Total Relenishment Lead Time vs. Routings Lead Time  ( very urgent)

Hello PP Champs
Need urgent help
I am facing a scenario in current project -
My Customer service quotes for delivery to an customer with in 3 days for a stock item by seeing the availability check with Total Replenishment Lead time in MAterial Master , but when production order is created SAP schedules the same on routing Lead time basis with a date after 7 days. this seems technically correct as per Std.SAP settings
1=but How to avoid this business conflict in SAP PP module?
2=another thing we are nt using the capacity planning with this client ,but incase we get 2-3 orders with same start date and same requirement date for a single work center " how to priortise the selection of production orders" w/o capacity planning
pl consider first query as most urgent and help me
Could somebody put a thought on this and help me out.. I'll reward full points any helping hand for the same
Thx in advance
BR
Sumit

Hi,
you can define via define  the checking scope opjj whether to include the RLT
in availability check or not.
Note:
Items for which the delivery date falls within the replenishment lead time, but for which there is no inventory, are confirmed for delivery after the replenishment lead time. In the case of items for which the delivery date falls after the end of the replenishment lead time, the system assumes that everything can be confirmed.
In the standard version, leave this field blank if you want the system to check the replenishment lead time.
Dependencies
If you want the system to check the replenishment lead time, you should make sure that you have entered a value in at least one of the following three fields in the material master:
GR (goods receipt) processing time (Purchasing view)
Planned delivery time (MRP I view)
GR processing time (MRP II view)
Otherwise, the system confirms every requirement

  • Ace tcp idle timer VERY URGENT!

    Hi,

    interface vlan 100
    service-policy input Tandem
Unfurtunetly this is not affect. after clear conn there will be connections which have more than 60 sec idle timeout.
    Very thanks

    Hi Karoly,
Please take into account that, as long as one of the sides of the connection (client-to-ace or ace-to-server) is still open, the other one will remain open as well even if the inactivity timeout is higher than what it's configured. This could happen if, for example, one of the sides is using TCP keepalives but the other one is not.
This is just something to check to see if you really have an issue or not. If you need further troubleshooting, I would recommend you to open a TAC case.

  • Total replenish lead time

    Hi gurus,
anyone can explain why this field (total replenish lead time) is designed to enter manually instead of system automatically calculate from BOM for a manufactured part? and how does it work according to the following scenario:
product X is produced in plant=1000 from material A and B (both A and B are procured externally for plant 1000, to simplify the case)
in plant 1000, PO processing time=1day
A: planned del.time=3 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
B: planned del.time=5 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
to make X need 2 operation: 1st operation need 1 day to assemble A and B together, after assembling, 2nd operation need 1 day to paint, 1 day to dry
what's the total replenish lead time we should enter for X?
    thanks,
    cookie

    Dear Cookie
3.if it's only for availability check, does that mean the MRP would not be affected by this field, then what would be the lead time feed into MRP? what's the relationship between MRP and availability check? why they use 2 different sets of data?
    1) MRP will not take this field into Account for Calculating Dates
    2) MRP for in-house materials - in-house production time & GR Procesing time ( Lead time )
3 ) For external Procured materials - PR processing time , Planned delevery time & GR Processing time
    4) MRP Net Req. Calculation Concept is different from Availbility check Concept

for order cost use function module /CWM/CKCOPROD_ORD_TARGET_COST
test the function module with your abaper if it returns the vadesired values, through table it will be vary complecated.
for order related activity times please check AFVV, AFVC and AFRU tables .

  • Roll wait time very high.

    Hi All,
We are facing a strange problem.
Our system is performing low just because of the share of high Roll Wait Time.
Can anyone tell why it is so high ? and how to reduce it's time.
Now it's taking more than 60% of Total Resp. Time.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Santosh Rajput

    Hi Santosh,
sometimes we have the same problem when inserting records with MM41. In ST03 Top Response Times the roll wait time takes nearly  minutes, the whole response time 5 minutes.
The SAP HELP defines roll wait time as follows:
Wait time in the roll area.
If synchronous RFCs are called, the work process performs a roll out and waits for the end of the RFC in the roll area. The RFC server programs can wait for other RFCs to be sent to them in the roll area.
I'm not quite sure whether this explanation meets your or my problem because the problem occurs just two or three times a day. So - what is the process waiting for?
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks and best regards,

  • SQL Loader Oracle 10g problem in upload date with time data -- Very urgent.

    Hi
I am trying to upload data using SQL loader. There are three columns in the table
defined as DATE. When I tried upload a data like this '2007-02-15 15:10:20', it is not loading time part. The date stored as 02/15/2008' only. There is not time on that. I tried with many different format nothing work. Can please help me ?
I have also tried with to_date --> to_timestamp it did not work.
The application is going to be in production, I cannot change DATE to TIME STAMP. This is very urgent.
    LASTWRITTEN "decode(:LASTWRITTEN,'null',Null, to_date(:LASTWRITTEN,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:Mi:SS'))",
    CREATEDON "decode(:CREATEDON,'null',Null, to_date(:CREATEDON,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:Mi:SS'))",
    LASTUPDATEDON(21) "decode(:LASTUPDATEDON,'null',Null, to_date(:LASTUPDATEDON(21),'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'))"

