Touch not responding

My driod 2 screen went blank so I reboted it now the touch screen is not responding and I cant even unlock my phone. What do I do?

    Hello Tellemtwice234,
Oh my! Having a touchscreen that won't respond is never a good thing. There are many things that can factor a non responsive screen. Most of the time; it is a result of a recently installed application. I definitely want to get this fixed for you.
Let's try running your phone in Safe Mode. Slide your keypad up on your Droid 2; Press and hold the "OK" key while powering the phone on. Here is a visual to enable and disable Safe Mode:http://bit.ly/o5McAQ.
We recommend keeping the phone in this mode and testing the touchscreen out. If it is responding properly while in Safe Mode, remove the most recently installed applications then power the phone up to test in normal mode.
If you are unable to determine which applications are causing the freezing; the next step would be a Master Reset using the Alternative method: http://bit.ly/GPI14h.
Let us Keep us posted. We are here to help.

Try what you have not tried so far. You may have tried all and the Apple store maybe in order.
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • 2nd gen Ipod Touch not responding

My mother has had this Ipod Touch for several years and it recently stopped working. It has been well taken care of, but it hasn't seen much use for at least a year now. Holding the home button and/or the power button for any length of time does not work at all. Neither does charging it. When I plug it into the computer, a message pops up. "USB Device is not Recognized." I'm wondering if this is just needs to be replaced or if this is something that can be fixed. She's even considering buying a 30 pin usb to see if that'll fix the problem. Any suggestions?

I touch the number pad to enter the passcode and it never registers by the number is selected on the screen.

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
    - Last, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • I pod touch not responding

Why would apple make updates to itunes like this if u have to go through deleting i tunes and reinstalling it. What happens to all my music, aps etc. Will i have to reload all of them too? Or do i loose them?

If you follow Appl'es instructions, your iTunes media library is not effected
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, yoo should always backup your media library

  • IPod Touch not responding after adding videos/photos

Still have a problem with my iPod.... Works OK with music only. But after having sync videos and some photos, everything worked OK for a while... left the iPod off and next morning could not turn it on ... not even with the reset (pushing wake/sleep + menu button simultaneaously).
Second time this has happened in the last few days.... only alternative is to try restore again via iTunes. Anyone else has had a similar problem? Any help/tips would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Hmm interesting. I put mine to sleep. It's been on sleep now for 4 hours with no activity. I just turned it back on, and music playback resunmes where it was. (I have a week 37) I also haven't heard of this specific problem before.
Maybe try taking it to an Apple Store, give the Genious Bar a try, and see what they make of it.
If they can replicate the situation at the store, on your device, they have no reason to not exchange the model for you. Make sure if you do decide to pay Apple a visit, take the box, packaging and receipt with you 'incase' they offer you a refund.

  • IPad touchscreen is not responding even if I did the restart procedure.

iPad touchscreen is not responding even if I did the restart procedure.

    Hi AngusZ,
The article below may be able to help you with this issue.
Click on the link below to see more details and screenshots.
I've quoted some helpful highlights for you:
iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: Not responding or does not turn on
    Resolution
Follow the appropriate steps for the symptom you're experiencing.
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close
If the device is unresponsive or certain controls aren't working as expected, try restarting
To turn off the device, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off the device.
To turn on the device, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), try resetting Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds.
If there is no video, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the 10W USB Power Adapter.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Home button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, let the device to continue to charge until it turns on.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode.
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!
