Touch no longer working on tx2

Touch just stopped working on my TX2 laptop.  How do I figure out what is wrong?

Check in device manager for Digitizer and see if there is error reported there...If yes, than install the N-Trig Driver from Driver download page for the OS you are running on...that should take care of it....

It made me restore to factory reset and it still does not work!!! Nothing I do will work on this touch now. I have so much data on this, I don't want to loose or have to restore!
    Can you help me?
    Thanks

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

touch no longer works since ios 6 update!!!!!!!!!!!!!  FIX THIS PROBLEM

Did you fail transfer all purchases to your computer before attmeoting to update?  not good.  ''You can redownload some itunes purchases in some contries:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
You will need to restore.  If you are unable then read this:

  • All of a sudden, my 4th gen iPod Touch no longer works with my Apple TV, has Apple "upgraded" something to kill off this older unit? (IOS 6.1.2)

All of a sudden, my iPod Touch (4th gen, IOS 6.1.6) no longer works with Airplay on my Apple TV.  It was working and still works as a 'remote' but not with Airplay which seems to indicate I've been abandoned by the message that pops up on the screen saying in essence "too bad you don't have IOS 7.1".

    See
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - Then do the other actions of:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
paying special attention to item #5
    - New cable and different USB port
    - Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

  • Ipod touch no longer working in car?

    Hi there,
Both my ipod touch and nano are no longer working in the car. We have a USB port etc and have not had any issues until now. We just plugged it in, pressed CD/AUX and that was it. Now it just says "Unsupported" on the screen. Any ideas?

    snoakes wrote:
That's likely it but I don't understand what that means.
    It means that either:
    (a) Your stereo never did fully comply with Apple's communication protocol. The only reason it worked before was because Apple previously did not use something in the defined protocol until now. Now that they are, your stereo no longer communicates with the iPod. Apple is still complying with their protocol, but your stereo can no longer capitalize in a prior limitation in the iPod OS.
    OR
    (b) Apple either did not define the protocol completely (or accurately), or they muffed the code that would ensure compliance to their own defined protocol.
    snoakes wrote:
Will it ever work again? Any way around this. Seems kinda dumb to update something and then suddenly it no longer works with the stuff I have (ie a car!!)
You can see if there is a firmware update for your stereo, or you can wait and hope for a change in the iPod OS someday that will restore functionality. You might also be able to step down a revision in your iPod OS.
In any case, you can report your problem here:

  • Touch no longer works after replacing screen for Yoga 2 Pro

Screen was cracked so I replaced the screen.  Now touch doesn't work.
There is no "Pen and Touch" and "Tablet PC Settings" in Control Panel.  In PC info it says, "No pen or touch input is available for this display."
Touch DOES work on LENOX as I ran it from a usb drive, so it is not a hardware problem.
    I have reinstalled Windows.
I have another Yoga 2 Pro and comparing Device Manager in both I see no differences.
How can I get the touch to work again?

    ColonelONeill wrote:
Does uninstalling and reinstalling the touch screen device under Device Manager get it to show up?
Well, I did update the display adapter and the HID-compliant touch screen driver, and a host of other drivers.  Also did a reinstal of windows from system restore, but I guess as far as specifically uninstalling and reinstalling the touch screen device, I guess not.
I sent the laptop to the company who I bought the screen from, (Laptop Repair 365) because they said that they would fix it for free.  I sent it yesterday and they already got it today and said they fixed it.
I asked what was wrong and they said a falty screen and they replaced it under warrenty for free.  Great company!
I still don't understand.  The touch worked when running linux so how could it be a falty screen?

  • Ipod touch no longer working with isimple device?

I have a 4th gen Ipod touch that was working just fine with my isimple device in my vehicle until I believe I updated the ipod to the latest firmware. I now recieve a message saying device is not compatible with Ipod, Is there anyway I can rollback to the previous version which I believe was 6.1.2? Thanks!!

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
    Sometimes this works:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Go to the devices support site and see if they have anything. Maybe a firmware update is available. Otherwise you will have to wait for a firmware or iOS update.

  • IPod Touch no longer works with car stereo after 4.0 update

I updated my iPod to 4.0 a couple of days ago, and my Hyundai Santa Fe's built-in iPod interface no longer recognizes my iPod's music - it just says "empty iPod" or something of that nature. Is anyone else having this problem?? What should I do?

