Total time of just the checked songs

Is there any way to see the total time of just those songs I've checked in a playlist?

In the laylist click on the header for the ticked column. It will group the checked together.
Select all the checked Songs and if the staus bar is showing you will see the time for those songs st the bottom in the grey bar.
If you do not have the grey bar View > Show Status Bar

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer or set up via wifi? If so you can only use the manual method and that only works with music and videos.

  • Total time taken for the quiz needs to be displayed in the report

    Hi,
I would want tthe total time taken for the quiz to be displayed in the report...Let me know if its possible

    Hi,
    Please try this.
Define three user variables - StartTime, EndTime and Duration.
At the start of the quiz ('On Slide Enter' of the first Question Slide). have an advanced action with the following actions.
    Assign: StartTime with cpInfoElapsedTimeMS
    Continue
At the end of the quiz ('On Success' or 'On Failure' of the last Question Slide or 'On Slide Enter' of Result Slide), have this advanced action.
    Assign: EndTime with cpInfoElapsedTimeMS
Expression: Duration = EndTime - StartTime
    Expression: Duration = Duration / 1000
    Continue
The variable 'Duration' will have the time taken by the user for the Quiz in seconds.
Let me know if you have any queries.
    Thanks,

  • How can I just sync the checked songs from my iTunes to my iPod?

Okay, I cannot figure out how to sync my iPod (5th gen touch) with only the checked items.
I noticed on the summary page it says, "sync only checked songs and videos" well I have that box checked.
I have all my music checked that I want on my Ipod as well. So what am I doing wrong?

  • I need help deleting songs from my new iphone.  The songs don't show up in library, they're unchecked and I've synced only the checked songs, but they're still on my brand new phone.  I've swiped my finger to the left, and that doesn't work.

They have the icloud symbol beside them.  Does that make a difference?

    Hello Jensones,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with music on your iPhone 5s.  It sounds like you're seeing your iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
The items you see with the iCloud icon next to them are purchased songs that you can stream from iTunes in the Cloud and do not have a delete option because they are not actually on your device.  You can hide all these songs in Settings on the iPhone:
Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud: Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.
These steps are from the iPhone User Guide:
    iPhone User Guide
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph6e2dfb83
If there are just specific songs you would like to hide, you can hide them using the iTunes Store on your computer:
    To hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
    Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking on Music, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from top.
Hover your cursor over the item you want to hide.
You will see an "X" either to the right or left top corner of the item.
Click the "X" to hide that item. A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the "X."
Once you hide the songs on your computer, I recommend quitting and relaunching the Music app on your iPhone.  You can find more information about hiding purchases here:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,

  • Help. I have an iPod touch 3 which will no longer sync properly with my iTunes library.  The iPod will sync a small proportion of the music in my library but not all of the checked songs.  Also the capacity keeps going from half full to completely full.

I have an iPod touch which no longer syncs normally.  It will let me have a small proportion of my music library even though I have 2000 songs checked.  Says its syncing but doesn't add the rest of my music.  It lets me have my podcasts but only let's me have one movie,  I appear to have only used half the capacity but if I check even one movie the capacity suddenly shoots up to full.  I have tried restoring, resetting and have  checked all my settings. I'm hoping someone out there has some ideas.

Yes I've done a reset but it made no difference.

  • TS2776 How do I let it sync only the checked songs in my library?

Everything keeps duplicating , I restored the ipod and updated it . Now it won't let me choose to uncheck and sync ?

If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

  • How do I transfer my music from my laptop to my iPhone? I've already checked the sync only checked songs and videos box, the manually manage music and videos box. I only want to sync the songs I checked, but it transfers all the music.

I dont want to transfer all the music just the checked ones. My macbook transfers all the music from my library to my iphone. I dont get it. Please if you could help that would be terrific.

    Hi RaulRod,
Are you pressing the Sync button to transfer music after connecting your iPhone or do you have the option checked to 'Automatically Sync when the iPhone is connected?'
Have you tried manually dragging and dropping music from your library into your phone?

  • TS1424 I just wanted to download ONE song Joy to the World from Merry Axemas album; the whole album had to be purchased, then the only song I really wanted to buy didn't fully download; rip-off; please fix ASAP

I need a refund of $8 bucks the Merry Axemas album cost because I just wanted one song that wouldn't download OR
just the one song in it's ENTIRETY instead of just half of it.
The beauty here is I only wanted one song but iTunes would NOT allow download of just one song making the user - ME- attempt to download the whole album which of course was short the ONLY song I desired downloaded.
Would you please remedy this situation pronto?

Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The people who will reply to your posts are, like me, in almost all cases your fellow users.
If the track you wanted was only available when purchasing the entire album, as I see most on that album are, then that was how the content owner insisted it be done and there's nothing Apple can do about it. If you then chose to purchase the entire album, that was your choice. It's unlikely that Apple will now refund your money on that basis.
As to a defective track, delete the problem track(s) from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track file(s) to the Trash. Then download the track(s) again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
That fixes the problem for many people. If problems with the tracks persist, go here:
    iTunes Support
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
    Regards.

  • When burning abbreviated songs, does the whole song burn to disc?

