Touch control stops on spit x2  >> Non Stop random Freezing
A) using as laptop and touch pad stops working ( can revert to touch screen till it stops)
           i)  Sometime if I turn screen off then back on , touch pad starts working
         ii) Most cases I have to reboot laptop to get touch pad  to work
B) using as tablet, touch screen stops working ( can reconnect to keyboarf till tuch pda stops)
           i)  Sometime if I turn screen off then back on , touch screen  starts working
         ii) Most cases I have to reboot scereen/computer to get touch  screen  to work
This cause lost work lost files and much frustration over the pas year.
Already have removed and reinstalled touch pad drivers many times , they are the newest again.
What is HP's fix for freezing touch controls always freezing everyday of my life? (do I need to buy some one elses laptop/tablet?)

I understand that you have been having regular problems with the touchpad freezing on you. I am happy to help with this.
Please post the full product number for your notebook. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Has there been any other noticeable performance problems, such as a slowing down when connected to the internet?
I would recommend starting with the following page: HP PCs - Computer Locks Up or Freezes (Windows 8)
As it is a system freeze normally it is due to a software conflict, either from drivers or often due to some malicious software.
Also there may be something in this page that could be of use, but I would use the one on Lock ups first.

Let me know if you see any improvement, or if there is anything else noticeable that could be helpful.

    If your device has been jailbroken during the warranty, Apple will not service it.
    Maybe you missed that in this article:

    This happens all the time, as soon as I get past the login screen on my laptop the touch pad stops working?
    Can use a USB mouse as a back-up but as the laptop is only 5 weeks old I would of expected it to be all good for a lot longer?

    Please go to control panel (Win key + X -> control panel) -> mouse
    Here you will find differetn options realted to touchpad and mouse
    There shoudl be an option which disables the touchpad when external device (USB mouse) is conencted.
    Check if this not the case!

    Touchsmart Touch features stopped working on my replacement TM2 laptop. I have an extended warranty, but HP's website does not see it. It only lets me call in for help. I called in, spent 30m on hold, and hung up in frustration. I am sick of HP's craptastic quality control, whether in midrange servers like the DL-585 or on consumer products like the TM2. Every time I try and use an HP product in our data center or office, it ends up embarassing me. When we try and get support, HP makes every effort to make it difficult either on the web or online. Do I seriously have to escalate to our district manager every time? I'm beginning to think HP is a vendor best left off the candidate list for future purchasing. There's easier and more fun ways to waste my time.

    My problem has been resolved on my next start up. Not sure what triggered the fix, but when I started up and during the Window start up image I pressed in sequence both DEL and ESC (I read something on another forum somewhere). May have had nothing to do with it, maybe the restore triggered?? but somehow when it started up it ran a sequence of fixes (A quick pop up said running .. of 13,000 updates), then the touchpad etc was working again.
    My machine is runnning the standard windows 7. Just to answer your question there is a option under (control panel / Hardware & Sound / device & printers / right click keyboard settings) that checks the drivers.

  • Music controls stopped working after I updated iOS7

    As soon as I updated (iOS7) to my phone, my music controls stopped working. On the lock screen and in music app, I can’t change volume. Control button looks like lock and when I touch it,  volume doesn't want to change. It’s not about my iphone speakers because my phone can ring. I already tryed to reset my phone and still nothing better.

    This is happening with my iPad mini too. I bought last week, and it have already come with iOs 7, and the music controls on the lock screen had been working normally but since two days ago it stopped working the play button, favorites and next song button, only the volume is working yet. If anybody know something, let us know. Tell us what you will do cathconst. Thanks. :/

  • Why did my brand new Ipod 5g 32gb touch screen stop working?

    So I got this ipod from the Genius Shop for about a month. A few days ago when IOS 7.1 came out, I updated it. However, the ipod seems to lag a little. Today, I was charging my ipod and for some reason, when I turn it on, the touch screen stop working (the ipod is in perfect condition). The home button, volume button and the on/off button all works fine except for the touch screen. I want to restore everything on my computer, but I can't get pass the lock screen (the touch screen seems to stop working). I just can't do anything on this ipod anymore beside turning it on and off. I can't even power it off because the touch screen is no longer touchable. So how can I restore everything, or do something about this ipod to work again. Can I still take this back to the Genius Shop and get another one without additonal charge?  

    If the reset does not work try the remaining items of:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable       
    - Try on another computer                            
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • The remote controls stopped working

    I bought with an official Apple dealer the new i Pod Shuffle (generation 3) to use during my bike rides. After the first ride the remote controls stopped working and the voice over feature spontaneously started repeating the songs title. As well the volume control stopped working altogether. I didn't have time to return the Shuffle after only a week so I disable the voice over feature and keep on using my Shuffle with no volume adjustment, fast forward etc ….
    After a visit to the Apple website I saw that several owners complained about this problem and assumed Apple would know about it and be ready to offer a fast solution. So picked an official Service Center as close as possible from my location.
    First shock the Service Center was dirty, the paint obviously several decades old and faded, the light kept to the minimum.
    Second shock not Tech on duty to check something as simple as a headsets. I realized there was no way to have a fast resolution to my problem. The Shuffle will be send to a regional repair center, I could have save the trip and just go to an Apple dealer. What the use to have Service Centers if they don't provide service?
    Now when a product is returned, after 25 days of ownership (can't say use), a product designed by a company with the reputation of Apple you expect some kind of sign that the company is sorry, stands behind it's product and will do all possible to solve the problem. WRONG.
    Third shock. The person who took my Shuffle obviously never saw a Shuffle generation 3 before or even knew it existed. She explained over and over that I may (but it sounded more like I will) be charge for the repair. Even asked me to pay upfront a basic fee to cover the time of a Tech checking on the product. And that the Tech will give me a quote if I am to be charged. Furthermore She found tons of reasons why eventually I would be charged to repair the product, however no technical person ever checked on the product. Well I guess only users read messages on Apple website not employees of Apple.
    So what now? I am suppose to receive an E-mail in 24 hours to 5 working days, in which I'll be explained the result of the Tech investigation.
    I guess most owners of Apple products have a better experience with the Customer Service or where the reputation of Apple being a “cool” company comes from? But based on my experience it looks like Apple's products and Apple's Customer Service may not meet Apple's reputation or customer's expectations. Or am I asking for too much?

