Touch problems with syncing on itunes

My brand NEW Ipod Touch is not synching properly with my existing iTunes media, (Movies and Music). It is not syncing "automatically" even though it says it has. There's data on the hard drive but my songs and movies are not appearing on the ipod Touch itself. When I upload music & videos manually, they appear and are able to play, but I don't want to have to do all this manually! Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would recommend that you use the search function on the right and search the iPod Touch forum for "13019" since other have experienced the same error.

So, in iTunes, when you look at the shuffle's content (in the sidebar) and click on the playlist under the shuffle, over to the right, the songs are in your desired order, correct?  Where do you look, or what do you do, that indicates the playlists are in alphabetical order?  Are you saying that when you play the songs while using the shuffle, they play in alphabetical order?
If so, when you listen to the songs on the shuffle, are you using the playlist, or are you using the All Songs list? If you are in the default All Songs list, with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order (the middle position), the songs play alphabetically, I believe.
The 3rd gen shuffle uses VoiceOver.  If you are in the All Songs list, you need to use VoiceOver to switch to the playlist (see manual linked below for details).  When you are in the playlist (with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order), then the songs should play in playlist order.
There are more details in the manual for the 3rd gen shuffle, which is online here
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_shuffle_3rdGen_UG.pdf
See page 22 for the section about setting up and using VoiceOver.  The part about switching playlists starts on page 23 (Using the Playlist Menu).

  • Problem with sync in iTunes.  Installed applications do not copy

    Hi,
I run Win XP. I have an Iphone 3G running 2.2.
I have 100+ apps installed on the phone. When I sync, it always downloads from the iTunes Store the last 20-30 apps that I have installed on the phone. It takes 10-15 minutes everytime I sync. (it used to take 30sec -> 1min before).
These last apps do not appear in:
    Devices / Name /
I have checked on the folder C://My music > iTunes > iTunes apps. These 20-30 apps are not copied there with the other apps.
I have uninstalled iTunes & reinstalled it. Same problem.

    Thanks for your response.
Yes I had the tick box checked, as I had previously synced the playlists to the phone. (I'm correct thinking you're referring to the check box under the MUSIC => iTunes Library => Playlists heading?).
When I have my phone connected the playlists which I have synced become ticked/highlighted, it just appears that they don't update any changes that have been made since they were first transferred.

  • Problem with Syncing On  ITunes

    How do People.
I have the current version 7.2.3 Installed. When I try to sync my Ipod a message states that I don't have enough room on my IPod to sync the selected songs and ITunes can sync a randomly selected number of songs etc.
On previous versions of ITunes that I had Installed on my PC the 'selected' songs only would be synced but now the new version of ITunes doesn't sync the 'selected' songs, Instead It recognises all songs on my Itunes library as 'selected' to be synced?
    Please help me out.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I have a 4GB first-generation Nano. I haven't added any new music since my last sync, only added and deleted a few podcasts. I installed iTunes 7.3.2 last night. Now my iPod has almost 2GB of free space but says it needs 5.5GB in order to sync my library. That's about how much I have in my playlist plus my unlistened podcasts, but I've set it to only sync checked items which are less than 10% of my total unlistened podcasts.

  • When I turn my computer on I receive a message that Apple wants to make a change to the hardware. I click on yes but nothing happens. I think this has something to do with Apple "push". I had a problem with this in iTunes when I tried to sync my iPod Touc

When I turn my computer on (Windows 7) I receive a message that Apple wants to make a change to the hardware. I click on yes but nothing happens. The change has something to do with Apple "push". I recently had a problem with"push" on iTunes when I tried to sync my iPod Touch. I have latest software for iTunes and iPod. Can anyone tell me what to do to get this change to install?

Since hardware cannot be changed with software, perhaps you would be so kind as to post the exact wording of the message?

  • HT1296 Have a problem with syncing. I get this message: The ipod Bill's Ipod" cannot be synced because there is not enough space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional 2.4GB required) I don't understand as I have much more space than 2

I recently ran into a problem with syncing my ipod touch to itunes on my Windows 7 pc. It had previously been synced to my older laptop
and I wanted to change to my newer Windows 7 laptop's itunes library that I had already been syncing with.
Anyway, I started seeing this message that prevents my from syncing:
The iPod "Bill's iPod" cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library
    (additional 2.48 GB required)
Not sure if it is talking about my iPod free space or my PC itunes library free space. Either way I have 11.0 GB free space available
on my iPod and 412 GB free space available on my Windows 7 PC.
How do I handle this problem?   Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks

It is saying that the iPod does not have enough free storage to sync all the items yu have selected to sync to the iPod. You need 2.48 GB more free on the iPod. You need either to select less to sync or delete some content form the iPod.

