Total in ALV Tree
Hi
I have an ALV Tree and would like to have a Total at the bottom. At the moment it sub totals each node but I would like there to be a complete total of all nodes at the bottom. Is there a way that I can do this?
Yes that is what I have in my field catalog. If I remove the X it stops calculating the total of each node. The problem is that I don't have a row at the bottom of the tree to hold the totals. I don't know if this is possible with an ALV Tree.

Need your help.
I have designed a report to be displayed in ALV tree. The report contains one column (Amount) which can be totaled using the SUM function of the ALV. The report is a 3 level hierarchy - Proj number, Plant and Proj type. When I select the Amount column and click on SUM button, I get the total value of Amount for that particular proj number.
Now, what I want is, a functionality to get the sub total of Amount on the basis of Proj type. Please advice me to get the desired functionality done.

ALV Tree - how to change values of Total
Hi all,
I am using ALV tree (cl_gui_alv_tree). After calling the method update_calculations, alv tree will calculate the total at every node.
Now, I want to blank out the Total value of the root node. I tried to use method change_linde and then frontend_update, but it didn't work.
Here is the flow I used.
- call method update_calculations.
- call method get_outtab_line.
- call method change_node.
- call method frontend_update.
Could you please look at it? I don't know If I missed something.

I am also having a similar requirement like this but I need to recalculate the values at node level(Ex:percentages).

Here is my problem, In the example above I already set no_sign = X to the field catalog to the method set_table_for_first_display after display the alv tree, I set no_sign= ' X' because the client does not want any sign in the detail, but in the total yes the sign, So what i want is set sign property just for total, but no sign for all items. Or maybe another option.
My class is cl_gui_alv_tree.

Thank you very much, but I think that's not an option because if I change the values (multiplying by -1) the total is going to be wrong, remeber that total operation is "standard" so it sums the values as they appear, so the total will be wrong.

I know there is the option, that I program my own total but, I think is not the best option beause is a dynamic alv tree.

Hello Friends,
I am using ALV Tree to display a report.
In this report for a particular input.2 nodes are cerated.
On clicking on the 2nd node the details for the same are shown .
However on clicking the 1st node , the system automatically logs off closing all the SAP sessions and even the SAP Logon pad.
Suppose i am on executing the program on development server,even the sessions of test server are closed.
Can anyone please help me in this.....

How to set selected row on startup of an alv tree build with cl_salv_tree

I have a cl_salv_tree and want the tree structure to open a specific node when starting the report. My coding is something like that:

Edited by: dinodini on Nov 16, 2010 6:51 PMWhat you are looking for is the similar functionality which could be achieved by the method EXPAND_NODE of the ALV Tree created using CL_GUI_ALV_TREE. In SALV Tree, you can use the method EXPAND of the class CL_SALV_NODE to show all the subnodes of that node, not by using the SELECTION.
Once you add the Node using the method ADD_NODE, you should call the method EXPAND to expand that subtree.
lr_nodes = lr_tree->get_nodes( ).
lr_node = lr_nodes->ADD_NODE( ... )
lr_node->EXPAND( COMPLETE_SUBTREE = 'X' ).

I am able to display output in tree format. But I want to add the double click functionality to some of the fields in output. Means if I double click on some value in output tree, it should call some transaction. Please help me with this issue of double clicking.

Average sum for a column in ALV tree layout
Hi,
I've trying to set an average sum for a column in an ALV tree report. In the field catalog i set the DO_SUM field to 'X' and this will do a total sum, but I can't find out how in the code to do the average sum.
Also to get round this I was going to just set a default display variant with the "average" sum option saved after i had manually selected the columns and set it to this. Problem with this is that when i re-run it, the sum comes back as a total rather than an average. I have tried setting display variants on the SAP example ALV tree programs and the same thing happens.
Does anyone know how i can get round this?

In addition to setting DO_SUM = 'X' you need to specify function in H_FTYPE field. It should be set to 'AVG' in your case.

Hi,
I am developing an ALV TREE. I need help Its really urgent. In the output screen there will be 2 level nodes. in the item line 1 field should be input enabled using which the database table is to be modified.when user left clicks on this field a drop down list will appear from which he selects his choice.
I looked into BCALV_TREE_SIMPLE_DEMO reports available in SAP.
I would also like to know what is register_events, what is an handler.

I do not think you can have editable fields other than checkboxes in ALV trees. In sample report ZUS_SDN_ALV_TREE_DEMO_1 I have set the fieldcatalog property LS_FCAT-EDIT = 'X' for all fields yet only LOEVM is editable because it is defined as checkbox, too.
However, you may use the LINK_CLICK of the ALV tree (set LS_FCAT-HOTSPOT = 'X' in fieldcatalog) to trigger e.g. a seach help for input.

Displaying ALV tree in expanded form in first ouput
Hi all,
I have a problem with alv tree. My requirement is, on the first output itself the alv tree should appear expanded depending on one of the filter criteria in the tool bar. How can i trigger the toolbar event in PBO itself? Can it be done? if yes please provide sample code. Points assured for helpfull answers.

I've done a report with an ALV TREE (CL_GUI_ALV_TREE) and I want to get on the first node the totals of its children.
I have used the method UPDATE_CALCULATIONS and FRONT_END_UPDATE, everything it's ok when displaying the values, but when
I try to get top node's calculated values by using the GET_OUTTAB_LINE method I get old values instead of updated ones.
How can I get calculated values?

Class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE has two methods for refreshing the display:
- FRONTEND_UPDATE (Sends Changed/Inserted Nodes to Control)
- UPDATE_CALCULATIONS (Recalculate Columns)
The second methods implicitly calls method FRONTEND_UPDATE except if you suppress it using parameter NO_FRONTEND_UPDATE = 'X'.
