Total Newb Deep in the Water.. please help ah friend Out!!

greetings everyone,
i am jumping ship from a windows 2003 server and going to apple. This is the configuration i am going to have to set up... Fiber Switch connecting an xserve,metadata controller,and another x server for a backup metadata controller and also running file maker pro.
I will have two xserve raids being controlled by xsan software.
My questions are these. I want all of my 30 macs to get all there user privileges from my xserve not our windows servers.
This being said how do i set up my xserve within a network that already has a domain controller? I am a new when it comes to going this deep into the technical weeds and need some help.

Battery X, trouble powering up...I'm deep in the jungle, please help!

On Jan 14th I bought a new MacBook Pro 13" Retina from MicroCenter. I am traveling deep in the jungle in a remote part of Costa Rica and I started noticing that it wasn't holding a charge (at first I assumed it had just ran out and I didn't plug in the power cable properly). Yesterday I had to plug it in to power it up and I notice the battery has an "X" on it and says "No Batteries Available". I did a quick search online and decided to try a SMC reset so I shutdown the laptop, held Shift+Control+Option+Power, and tried to power it up but the computer would not turn on or do anything at all.
Next morning, comptuer was hot and fans were running high speed (it was not plugged into power overnight so it must have been accessing power somehow). Sometimes it powered up when clicking power button, sometimes nothing, sometimes the fans would start up. When it did power up, it wouldn't get past the grey screen before shutting down again. Then sometimes without even touching anything it would turn on again.
Been trying different keyboard startups but they don't seem to be working properly. Tried resetting PRAM with Command+Option+P+R but got nothing... holding down Option does nothing.... The only thing that turns the computer on is Command+R, but it only works if I release the buttons quickly...if I hold them down (trying to get it into Recovery mode) nothing happens. If I do manage to get it on, a few mins later it the window will pop up that say "are you sure you want to shut down?" but even if I click Cancle it shuts down, or just shuts down randomly.
Tried running Disk Utility and it can't complete Verifying Disk, it just instructs me to get into Recovery mode to repair disk which I haven't had any luck doing.
I have insurance through MicroCenter (same coverage as AppleCare + accidental) but I tried calling them and the Tech Support guy was useless... I have a lot of work I need to do here and would be happy enough if I could at least get it to work off of the power cable without the battery (even though that is tricky b/c we are running off of a generator so I would be limited to the hours that the generator is on) but I can't get anything done or do a proper Time Machine backup with it powering off randomly. There's no chance of getting to a Genius Bar or anything out here so you are my only hope! Please help me!!

Thanks for your reply;but the battery is not up to 5-6 years old.The battery is original hp battery that I bought in the year 2010 and it was working perfectly before this incident,the battery was in the laptop before the water touched it.The laptop did not stay in the water for up to 12hours and I dried it properly before using it again;the laptop works perfectly at present whenever it is powered on but the battery remains on 0% for more than 5 hours even when it tells you “plugged in and charging“,sometimes it says“plugged in,not charging“.What should I do? First we need to know which one of the 9 different models of MacBook you have. To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info (and then System Report if you’re running 10.7 Lion). When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports. Each would take a different adapter to connect with the TV.

You did not ruin the phone, you will need a sim card to activate the phone and then connect the phone to itunes and do a restore from back up.

It sounds like there may be some confusion on your system about what application should be associated with PDF files. You can reset filename associations by following the steps in these articles (depending on your operating system):

I would get an external drive today and copy all your stuff off the TC.. forget trying to load more onto it. There is a good chance after 3years (A 2TB should be only about 2years tops), the disk or the TC itself is on the way out. Do it immediately. If TM is also failing to backup you need to recognise symtoms of impending doom.
Unfortunately the error messages are archane and it is hard to discover their meaning.
You also cannot verify a network drive.. you can verify the TM sparsebundle though so do that.

Reboot the whole network from off.. certainly if you run later OS it can simply lose the drive..
If you still fail to be able to copy to the TC.. then get that external and copy off it. Tell us if you can do that.

Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

And then tell the story of your problem that you originally included and your follow-up efforts to restore given a suggestion on previous post (though I think you SHOULD AVOID RSTORE if you can.) The problem would seem to be in the firewall in your router. Have you tried disabling it? I assume you've updated the router firmware, right? Consider bypassing the ISP provided router (using it as a modem only) and unsing another device such as an Aiport Express.

I Sugges you to log into your hotmail acc and go to security and password change bit, then you will see two-step verification.. turn that off and you will be able to set it up on your iPhone/iPad or even Mac.

I'm going to assume that since you deleted your hard drive and all its files, you had a backup, yes? If the backup has an OS (bootable clone), then you can boot into it by holding down the option key when you start up you iMac and choose the backup drive. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper to copy the files back to your iMac.