    I seriously doubt you were at an Apple Store and you were not dealing with Apple employees. You were dealing with a 3rd party shop that does work on Apple products.
    Don't know where you are located but you could contact Customer Service at Apple and complain but they are somewhat limited it dealing with a 3rd party company. But they will at least have you complaint on file. Or you could attempt to find an actual Apple Store and take your Shuffle there. Or you could try one of the workarounds listed on the threads here.

    Let your ipod die. Then when it is dead charge it adn turn it back on. After that it should be fine.

    Have  discovered that I had not in fact updated the ios!!
    Went through the process last night and my ipod now works fine on my docking station.

    Can anyone help me?  My ipod touch has stopped syncrinising with itunes following a download from audible.  It seems to be recognised as a camera.  The ipod sign dows not come up in the left hand side of itunes.

    I have now removed and re-installed every piece of Apple Software on my laptop. I assume this would result in the drivers being re-installed.
    However, when I plug the iPOD in a message comes up 'Installing Device Drivers'. Then a message comes up that they are installed successfully, but it does also say 'Searching folders for preconfigured drivers...'. After 10 mins I assumed this did not mean anything and closed the window.
    It is not convenient for me to check the other computer's drivers. Anyway, the iPOD used to work on this computer. The only thing I have done on this computer re device drivers is to start using a USB mouse (which installed drivers) and I also checked them all for updates. Only the Intel ones updated.
    Needless to say the iPOD is still unrecognised in iTunes.
    Any further help much appreciated.

    I recieved my replacement while on vacation in Vegas, about five days ago. My new iPod has been kept nice and safe in it's case without any bumps that could damage it. Today, May 4th, I go to school with a perfectly working iPod. On my way home, kept safe in my pocket all day, the touch screen stopped working, and restarting it didn't fix it. It's brand new, so whats wrong and how can I fix it PLEASE!

    Oh no! This is not what we like to hear. I want to make sure that we are able to get your phone back up and running. Is there any kind of physical or liquid damage to the device? Can you try to press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until the device powers off then release (approximately 10 seconds). Please keep us posted.

    I have a 3rd generation ipod touch. Suddenly after falling, the touch screen stop working. There is no damage to the screen nor the back or any part of the ipod but it never worked again as touch sensiivity. I reset the system, did the push to reset and when get the red slide bar to shut down its not responding because the screen does not work when touched.

  • Yoga 13 touch screen stopped working after update KB3000850, please help!

    Hi, my Yoga 13 touch screen has been working fine until yesterday. The laptop came with Windows 8, and last year I upgraded to Windows 8.1 without issue. Yesterday, I installed optional update KB3000850 from Windows Update, and immediately the touch screen stopped working. I have tried the following methods, all without success:
    * Uninstall KB3000850 from Windows Update
    * Use Windows Restore to restore to the point before yesterday
    * Re-install Intel Chipset Driver from Lenovo official driver page
    * In Device Manager, uncheck all the "allow system to turn off to save power" options for the USB input devices under Human Interface Devices then restart
    * Two-button shutdown and restart
    * Install Lenovo Driver Manager and let it check for new drivers
    * Download Cando multi touch panel driver (Note: I could not install the driver because all I got was a .cab file which does not allow me to install)
    As of now my touch screen is still not working. Computer Information page from Settings shows that there is no touch or pen device for my screen.
    Can anybody help me with this? Thanks!

    Very true, this has been a known problem since the first day Lenovo released the Yoga 13.
    I need to send Lenovo a bill for my time spent rebooting.  So far i am on my 8th reboot.  In the past, around 5 reboots after winddows update would work.  This time... who knows.
    Of course it always happens when you have a deadline.
    Please post back if you have found a better soultion than system restore.
    Thanks for posting this issue.  More users need to bring this to Lenovo's attention.

  • SRS-X7 touch controls no longer working

    Hello!
    In July 2014, I purchased in Japan the portable sound system SRS-X7. But ever since I updated its firmware to the latest version 2.11.2.06, I lost access to the volume (+ and -) and bluetooth touch controls located at the top of the unit.
    I've performed the recommended resets various times (including the hard reset, with the unit attached to my MacBook via ethernet cable), but the problem remains. This seems to be a software issue because, whenever I hard reset the unit, I become able to access the bluetooth touch control in order to perform a new pairing; but then I loose access to it once again.
    Until you release a correction it would be useful to downgrade the firmware to the oldest version, but I cannot find it in your support pages.
    Since my unit is stil in the warranty period, I would appreciate orientation on how to proceed, if the problem turns out to be a hardware malfunction of my unit.