Add me to the list. Brand blankety-new ipod touch that after 4.0.2 wouldn't work with the Subaru-factory-installed ipod connector in my '08 STI. The shut-it-off-and-restart-in-the-car method at least made it able to play music again but still no recharging.
To add insult to injury I did the have-an-Apple-GENIUS call me thing. The first thing was that they called me....for about 1/4 of a second. The phone blipped for less than a ring and then I got an email saying, "Oh, we TRIED to reach you and you weren't there. Why don't you call us?". So I called and was immediately put on hold. When one of the geniuses finally picked up, I described the issue with great patience and his insightful answer was, "let me put you on hold while I talk to my supervisor." So I sat on hold for five minutes until...they just hung up...no answer, no, "gee we think you're SOL"....just "click". Thanks a boatload Mr. Jobs.

  • IPod Touch no longer works!

    HI,
I've got it for 2 yrs, not using that much, and it stopped working! The screen only shows light, and sometimes stripes. In store they told me that either the processor is gone or the graphic card.
I'm really disappointed. I should understand that these days the devices are made not to last long, but I would still expect to work a little bit longer... ;(
    Nice day,
    Lana

Have you tried basic steps to resolve this, such as re-starting the Touch or Restoring it? Check this page - http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/assistant/ipodtouch/ which includes making sure it's fully charged and so on. (You've got nothing to lose except a little time.)

  • IPod Touch no longer working with car Head Unit since update

Hi there, I have a problem with using my iPod Touch with my car's head unit.
I've been using my iPod Touch with the Alpine IDA X001 Head unit fitted in my car for the last 3 months without any problems, however I installed the latest software update for the Touch (v4.0) and now the head unit connects and then says no USB device. At first I thought it was the cable as the cable supplied with the head unit is pretty fragile, so I've replaced it with a new one but it still doesn't work.
I've tested with my iPod Nano and it works perfectly so its not a problem with the head unit or lead (I plugged the Touch in and it didn't work, plugged the Nano in and worked perfectly and then plugged the Touch in and didn't work).
Can anyone help or is it gonna be a case of Restoring the iPod Touch back to factory settings ????

I was also having this problem with my Kenwood car stereo. I went into the store and they did a complete restore. I didn't think it worked but the next time I plugged it into my usb to connect with my car stereo it worked. So you might try doing a restore.

  • Touch no longer works with G5/Leopard

My iTouch has worked GREAT between my G5 and MBPro until I updated the G5 to OS 10.5.4. The MBPro is still running 10.4.11 due to conflicts with some of my audio editing software. I've read the threads about possible conflicts with 3rd party USB/Firewire hardware, and I do have a 3rd party FW card in the G5... BUT IT WORKED ON TIGER.
So basically when I plug the Touch into the G5, it's get power to charge nut is NEVER seen by iTunes. The System Profiler sees it attached to the USB bus, but no love for syncing. Again, this has worked flawlessly with Tiger.
    Anyone else seeing this?
    Thanks

I'm currently in the UK on business but will try iTunes 8.0 on the G5 when I get home in a couple of days. I did, sort of, receive an answer to this question on a different thread.

  • Sensor touch no longer works on my 1st generation iPhone.  Is there a fix for this?

software version 3.1.3   The most crucial feature of the iPhone ceases to function rendering the unit useless.  When I get a call, I hear the ring but cannot answer.  I hear the notification of a text message, but cannot view or reply.  I reboot over and over and over again to no avail.  I am a loyal apple customer, bbut I am told by the folks at the "genious bar" that there is nothing they can do.  So I submit to all you other loyal apple users, *** am I to do???

Your phone is no longer supported by Apple.  If you want to continue to use the phone, you will have to attempt to fix it yourself.
What you can do is Google "iPhone repair" in your area and see if there's any place to get it repaired.  Depending on the cost of the repair, you might want to consider a new phone.
    Good luck.

  • IPod Touch no longer working with Nike  after 4.3.2 update.

I updated to 4.3.2 about a week ago and immediately afterwards my itouch was not able to pick up the Nike+ sensor when initiating a run (during the "walk around to start the sensor" part).  I even went out and dropped 20 bucks on a new sensor at Best Buy because my initial thought was the battery died since I've been using it for about 2 years.  When I went to pair the new sensor I was surprised to see the itouch finding "multiple sensors" and still pickign up on my old one, so I had to go to a seperate room to pair the new one.  I thought all was right in the world, but the next morning again it would not find the signal to start the workout.
I also did a factory reset, but still nothing.
What's going on? Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

I was also having this problem with my Kenwood car stereo. I went into the store and they did a complete restore. I didn't think it worked but the next time I plugged it into my usb to connect with my car stereo it worked. So you might try doing a restore.
