Total loss of trust in skype
For four days I have been locked out of my premium skype account. Leaving me unable to answer my skype in numbers or respond to my bussiness partners. I lost a $600,000 deal and who knows how many other opportunities and all because no one at skype could be bothered to return my email support requests. The entire time my skype in numbers have been giving engaged tones. It is the most disgusting example of poor support and customer service I have ever experienced bar none and makes AT&T look like angels. Skype has been deeply unprofessional and deeply uncool and I have been letting my 46,000 twitter followers know. (( Four days ago every one of my skype enabled devices kicked me out and when I tried to log back in Skype said may password was incorrect. I have an near photographic memory for text and I know my passwords by heart and change them infrequently because they are very long and complex. Still after a few tries I gave up and hit the forgot password link and entered my email address and got sent e reset password email. Then my trouble really began. The link in the email took me to a page where I could enter a new password twice. No matter what password I tried on this page it accepted them and then gave the error message "please contact customer support" I have to say the difficulty in contacting support via email is just crazy and I went through it many times in the last four days. I received no email responses to my support requests no matter how often I tried for four days. No matter how often I tried I could not reset my password and no matter how often I sent support requests I got no responses. With my password corrupted I could not login to this forum to post a question and even though I am a premium customer with multiple skype in numbers and voicemail I could not login to access live chat support. I have paid Skype a lot of money. I know the original founder and investors in the company. I have totally lost trust in the product. The second that I find a product that I can rely on to do the same job as Skype, which must be soon, I will switch over unless Skype provide a rapid support channel for paying customers, premium customers and customers with Skype in numbers. to say I have been upset and angry is a total understatement and as I was ignored longer and longer I have to say my messages got pretty heated. However this got considerably worse when in short succession I received one email from Skype Support which in what can only be described as bizarre circumstances was written to me in Arabic!!! I do not speak or read Arabic and Google translate could to make useful sense of it. Then I got another email from support.... A customer satisfaction survey... Never has a document been more aptly named as its was indeed satisfying, to a small degree, to answer negatively to every question on the satisfaction survey. After four days I just tried again to reset my password and thankfully it worked so here I am posting the whole sorry tale. Why am I bothering? Two reasons. First to warn others not to rely on Skype for critical business unless you have multiple accounts you can use and that you have shared with your network in advance and secondly in the hope that Skype will get a clue and offer a priority support path for paying customers to get help when they cannot access their accounts at all. This is only reasonable for paying customers. In the paranoid rush to make Skype more secure genuine customers are getting locked out and loosing connectivity for four whole days is just unacceptable for any business person.
ETA: The problem occurred with the most up-to-date version of GarageBand, so I'm sure it's not an update issue.

I've read and posted in various threads and looked all over the net. I admit I'm at a total loss as what I'm doing wrong at this point.
I want to take the video from my Iphone and move it to my PC so I can upload it in HD to youtube.
I've made sure to make sure my phone doesn't sync right away, gone to the my computer and click on my phone (shows a camera), then copy and paste or drag. When it moves it over it say 0 bytes.
I'll even post a link a buddy of mine sent and if you look at step 9 it says the videos should be quick time files. Mine says nothing where it says file types.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Like I said I'm at a total loss.I'm not sure if this will help you, but I ran across the same issue. When I tried to pull the videos off the phone in windows, it would hang during the transfer, or not transfer at all. My photos and videos are kept on an external drive and I was trying to copy to that external drive. I copy and pasted the videos into the pictures folder on my PC (instead of the external drive) and it worked like a charm. Once that was done, I just had to drag and drop into the external drive.

NEW MAILDATABASE DUE TO TOTAL LOSS
PLEASE HELP SPENT HOURS LOOKING FOR DEFINATIVE AWNSER TO NO AVAIL!!!
We have a situation where we have corrupt maildatabase and public both very large over 250Gb combined. We had total loss and no usable backups due to disk outage. managed by just luck to gain back and semi repair public DB and most of Mail DB.
However when we try to use them users experience whole load of problems. Backed up both public and all mailboxes to PST files for short term access. BUT NOW NEED TO REMOVE DATABASES AND CREATE THEM AGAIN - WHATS THE BEST WAY?? PLEASE??
We can import all data back once created just need clean DBs & instructions on how users will go back to give clear mailboxes ready for the import??

By the way we have SBS 2011 exch 2010SBS will allow you to create up to 5 mailbox databases I think, possibly 4 + 1 public.
If you have backups you could remove (I think the term is disable, in EMC) the mailboxes for users. Create them new mailboxes in a new DB.
You might try that for one user before you do them all just to be sure this fixes the issues you see.

You have the choice of waiting till the servers aren't as loaded or till they come up with a solution to fix the errors going on. As of now its difficult to determine whether the overloaded servers are the blame or whether the update is faulty and how much of your personal data you will lose. I only lost my apps which were all on my itunes so it wasn't much of a big deal.. You can always back up your data and then proceed to update if you feel thats a safer route but I read that some people had issues backing up their data before the upgrade as well.

Have an iMac. Problem is I hear the fan noise, yet no power on the screen yielding no power. I have checked the power cord and it seems to be fine. Not sure if computer is a total loss. What would be the next step?