Your problem is most likely in decode - the return type in your expression will be character based on first search value ('null'), so it will be implicitly converted to character and then again implicitly converted to date by loading into date column. At some of this conversions you probably are loosing your time part. You can try instead use cast:
    SQL> desc t
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    LASTWRITTEN                                        DATE
    CREATEDON                                          DATE
    LASTUPDATEDON                                      DATE
    SQL> select * from t;
    no rows selected
    SQL> !cat t.ctl
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE *
    INTO TABLE T
    TRUNCATE
FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"' TRAILING NULLCOLS
    LASTWRITTEN
    "decode(:LASTWRITTEN,'null',cast(Null as date),
      to_date(:LASTWRITTEN,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'))",
    CREATEDON
    "decode(:CREATEDON,'null',cast(Null as date),
      to_date(:CREATEDON,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'))",
    LASTUPDATEDON
    "decode(:LASTUPDATEDON,'null',cast(Null as date),
      to_date(:LASTUPDATEDON,'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'))"

    Hi Manjula
!)0HRposition infobject and check what is the time previously for that record..
2)Edit the PSA for the 7415 or 7416  and change the vlaue to the previous record time which u found in the infoobject
    3) i think ur doing a full load.  so better edit the PSA and repload the data from PSA

  • My brand new iPad 2 screen just flickered form the game I was playing to black several times very quickly?

I just bought an iPad 2 it's only about 5days old and the screen j flickered to black and back to the game I was playing several times very quickly. I haven't got any apps or watched anything that should cause a virus and I am worried about it any ideas?

    Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

  • Load+gen time very high

    Hi all
    i m using SAP 4.7 on Oracle 9.2
    Server- IBM P series Processor 375Mhzx 2 RAM - 3 GB
I hav problem that in ST03n i have Load +Gen time very high (upto 500)
is it some H/w problem or some tuning prob.
    Thanks in Advance

SGEN will recompile ABAP loads that you want.
your system look old, so, this can take anything from 1 hour to 8 hours.
so, do this when user load is minimal.
I usually choose all options and do a complete generation. this takes a lot of space in your DB, but system will be faster even if you use rarely used transactions.

  • Availablity Check in Sales Order with Total Replenishment Lead Time

    Dear PP Consultants,
This is regarding the TRLT field functionality during availablity check of Sales Order.
I understand the TRLT field is defined manually in Material Master MRP-3 view as the sum of the longest lead time of raw material, in-house-production time and floats.
If during the availablity check of Sales Order, the raw material which is having the longest lead time is already available in stock, can the system calculate the TRLT dynamically and propose the delivery date in sales order only based on in-house production time??
Is there any setting that can be made so that during availability check of Sales Order, the system considers the stock of raw materials and then propose the confirmed dates?
Your early respose is much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance for your valauble suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Kishore

    Hi,
The RLT is not dynamic, and is not related to the stock situation of the components.
It's only purpose is to give an estimated availability date for the finished material (sold) when no better information is present (like a procurement element).
The only way I know to get an availability date taking into account the availability of components, is the assemble-to-order scenario. In this scenario (MTO!), a production order is created automatically during the creation of the sales order. The system can then use the production order features like scheduling and availability check of components to propose the availability date for the finished product.
Besides that, you can get much more complex solutions for ATP using APO's ATP engine.

    Mario

  • Total replenishment lead time calcuation

    Experts,
how does SAP determine the replenishment lead time for a part under the following circumstances,
    - purchase part (ProcType F)
    - two PIR for two vendors with diffrent delivery times per vendor.
    - Source list has no fixed vendor
    - quote arragement in place.
in MD04 I see the correct split acc. to quote arrangement, but currently I have the effect that the replenishment lead time for this part changes form delivery time of vendor A to delivery time of vendor B from time to time. Unfortunatly I can not see a pattern in behind.
Who can explain this behaviour ?
    Thanks in advance
    Jörg

    Hi,
    - purchase part (ProcType F)
Depending on the setup done in OPPQ (push button - external procurement), the lead times will be read from Info record first if not existing then from material master or directly from material master.
    - two PIR for two vendors with diffrent delivery times per vendor.
If the vendor is fixed, then the lead time from the fixed vendor is selected. If quota based, then from the vendor to whom the quota is allocated to.
    - Source list has no fixed vendor
    lead time from mtl master.
    - quote arragement in place.
Lead time as per info rec of vendor selected based on the quota arrangement.
Now all the above is theory... so take some examples in your sandbox & do some testing to see it n revert if you face any issues.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Fopen() mode lead to very different processing time...

    Hello everybody,
I am programing some command line routines in C. I just observed a weird behavior using the very classical fopen() function.
It's useless to explain in details what the soft is making. Simply, I start from some data, I perform some processing then save the results. In a second step I restart from the former results to perform an other processing step.
So, the first result file must be open or created in read/write mode. In fact, if the file does not exists, the file is created using the "w+" mode. If the file already exists, it is open in "r+" mode.
    Processing time are drastically different.
A first run, creating the file in "w+"mode requires 15 minutes.
If rerunning exactly the same routine, without any changes except the file is open in "r+" mode since it already exists leads to a processing time 3X longer...
But final results are well the same as expected.
I make the test on both 10.7 and 10.8.
If someone has some explanation, it is welcome.
    DD.