I have changed the start times for many of the songs on a playlist, making them shorter ("Options" under "Get Info").
Since the information is still there for the entirety of the song and not just the portion that now plays, if I burn this playlist to a disc, will it burn the whole song or only the portion I have selected?

Ya that is the one "bug" in burning a playlist with songs that have shortened "Start/Stop" times set. While the songs themselves will only burn out with the start/stop times you specified, in the playlist it only shows the total time of all the tracks complete. There isn't any logic built into the application to calculate the ACTUAL play time of the tracks.
So if you had a single track that was 90 minutes long, set the start/stop times to only play 30 minutes of that track, you still couldn't burn it to a CD because iTunes checks the total time (90 minutes) of the playlist before burning the CD and will give you an error.
One work around is to first convert the songs in iTunes to generate the shorter versions then add those to the playlist instead. When you right click on a song, you will see an option to "Convert to XXX" (where XXX will be whatever encoding method your importing preferences are set to (e.g. MP3, AAC, etc.). If you pick this it will create a NEW copy of the track, converted to XXX, and will only be the portion of the track you specified in the Start/Stop times.
So taking the above example of the one 90 minute track with start/stop times set for only 30 minutes of the track, if you convert you will get a new track in iTunes with just that 30 minute segment which can then be added to a playlist and burned to CD.
The downside to this method is when you "Convert" you may be recompressing an already compressed song so you might lose a bit more sound quality. Not an issue if your original is a WAV, AIFF, or Apple lossless format, but if you start with an AAC or MP3 track and then convert it to a new AAC or MP3 track you might get some re-compression degrading of sound.
If some of the songs are on CDs you have at home, you might want to import them again, as AIFF, etc. with the reduced times set. Put the CD in, select the song on the CD you want to import a shortened version of, Get Info, set the Start/Stop times, deselect all the other songs on the CD, then import. Answer no when it asks you if you want to replace the one in your library with this one so it brings in a new version. You might get away with only having to do this with one or two tracks so that your entire playlist will fall under the 80 minutes or so for a CD and leave the rest as is which will burn out to a CD in their shortened form.

  • Lyrics not appearing - but just for one song

I've got the lyrics to most of my songs on iTunes, and they work fine.
Last week, like millions of my music-loving brethren, I downloaded the new Radiohead album. I added lyrics to each of the songs in iTunes, using lyrics from a fan site, and all of them transferred over well to the iPod - except one.
One song has a blank page, save for the song title (it's "Faust Arp", if you're curious), where the lyrics should be - i.e., when you press the centre button three times. All the other songs' lyrics are showing up on the iPod, as well as songs from other albums. Thing is, there are lyrics in the song on iTunes - you can see them right there when you right-click to get Info and press the Lyrics tab. They're just not making it to the iPod for this one song.
What's the deal? I've tried erasing them then syncing then pasting them back and syncing, but no dice.

    > Thanks for your reply. Yes I have tried re-publishing

    >
How do you handle the ITS sign-on? I mean do you get your users to sign-on using their own user IDs when the service is called or do you use a "dummy ITS" user that is hard-coded in the service parameter, which will then automatically sign each user on with this specific set of authorisations. What I am trying to say here is that the service parameters might be inconsistent on both ITS instances and it would be worthwhile getting someone to check if service files on both systems (on file level) are the same. Again, a re-publish could sort this out.
    Kind regards,

  • IPod Nano Sync Help: Using "Checked songs only" feature

    Hi
I just got an 8 gb nano and not used to selecting only part of my library for ipod sync(used to have a 20gb)
Problem: Sync not doing what i would expect
What i have done: I have unchecked most of my library so that it will fit in my ipod (i am not sure how many are checked/uncheked)
Also I have choosen the "only sync selected playlists"
What i want to do: i want to sync all the playlists + only checked songs
When i choose sync all playlists it tells me that the library dosen't fit
then, if i do "slected playlists" + checked songs, it only syncs the songs that are in the playlists and not all the checked songs
What is the hirerarky in the two options: is the "sync checked songs only" more iporatnt than the playlists
how can i get both : the checked songs only + my playlists?
thank you in advanced for your help

This issue has been posted several times; try to search for "ipod skipping songs".

  • What is the check box column for in iTunes?

I just upgraded to the latest version of iTunes (11 something).  Now the checked songs on the Music/Song page do not sync with my iphone.  I have to go to a separate page to select what I want to sync with my phone and if it's not my whole library I have to recheck everything manually.  Why isn't this just what I have already checked on my Music/Song page, like in older versions?  Now I have to start from scratch and the sync page isn't even by song, it's by album.  I don't want to sync every song in each album as this takes up too much space on my iphone.  So I don't understand what the point is of the check box column now since it's purpose seems to have been made redundant.  If I uncheck the box, the song now disappears completely.  It used to still be on my list but just was unchecked.  Where does the song go now?  And how can I get it back?  If there is any sort of support documentation on these features/functions, please point me to the link as I could not find anything on the apple site.

Check marks can be used to mark out tracks that you rarely want to listen to but still want to keep in your library, e.g. a bonus interview track at the end of an album. Unchecked tracks are usually excluded from syncing to devices, skipped during track to track playback and ingored when shuffling. To easily check or uncheck all tracks hold the ctrl key down while clicking a checkbox.
