Ubuntu 10.04 Touch pad driver for Lenova G 460

I bought a Lenova G 460 with intel dual core microprocessor and free DOS .When I installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS in it ,the touch pad is not working.Can anyone give me an idea where to find the touch pad driver.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I believe touch support is still very much under development for Firefox, so the current implementation may not be as good as other applications. I never used Firefox in a touch screen device (except for Firefox Mobile), but I do know full touch screen support (including multi touch) is one of the targets for Firefox 4.0.

my laptop Pavilion G4-2008TU is giving trouble. a few days ago, while i was chating through skype, suddenly the screen became dark and showed the message," no disc found". the power button wasn't working. I removed the bettry and then faced so much trouble as it was not getting startted. then after a while i was able to make it started, but from then, it has become very slow. I setup the windows for three times. but still no progress. last time i installed windows 8 and i need the touchpade driver. and please help me to improve the condition of the laptop

TS3293 All applications appear to respond to the touch pad, except for Facebook. It takes a strange double click on each side of the comment or like button. This is running in safari. The face book app doese not have that issue.

While in Facebook and using safari or atomic web browser, I have to double click on one Sid of screen and the other very fast and sometime it will allow me to like or make a comment. This does not happen with ipad face book app or any other applications. Just stated doing this yesterday
Can anyone help, it is now very hard to use Facebook.

Facebook and mobile safari are not playing well together right now. It's an issue with facebook, not your iPad. The best you can do is find a work around until Facebook fixes it, if they ever do.

I think I am having the same problem. I am using a macbook pro 15 and this morning it received an OSX update, it is now on 10.10.2. I use Office365 email for work and suddenly I can't use 2-finger scrolling over my inbox list. I can scroll through the email body and there is no problem with gmail inbox.
this is a real pain, when i attempt to scroll it attempts to scroll the whole web page, it doesn't seem to recognise that my mouse pointer is over the list of emails of my inbox.
i hope apple know about this and can fix it.

Zen Touch Pad Sensitiv

i found this out in nomadness in their forum that if we put the sensitivity on high that there is better control and much less overshoting a song in which you desire. Gi've it a try and see what happens ? i think it was a great idea cause i never tried it before, i automatically put it on low because of other complaints in the forum but now high is much better.

I have a Zen Touch here and there's a definite difference between the three options. Check which part of the touchpad you're using aswell. On the Zen Touch (and Micro), the upper part (closest to the screen) is for fast scrolling up, the very bottom part is for fast scrolling down, the middle section of the touch pad is for normal scrolling up or down. If it's still too sensiti've on all settings, or doesn't respond properly, there may be a hardware fault (contact Support in that case).
Do you have the Zen Touch by the way, or the Zen Micro? The subject line indicates Zen Touch, but you posted in another Zen Micro thread before.

Please don't be mad on me but we cannot discuss on this way. If you want to have precise answer you must post your notebook model. maybe you have some old and not Win7 supported machine and this driver will not be relased at all.
So please post exact info and we can have serius discussion here.
Anyway, if you are missing Win7 touchpad driver try to install Vista driver.
I have done the same on my Satellite A300 and it works perfectly.

It asked me that too.Don't worry and just put it in. Itunes doesn't charge unless your son buys something. The password happens to me all the time. Credit card was only once. Just make sure your son knows not to buy anything without permission so he doesn't accidently charge you something.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
If you detect a faulty add-on, you should contact its author for support. You can also search for alternatives. Site filters are relatively common in the add-ons gallery: [http://addons.mozilla.org addons.mozilla.org].

I have an ipod touch 4g 32 gb. after a week of use, i noticed that sometimes, after i unlock , the homescreen hangs for about 3-6 seconds.

yes so this hanging issue is not all the time. it happens like almost half the times i unlock.
i tried restoring. initially it was ok. then i downloadded an app from the appstore. after downloading i unlocked my ipod and it hangs.
for sure it will hang at this time.
then it continues to hang
it is not jailbroken
and its not only the homescreen. its just the whole device. during this hanging time no button will work. the touch interface does not work. nothing. after 5 seconds....everything is back to normal ... it is very very annoying

im currently on ios 5.1.1.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

My name is Shahar. I am a HW eng and I've been using T61 for the past 3 years. It's my work laptop, but I am happy with it. Its way better than my previous cra^#@%#^%!!! Laptop.
I'd like to suggest / request a simple addition to the touchpad driver from the development guys in lenovo. My suggestion is about the usage of the touch-pad.
Currently, the touch pad works like this: I drag my finger on the pad from point (x0,y0) to point (X1,Y1) thus "drawing" a vector , and the pointer moves in the same angle of my vector. The length of that movement is of course depends also on my touch-pad driver configuration.
What I really, really, really, really want is to not have to drag my finger. I wish the touch pad will work in the following manner:
Lets define a virtual middle of the touch pad as point (Xm,Ym), and were I touch the pad as point (Xt,Yt).
I want the pointer to move according to the angle of a vector starting a point (Xm,Ym) and pointing to (Xt,Yt), and I want it to move in a speed which is relative to the distance between the points. Point (Xm,Ym) is where the pointer is now, and point (Xt,Yt) is the direction I want the pointer to move. The pointer should move as long as I keep touching the pad, and stop when I remove my finger.
That's all .
I would have added such an option to the touchpad driver myself if I had the means....
Is this feasible ?
Maybe I can get info on how to communicate with the touchpad ?

I have a couple things I would add as well:
"An option to link/ unlink ALL selected mask layers, instead of having to go down manually doing it on each masked layer." that wouldve saved me literally an hour at work today.
My request is to have a "liquify all" option where you can essentially easily batch all selected masks or layers and apply a saved mesh without having to do it manually.
As a person who professionally uses photoshop for 8 hrs a day every day this feature would save me an easy half hour on many files. It also would cut down on the "mistakes" we make by missing one random but essential mask.
One more suggestion is to enable "warp" in transform to work with the "transform again" command as it is the only one of the forms of transformations that does not allow it.

No control pannel for my touch pad?????

I got a new Hp Laptop and I some how managed to change the settings for the touch pad??? I am unable to turn the touch pad off by pressing the small button above the pad and the scroll along the side of the bar is not working anymore. Its fustrating!!
I tried to download somethings on the HP websites to give my a control pannel under my Control Settings / Mouse hardware section, but nothing happened.
Does anyone have any suggestions please??

Before Reinstalling drivers I would try going to start>control panel>mouse>then at the top you should see synaptics touch pad. click there then click device defaults. this will be much faster and should restore it. The problem is even reinstalling the driver won't fix it cause the driver is good and will most likely set your device back to the same settings. In vista this is normal, the way around would be to uninstall any driver for the touchpad before reinstalling it this can be done through the hardware manager. It will work if the other fails let me know if you need to know how to do it. Gangles answer my work but in Vista due to where the user settings are stored for the synaptics pointing device aren't really deleted while reinstalling the driver hence the driver will read those.
