Touch screen active when bluetooth device connects. help!!!
Hi had my z2 for about a month now, very pleased with it so far but there is one issue i keep finding that i have narrowed down.
I keep finding my phone will do random things in my pocket when out and its really frustrating i had tried changing lots of settings todo with the screen as i thought it was when i got a notification it would wake the phone and my leg would simulate screen presses.
That isnt the case however. I have narrowd it down to when i get in my car and the bluetooth connects to my car radio it makes the touch screen active, the screen does not light up but if you touch it as it connects it will wake the phone.
Has anyone heard of this or have a solution (please dont say turn bluetooth off)
its really annoying me and spoils a otherwise almost perfect phone.

The only other thing you can do is change the lock screen security as Swipe to unlock and attatching a bluetooth device like in your car will unlock the phones lock screen

I was using iPod touch before and I bougth new iPhone 5S.I change my apple id.Now I can't syncronize my library and my new device. I deleted old one but nothing change.I can't only add music,videos etc in library when my device connected.I tried to delete iTunes and set up again but it doesn't work. You reinstalled an old version of iPhoto after you updated your library to the newer version.
Update ALL your software and try again.
Click the Apple Menu at the upper left-hand corner of your screen and select "Software Update..."
Repeat until it tells you there are no more updates.
AND, launch the App Store application located in your Applications folder to see if there are any updates there as well. -
I am having trouble with the touch screen. When I press - on the glass surface sometimes it doesn't respond back. I updated my software.

Disable bluetooth "Device Connected" and "Device Disconnected" notification
Hi there.
Is there a way to stop the bluetooth "device connected" and "device disconnected" notification from appearing in the middle of the screen?
Logically this notification should be optional and disabled out of the box just like other hardware notifications (network, printer, hard disk etc..).

Ipod Touch can't find Bluetooth device. (Jam Box)
Upgraded Itunes software did a backup and restore on the Ipod.
My PC sees Jam Box fine. IPod used to work with JamBox. Reset Jambox, no luck.
Followed every instruction from the forums. Still no luck.

OS X crashing on reboot when USB Bluetooth device connected
After a very recent SW update to 10.4.5 OS X is crashing on reboot with a black screen of death when USB Bluetooth D-Link DWB-120M is connected. Crash is systematic if bluetooth device is connected. How do I correct the situation to be able to make use of the bluetooth USB device?

IPod Touch 1G "touch-screen freeze" after Wi-Fi connect (since 1.1.4) + log
Hi everybody,
I have a big problem with the touch-screen since approximately 2 months.
The problem is:
1. I turn on my iPod Touch 1G (Firmware 3.0), works
2. I activate my Wi-Fi (it connects, wi-fi bar is visible), works
Then the real problem starts (mainly while and after using Safari, sometimes even without using it)
After a few seconds the iPod freezes.
The strange thing is, only the touch-screen itself seems to be "deactivated"
If I leave the iPod calm for some minutes I am able to "unlock" it again.
All in all it seems, that the iPod deactivates the touch-screen after being connected to the Internet, because if I turn off the Wi-Fi connection, everything works fine.
This problem appeared since firmware 2.0 (1.1.3 worked fine i think) and now I have 3.0 and it is still the same problem.
Already downgraded, upgraded, jailbreaked, un-jailbreaked it. I tried everything.
Another solution to come to my Home-Screen is to Lock/Unlock a few times, sometimes this works.
I renewed the firmware more than once (10-15 times) and still do not ger rid of this problem. (Also in "recovery" mode)
Same thing with Youtube:
1. Starting Youtube
2. (If I am able to search a video) selecting a video
3. Video plays, but no touch-pad reaction anymore
I am not able to work with it anymore.
And I am sure it is a software problem, due to the fact the touch-screen reacts(!).
_A "forced restart" (Home + Lock Button hold for a few seconds) does not help, problem is still the same._

