing TECO behavior via BS22 impact any other modules such as CS or SD? BS22 seems to be the t-code to control all system statuses in SAP.
Please help to shine some light on this matter.

yes it will definetly impact other module, then best way is create an user status of the order as TECO which will forbid the goods movement once this status has been activated.

Validation before Goods Movement

We want to put validation for GR (movement 101) to production order. System should not allow user to do GR to production order if system status is not CNF (confirm). Please suggest the options with required details.

Hi,
One way is to create a user status in BS02 and forbid the Goods Movement to production order when the status in Not confirmed. Attach the status profile to the Order type.
Once the order is released, the production user can select this status, after confirmed the production user can select another status.
If the status is not confirmed, warehouse person cannot enter Goods receipt to the order.
Optionally you can also look into the following BADI
Enhancement - MBCF0002
Functional Module - EXIT_SAPMM07M_001
Include - ZXMBCU02
Implement the BADI -BADI - WORKORDER_GOODSMVT
in that MANUAL_GOODS_RECEIPT,
Seek the help of your ABAP consultant and try to code to check the system status before creating the goods receipt document