No, it does not.  It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer.  The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

Are they selected to sync?  Is Manually Manage content on the device selected?

What does that have to do with syncing content to the device?  FYI, nothing.

  • Ipod touch won't sync to itunes with OS X 10.6.3 I just installed

I just installed OS X 10.6.3 (snow leopard) and now my ipod touch is not syncing to itunes. Any ideas why?

Is your problem that you do not see your iPod in iTunes? If that is the case try these:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3540
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591
Also, make sure you update to the latest iTunes and Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard is now up to 10.6.5 and you said you only have 10.6.3.

  • Problems with syncing Ipad with ITunes: apps won't appear on Ipad and organizing icons won't save

I have a new Ipad 4 for three weeks. Yesterday I start having some problems with syncing my Ipad with ITunes (earlier all was without troubles):
    - downloaded in ITunes on PC apps won't transfer to my Ipad - I press Apply and sync, it goes successfully, but apps won't appear on Ipad.
    - I tried organizing icons on Ipad from PC, press Apply and sync, it all goes succesfully, but on Ipad icons won't rearrange. But ITunes shows that they are rearranged...
    - also I tried syncing my books adding one new book, press sync all books, and new book won't appear. Only when I've chosen every book separately, they transfered.
    I use USB for this.
I tried resetting my Ipad, reinstalling ITunes on PC, deauthorizing and authorizing my computer, but it didn't help.
Apple ID are the same on PC and Ipad.
I hope that I'm not the only one with this problem. And also forgive my mistakes if there are any - English is not my native language. Thank you!

I know that it is time consuming and a bit of a pain in the butt to have to do it, but I would backup the iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore from the backup, and sync everything back to the device. It's going to take a while because you have a ton of music on the iPad, but IMO, that would be your best option now.
You could try unsyncing all of the music, and then resync it all again, but that takes time as well. If you are going to spend that much time trying to fix it, you may as well restore the device ...IMO once again.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

  • I have problems with sync ibooks from iTunes to my iPad since i update to ios7

i have problems with sync ibooks from iTunes to my iPad since i update to ios7

first you plug your device into your computer, then you select the name of your device on the left side of itunes. then you select 'apps' from the top center of the itunes window, and you check the apps that you want to go from the computer to the device
once you've done that, you press the 'apply' button in the lower right corner
this will be the same for anything you want to go from the computer to the device
you'll select the appropriate tab at the top, then only check information you want to go from the computer the device and then hit 'apply'

  • Problems with Syncing two different libraries on one mac

Ever since I downloaded itunes 11 onto my mac I am having problems with syncing.  We have two libaries on our mac and can still easily move between the two, each keeping our own playlists, and music/podcast libaries.  The problem is with the syncing to our ipods. The playlists stay separated, but unfortunately the sync update pulls both music libraries and puts it on each of our ipods.  Having very different music tastes, this is a drag.
A second issue - there is still that problem of having issues with purchased music not staying in playlists (on ipod) after syncing.
I've tried looking around the itunes tutorials and articles but wasn't having luck.  any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, in case it matters, one of us is using an Iphone and the other an ipod touch.

you might have to find a third party program to get those songs off her ipad onto the computer, apple doesnt support that unless they are purcahsed from itunes store because of DRM (Digital Rights Media) another word for copy write. so theres not a whole lot of hope for that, but you can always create a new user on your computer
>user>+ icon>Create new user make it admin
-if they are how ever purchased from itunes you would still make that new user, plug the device into itunes and authorize the computer by clicking store on the top of your screen where file edit and view are, Store>authorize this computer
once thats done you'll then plug that device in to the computer and on the left side of itunes you'll see devices and "Device name" the device its self, right click or control click the name and choose transfer purchases, anything that has ever been purchased of gotten for free will sync onto the computer,
you cant just simplay pull the songs off the device to the computer, doesnt work like that