At a total loss on how to fix PSCS6 after CSCC Install
I am assuming that the CC version of Photoshop had something to do with this as it started just after the install and they are both doing this.
The very next image I edited after the install was gif_01.gif. I saved it to: project/005885/site/image/gif_01.gif.
Soon I started working on another graphic and went to save it, say.... desktop\graphic.jpg
The warning box pops up, Warning, saving this image will overwrite the image gif_01.gif do you want to continue.
Now, everytime I save a jpeg it has this message. No other images do it, except of course gif_01.gif if in that folder.
Not a huge deal except for it is having a bit of a water board effect and is starting to feel like someone died every time it pops.
Shift+Ctrl+Alt+DBLClick = Reseting up my whole work environment and still having the gif issue. Oh ya, another issue with it is every time I save a jpeg to any file it also save that gif image to the file. It is an 1800x2400 pixel image so it will really suck to have a few thousand extra on the drives.
Any clues would be great. I hate to uninstall and reinstall as I am software heavy on this machine and it is used for many tasks. Sometime reinstalling a single program turns into setting the machine back up and it is a 3 day process.

Also, I have cleared as many of the temp files and etc. I use 2 256gb SSD eSata II disks for scratch and temp files for CS6 with a 300GB HDD for video
Every program system wide and all drivers are 100% up to date with the latest versions.
Also, I just realized it only does it when Save for the WEB is chosen and not when Save As and then JPEG is picked.I would hazard a guess you copied your plugins from cs6 to the cc installation which is not recommended!
Don't think the advice to reformat and reinstall is the best way and don't know why it was suggested! -
Random total loss of both cellular and/or WiFi communications. 3GS 32GB
My phone has recently started to randomly loss all cellular signal. This is very frequent and renders the phone as a very expensive ipod. It will also not hold on to a WiFi signal, but is happy to rejoin the network manually.
All signal bars go to zero, ATT logo disappers, 3G or E disappear. Usually need to do hard reset.
ATT sent me to Apple Store (1 hour's drive), Failed for apple tech even though they have a cell tower in the store wall. He had no answer but try new sim card. Went back to ATT, $27 later tried new SIM card. no luck.
The OS/firmware is most current. Tried factory restore. Not eligible for new phone. My first phone was replaced under warranty. This is apparently out of warranty even though it lasted less than a year. So two phones down in under 2 years. Unheard of with any other phone I've owned.
Absolutely no abuse, damage, or water. Use an Otterbox, but fails in or out of the case.
Are there any known issues that can cause this? Software conflict?I have the same problem. I'm with vodafone and I am aware that vodafone is doin updates to there reception and services. Sometimes I also have full 3G reception but when someone rings me it says on their end it's out of service and I don't receive txts for hrs later. My internet does not want to work most of the time so I have to use my wireless.
I have the most current update for my iPhone so I don't know what the go is. -

I recently lost my computer and my external HD in a massive power surge. I was able to restore SOME of my songs, that I had on my iPod (thankfully it was not charging that night!).
Is there any way at all to get a restoral of lost music from iTunes? I have 4 years of purchases that would be very upsetting to lose. So i'm working on this applet for work and im lost. in the end, this will be a cash register type app thats integrated with our web database. as of right now, the code to download an html page works fine when run by itself, independent of the main class. but when the download PageDownload class is called from the sales class (the main class), i get this error:

Re-think the design a bit, the pattern looks bad.
If your intention for the PageDownload class was to create a singleton then search the tutorials for the proper way to construct singletons, also decide wether or not you need this class to be a singleton.
Also output some of the error information to help diagnose what exactly is wrong with the URL, ie, try to output the URL, maybe it's blank -

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

At a total loss on a file sharing issue
I have been using file sharing for years and have never had a problem. Tonight that streak has come to an end and I feel stupid!
I have built myself a PC for work. However, I want to be able to share files with my Mac on it. Here is my setup... On my Mac, I have a hard drive that I have made into 2 partitions. One partition is a FAT32 format, specifically so that I can share files with my PC. I have gone into file sharing and set it up so that drive will be shared with my PC. From my Mac, I can connect to the PC and the My Documents folder on it.
However, when I get on the PC I can not see my Mac unless I connect using the ftp://ip address format. Even then I do not see the drive I am trying to share. I see my Documents folder on my Mac, which is not what I want to share.
I have done searches on here as well as Google throughout the day and can not find anything that addresses this specific issue. Can anyone give me some things to look for? I am fried!

I am trying to get an airport express to work, it is replacing a netgear router. Tried following the directions that came with it plus suggestions sent to me but so far I am not able to get things going. To which I would add: disconnect your modem from power and let it rest a moment while you configure your Express. Make it a habit to do this whenever you change the device connected to a cable or DSL modem. Most modems will refuse to communicate with anything new, until its memory has been reset with a power cycle.
If you still have difficulty please explain where you are getting stuck. If you reply in that thread, not this one, it would help others with your problem. Don't begin a new question unless the recommendations you receive are getting nowhere or your question doesn't get any replies after a day or so. Philly_Phan's instructions are correct so follow them.
Otherwise, you are likely to repeatedly receive the same advice and will fail to achieve any progress. -

I am dumbfounded on this. I used to have a tool bar with iTunes, but for some reason it is gone. What I have tried to do so far is to "Uninstall" iTunes and then "Download" the program. However, there is no tool bar. I believe my usage is for iTunes Store, but I want the tool bar to manage my songs. Thanks in advance,