My apple devices all on iOS6.1.3 (iPhone 5, iPad 4 and iPod touch) won't find Bluetooth devices
My iPhone 5, my iPad 4th generation and my iPod touch will not find my Bluetooth panasonic speaker or any other Bluetooth devices that are switched on. They all have the iOS.6.1.3 software. When you turn on Bluetooth on any of these devices it just swirls around and doesn't continuously and never finds any devices despite my Panasonic Bluetooth speaker being available. Can anyone help or come up with any suggestions as to why all three of my devices cannot Find or connect to any Bluetooth device? Much appreciated!! Thanks!! X
Based on your explanation, it sounds like your Panasonic speaker and "any other Bluetooth devices that are switched on" are not in pairing mode when your iPhone, iPad, and iPod are looking for devices to pair with.
The most likely way to achieve your objective would be to cycle power on the Panasonic speaker and other devices at just about the same time as you start your Bluetooth pairing hunt on the Apple devices. In other words, turn on Bluetooth on, say, the iPhone and then quickly after that, cycle power on the Panasonic speaker. -
BB8520 keeps dropping my Bluetooth device connectivity
Been using the 8520 for a couple of weeks now. I have two ClearSounds CLA7BT hearing aid neck loops that I use for talking on my 8520. My hearing is so bad, this is about the only way I can talk on a phone other than using the speaker all the time. I switch between the two units as the power runs dry. In other words, I use one until it needs recharging, then use the other while the first one is charging, etc.
Here's my problem: The 8520 will automatically pair with which ever neck loope I turn on, but within 20 or 30 minutes it will drop the connection. I can re-pair it just fine, but it will drop it again just liek before. The one common thing I've found is this only seems to occur when the neck loops have less than a 50% charge in them.
The neck loops are for audio devices with the pairing device using BT v1.2 or v2.1
Just to add one last tidbit of information: Up until I moved to the 8520 a couple of weeks ago, I had been using an iPhone 3G. In the little over a year I used the iPhone I never had this, so I doubt it is a neck loop hardware issue.
Any ideas?I am not aware of any security feature added to Bluetooth to prevent hacking. There is no setting that you can control as far as Bluetooth profiles are concerned anyway.
What troubleshooting have you tried, besides turning Bluetooth off and then back on? Have you attempted to forget the keyboard on the phone and then put the keyboard back into discovery mode and pair again? Are you having any issues with any other Bluetooth devices failing like this?
Standard user troubleshooting for the iPhone is restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If nothing helps, then you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar. -
My little square touch screen iPod nano is frozen - need help!

my iPod nano is like the little square touch screen thing....
just now I just connect it to my laptop...
then I open iTunes and stuff....but...suddenly my laptop got jam...
and my iPod is showing the home screen..
by mistake....I open photos.....and its frozen till now
I try to turn it off...but it didn't work...
the battery icon is on charge although I unplug the USB....
anyone have any idea to fix my iPod back...

the day that my iPod frozen....I live it until the batteries run out..
so...I restart it and it works like normal....well,almost normal
ok...now my iPod can turn on...but...something else is wrong...
when ever I press photos....it restart to the apple logo...
so...I press photos again...and it keeps restarting to apple logo
I try restored it....it say's "The iPod software update server could not be contact"
my network connection is good...
I don't know what to do...
but the music in my iPod can play like normal...
so...any other words that you can give...

6234 Phantom calls when Bluetooth is connected
As they say acroos the pond- go figure I am sitting in my car talking to someone face to face, who happens to be the last number I dialled. I start my car up which has a Pama Bluetooth kit and her phone starts ringing...... and my phone had called it. My phone was in the "cup holder" so no way was it physically touched. Checking the call logs confirms the dialled and recieved call. This is not the first time this has happened- any ideas ?? Is there actually a firmware bug in this phone?
I would tend to think that the car kit is at fault. It sounds like when you switch on the ignition it sends the last no. redial signal to the phone. The equivalent in Nokia car kits such as CK-7W/20W is pushing the control button twice. Can you try pairing another phone with your kit so it is active when you turn on the ignition? If the same happens with another phone then the kit is to blame.
The only other thing I thought of was whether it happened at exactly the same time as you started the ignition. My other wild theory is, is there a voice tag for your friend in your phone? Perhaps you said her name during the conversation? That's my best guess although why it would call her without you instigating the procedure in some way is still a mystery...
