Touch and passwords (doesn't work).
I just tried to check my Gmail by logging into m.google.com and discovered that you can't enter a password... every character is upper case and caps lock doesn't have any effect, pressed or not pressed everything's still upper case.
Some people have reported being able to access Google services so unless they use all caps passwords somebody's gotten it to work...

So do I!!! I think I do. But it still doesn't work, very strange that one text box would be so different than another (although the password displays dots so that at least is difference).
As it happens I'm shackled to a blackberry so I can get my gmail from that but we're talking principle here

Using 'touch and hold' doesn't work on xoom
When typing on the xoom I am not able to use the 'touch and hold' to bring up anything i.e.: the other smiley-faces (there's supposedly 15 of them), foreign language equivalents, fractions, etc. I have tried everything from changing the language to Spanish to get the symbols to appear over n or e but nothing happens even when I change the language. When touching and holding a key nothing pops up like it should. I have an android phone and it works fine on the phone but on the xoom its like this option doesn't exist. Is there something I need to enable or activate, or is something blocking this function from working?
Any help would be great!

In your User Manual under Tips & Tricks you will find these directions:
• To move or delete something on the home screen, touch and hold it, then drag it to another spot, another panel, or the trash can in the upper right corner.
• Touch ?123 / ABC to toggle between letters and numbers. Touch "MORE" to see more special characters.
• Hold Shift (arrow up) to enter capital letters until you release it. Double-touch Shift (arrow up) for caps lock.Touch it again to unlock.

HT5622 apple ID and password doesn't work on my iphone.
Hi, my iphone won't recognize my apple ID password but the ID is correct and works on my MacBook and ipad. So I'm not getting my emails or imessages to my iphone. This this just occured after doing a software update to IOS 7.0.6. What do I do?
I'm having the same issue and I'm SO frustrated. I can log into MyAppleID fine (as I did to make this post), but that same user/pass doesn't work with iTunes and my iPhone 5S and iPad 2 both won't update any apps. When I try to log in to iTunes on either device the login screen just pops back up again in an endless loop, yet I go to a PC and login to my account just fine. I've now reset my password at least 3 times, I've signed in/out and rebooted the devices countless times, and yes, I'm sure I'm entering the password correctly. It's just driving me nuts.

Since latest update, Sound Check on Ipod touch and Iphone doesn't work.
My playlists have always played at an even volume before Sunday's software updates to Itunes, Ipod touch, and Iphone. Now my playlist volumes are all over the map. I teach a fitness class in a large room to 70 people, and this is ruining it!! Apple support on the phone told me it should work. Yes, it did work until the update, and I didn't change anything until I noticed it wasn't working anymore.
Now I have uninstalled/reinstalled Itunes, restored my Ipod Touch as a new Ipod, and even deleted and reloaded my music. Still not working!!!Just a stab in the dark, but check:
Settings -> WiFi -> (your WiFi network) -> HTTP Proxy
Set the Proxy to Auto and see if that helps. -
Why does my username and password doesn't work on ff and it works on other browsers?

I'm having a problem with login on my adsl modem page by using it's username and password.
I've been having the same problem since ff5 or ff6 and now the problem remains on ff9.0.1
When I type on address bar 192.168.2.1, to get on my modem's page and I try to login to change things or portforward etc, I get incorrect password message.
When I do the same on another browser like ie9 I don't have such issues.
I've try autofill form for my username and password and manual writing everything to ensure that I'm not doing anything wrong.
Even checked the saved password on ff and deleted it.
I've also tried to delete cookies and temporary files and clean registry.
No luck what so ever.I'm using a NetFaster IAD 2 modem from intracom.

So, apparently I have two Apple IDs associated with my iPhone. One is an old aol address that got hacked and was shut down. Even aol doesn't recognize the email address anymore, and the password doesn't work. It's associated with my iCloud account, so now I can't access that account. My other Apple ID is with everything associated with my iPhone and everything works just fine. But now I can't get to my iCloud stuff. Has this ever happened to anyone else. The guy at the Apple store says he's never heard of it.
Does the alert refer to "Local Items?"

Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost

After change to Mavericks my Mac become too slow e I can't use it because stays asking passwords for "talagent" and "messages agent" as icloud keys. I got changed the icloud password many times and still doesn't work. I can't open any program.
Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access. -
how do i get a password? I changed my password last night and it doesn't work. Or, it is asking for a password for something else and I do not know which one!
Usually when someone mentions "passowrd" in a posting it will not be related to an Adobe product but to the machine that you are trying to implement some installation or update for. If you explain more about what you are trying to do and describe what you encounter it might be easier to determine what you are dealing with... include a screenshot to help explain as well if you can.

I just bought a new apple imac pro laptop. the did the updats at the store and put in a password for me.I got home and the password doesn't work.
Resetting User Password in Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks
Boot into your Recovery Partition by hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
In Terminal, type:
resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Old name and password won't work when networking to new Win7PC.
I have a name/password problem when trying to network a new Win 7 PC via a new Netgear 2200 Router to a MacMini.
It networked 100% OK with the old XP System and old Netgear Router, but now when I click on the PC icon that shows up in Workgroup the old password doesn't work and there is a different popup menu that won't allow the old name and password.
Interestingly the Mac Mini still networks with the XP laptop using the old pupup box with name and password.
Netgear say it's not their problem - even though they list 'mac compatible' on their box.
The PC manufacturer (Acer) say Mac issues are outside of their free technical support.
Apple support said the Macmini was 'out of warranty'.
So I'm stuck using a USB stick or email to transfer files from one to the other!

If you've enabled root logins, log in as root and promote the other user to an admin.
Option 2
Recover your entire system from the last Time Machine snapshot taken before the damage was done, if you know when that was. Afterwards you can restore any data that has changed since then from a later snapshot. If you’re an advanced user familiar with the shell, there may be a quicker fix, but I prefer not to get into that.
Option 3
Back up all data, then boot in single-user mode (command-S at startup.) When the text stops scrolling, follow the prompts to make the boot volume writable. Then enter the following command very carefully:
rm -i /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
You should get the following line of output below what you entered:
remove /var/db/.AppleSetupDone?
If you do, then enter
y
and press return. Then type
reboot
Press return again. The system will boot into the Setup Assistant, as if you were setting it up for the first time. Skip the prompt to transfer information. Create a user with the same name as the old admin user. Log in and test. You may need to recreate your other user accounts, if any. Their files won't be deleted.
Option 4
If you're not comfortable with any of the above options, get someone more experienced to help you. One way to do that is to make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store. It's a free service. -
I have been unable to log in to iCloud on my iMac. None of the hints online have worked. I can't sign in (with any password), sign out, the forget password doesn't work, the support button doesn't work. It's locked. I can't find anyway to fix this - I need to add a new printer ASAP - help!!!
The "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" window popped up a couple of weeks ago and is asking for my Apple ID password, which it will not accept, It won't sign me out (I am not logged in), the support or forgot password buttons won't work. With this window stuck open, I cannot access anything on system preferences. I can't find any way to make it go away. I have tried both my current and old Apple ID passwords, tried using FaceTime to login with the newer password, etc.

If your iPhone is unresponsive after updating your iOS version, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting below.
If you see a black screen
You might need to charge your device before it can turn on. Plug in your device and let it charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad), then try turning it on.
You should see a battery icon while your device is charging. If you continue to see a black screen, reset your device. If your device doesn't respond when you press buttons
Your device might not return to the Home screen when you press the Home button, wake from sleep when you press the Sleep/Wake button, slide to unlock or power off, or it might appear frozen. Try these steps:
Restart your device.
If it still doesn't respond, or if it doesn't turn back on, reset your device.
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
