Totally error on my ipod touch

i'm newbie here
can someone help me?
first, i have a ipod touch 32Gb, my uncle gave it to me yesterday
i want to reset it like a new ipod, so i chosse setting>general>reset>Erase All Content and Settings
and my ipod restarted
when my screen showed apple logo, it's freezed like this
i wait for it 30minutes, and it's still freezing..
i use hard rest (power button+home button) and it still like this
what must i do?
i can't do anything to my ipod..
please help me

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. in that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Update and restore error messages on iPod touch 2nd Gen

Hi folks I'm searching for a solution for the error message I have received when i connected my Ipod touch to my PC. I got notification that there was an update for Itunes available and would i like to download, i chose not to at this time as all i wanted to do was quickly put some music onto the ipod touch. I also had a notification that there was new software updates for the ipod itself, being how have had some of the issues this update was supposed to fix I clicked to download update and install.
since then i have had an error message telling me i now had to Restore my ipod, As it is in recovery mode due to an error occuring during software update. I didnt want to do this as i have not synced the Ipod to the PC in quite some time and had purchased content via itunes and appstore on the ipod itself and was affraid i'd lose all this.
I realised i had to restore to sort the issue out and have been trying in vain to restore the ipod for 2 days now. Every 'fix' or 'solution' on the help page has failed so far. the error message help page is here:

i have done everything on that list and still the issue wont go away, the number in brackets relating to the error message i receive is (14) every time.
I have a log of the last attempt to restore and failing which i copied before sending the information off to Apple. If anyone can help i'll be eternally grateful.
my ipod is a 16gig 2nd gen touch and obviously since its somehow in recovery mode i cant use it at all, and all i have on the screen is the usb cable and the itunes icon.

ok update:
I was looking at other threads that had similar issues as I'm having, I decided to dig in the PC a bit, i went to My computer/C drive/Documents and settings/<user name>/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software updates
to get the Application Data folder to become visible goto the Tools heading and select Folder Options, goto the View tab, then click the radio button that has "Show hidden files and folders" next to it, click apply, click ok. The application Data folder now appears in the directory.
I then Deleted everything inside the iPod Software updates folder.
Turned off my Anti virus and went to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
I selected my iPod and downloaded the update to my pc. Opened iTunes and shift clicked restore, i found the recently downloaded update on my desktop and installed it. Now my iPod has finally restored! success! yes!!
so now that we have got the iPod working again i need to know, since it is totally blank now what can i do about retrieving the songs, movies, apps and games i have paid for via the ipod touch itself? I have spent a lot of money on these and would like them back. Any ideas folks?
I can see my purchase history when im in iTunes i goto the Store tab and select my account. its all listed there but no option to re-download the content.

Error deploying to iPod touch after 2.0 upgrade

Been in the developer program a while and haven't had any problems with putting apps to my iPod touch until now. Downloaded the release version of the SDK, then I started having problems. Also have purchased release 2.0 software for the Touch and have it installed. When I try to Build | Go from Xcode, I get the following error:
Your mobile device has encountered an unexpected error (0xE8000001) during the install phase: Verifying application.
Anyone know what this might mean? First suspected the 2.0 software, now I'm starting to think more about certificates/profiles. XCode lists the device just fine as 5A347. Also has my provisioning profile checked.
One other thing that is strange is in the Apple docs on Multiple Applications they just released, it mentions checking in Key Chain under the Keys category. I don't see anything related to this in that category. But I do still have certificates listed in the System keychain.
I guess it is time to wipe out all the profiles again and start over. Any other ideas? Really what I'd like to see is a log file or something that gives me the real error, or at least the thing its trying to verify when it errors out.

I had forgotten about that in my new App. Changing it didn't help though. Also, the app that I have successfully deployed to the device before (and is on the AppStore now) has the same error. And it's identifier was already set.
Just for reference though, I'm setting my Identifier to the same thing that is listed in XCode under Organizer | Provisioning. And that is the same as listed under Name in the AppIDs section of the Program Portal. I also had used a * for the Bundle ID when I setup that AppID.
Thanks for the thought. Don't think that is the problem though. At least changing it to the above didn't seem to have any affect.

Blue Screen Error when syncing ipod touch 4g 32gb with i tunes 10 on Vista

I'm trying to sync my ipod touch 4g with my itunes 10 using a Dell XPS with Windows Vista. After the point where the songs begin to copy (around 5 mins to 30 mins into copying) a blue screen error is caused and the computer shuts down automatically. The blue screen error ID is 2057.
I have scanned for viruses and its clean, tested my hardrive and its all ok, and now been to apple and got a replacement ipod and usb, re-installed i tunes 10 BUT its still happening.
i'm not sure what to do next ..any suggestions??
BTW my computer works fine until I try syncing the ipod so it's definitely something related to it.

Just in case anybody is interested I managed to resolve the problem. Not sure if it was a just a co-incidence but after windows had auto-removed itunes 10, I plugged in the ipod and the computer recognised it as a working piece of hardware, although it actually thought it was a camera (not sure if that's normal).
Anyway I re-installed itunes10 but kept the ipod plugged into the usb all the time. When itunes had installed, i began the sync and the files copied far more quickly than in previous attempts. They are all on now and the ipod is working fine and no blue screen errors.
What probably happened is that when windows auto-fixed errors after the last crash(it didn't run an auto-fix after previous crashes), it fixed the error which was crashing itunes10 when syncing. I hope nobody else has this problem and the ipod remains ok.

You can try a reset.
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Otherwise yo will have to update via iTunes on a computer. Other uses have had to do that.
- fyou update on other than your syncing computer/iTunes library following these instructions. When you restore the iPod it will also be updated.

Have you ever jailbroken your device? If you have and have downgraded it before, you might need to edit the Hosts file on your computer. If you are using Windows, navigate to "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\Hosts" and edit the file with Notepad. If you are on Mac, go to "/etc/hosts" and open it with TextEdit. Remove any lines you added before and save the file (If you are on Windows Vista or 7, you will need to take ownership of the file first). Then open iTunes and try to restore.

How do i fix unknown error (6) for ipod touch

I got an update for my ipod touch and after updating a error occoured. So i clicked ok and it sayd i need to restore and update it. One cause of this is that you have saved a picture on your Touch when browsing the internet on Safari (by holding down on the image & selecting save). These saved images seem to cause a glitch and the PC thinks you have plugged a digital camera in causing the PC to crash. Don't know of an actual fix yet. The only work around is to delete the pics prior to plugging in the Touch. If you really want the pic just email it to yourself via wifi first. Funnily enough it is not a problem if the pic was on your pc and you synced it to the Touch via iTunes.

Error message 3194 iPod touch 2G

I am trying to update mt 2G iPod touch to 4.2 from 3.1.3. I keep getting the error message 3194. The iPod has never been modified in anyway. I am also running iTunes 10.3.1.55 if that is any help to you. I have also tried putting my iPod in DFU mode to change the software and setting it up as a new iPod and it still won't work.

Error 3194: Resolve error 3194 by updating to the latest version of iTunes. "This device is not eligible for the requested build" in the updater logs confirms this is the root of the issue. For more Error 3194 steps see: This device is not eligible for the requested build above.
