Touch screen Lumia 625

I've replace a cracked touchscreen in NCC, after that there is problem with my screen i.e:
1. Blank screen while on call, (bright sensor work fine)
2. double tap wake up not function
3. message notification wont work when tap it not showing the message.
I was figuring what cause of it. it used to be working before replacing a new touchscreen and even the touchscreen cracked.
I also have change the touchscreen twice.
and now my phone still in the NCC, approx fiinish within a month. it makes me miss my phone, why it take so long.
any suggestion?

Hi, Khushi6. Have you tried adjusting the Touch sensitivity? If it's set to normal, try setting it to high. Let us know if there's any difference or if the performance has improved.
BTW, since you have updated the device to WP 8.1, resetting the device is our option given that the above steps didn't work. Go to Settings > about > reset your phone. As this will delete all the files on your phone, please create a backup copy of your files first. Go to Settings > backup to do this. Once you performed the hard reset, you don't need to worry as the phone will still have the Lumia Cyan update. However, you may need to update the system apps on your device. Only some parts of the screen don't show a touch reponse.Otherwise the screen is perfect.i restarted the phone but it doesn't help.
Some points on the screen are not reacting to touch.

P.S. I have not upgraded to 8.1, is that the reason?

Install all software updates available for your handset and if the problem persists take the phone to your nearest Nokia Care point, as it probably will be a hardware fault.

LUMIA 625 FRONT GLASS LENS TOUCH SCREEN DIGITIZER ...

Hi Guys,
I own a nokia lumia 625 oct 2014 manufactured phone.
Yesterday accidentally it falled and the "FRONT GLASS LENS" broke.
Currently the the phone is working and the touch screen is also working.i can even able to play games with that.
But the Front glass screen has got cracks it it.
Do i need to replace only the "FRONT GLASS LENS" or "TOUCH SCREEN DIGITIZER" also ?
i just wanted to know the cost of "FRONT GLASS LENS FOR NOKIA LUMIA 625" and "TOUCH SCREEN DIGITIZER"

So yep.. You need to go with buying the glass which includes the digitizer. It comes together and cannot be separated. That is the only componet you need to buy. There is no need to replace the display/LCD as that will just extend the overall costs uselessly. Your display is pretty fine and as you say, original.
Buy the digitizer along with the plastic frame as it is a very tough task toi reuse the original frame.
Summing it up, I would recommend going the official Nokia Care way.If there's no such service available to you, buy a digitizer from an authentic source (ensure it is high quality) and replace it yourself or pay a local technician to do that.

Nokia Lumia 520 - Screen Cracked, Touch Screen not...

The other day I accidentaly dropped my 520 in the street. The screen has a large thin crack from the top left corner to about the middle right of the screen. I can live with the crack, it's barely noticable, as it looks like a hair on the screen. However, the touch screen doesn't work either, which is quite a problem.
I've looked online and I have seen Screen Digitizers, which I believe are the glass screens which contain the touch technology. However, will I need to order anything else?

i have had my nokia lumia for 6 months and the screen cracked randomly in my coat pocket the other day,
as its touch screen i cannot use it at all.
I went back to carphone warehouse and they said i should contact nokia for help.
He also said the phone isnt a high end phone and doesnt have gorilla glass like the iphones.
I was a bit annoyed to hear that as i had assumed all phones had toughed glass and they recommened I just buy a new phone.

Lumia 720 Touch screen error

Hi everyone!
So, my lumia 720's touch screen is not respondig. I tried to reboot my pohne. The result is, that it was hard to enter the SIM PIN, because the screen won't respond again. After I succeed to enter the pin code, I had to enter my lock screen code. BUT: the lock screen is jumping up an down permanently...so it's impossible to enter the code...
OK, I've look after soft/hard reset...
I have done both of them...but still have the error...
Anyone knows something?????????

sounds like a hardware problem. so when u mean soft / hard reset.. u already restore factory settings? still the same?
if you haven't yet.. try connecting the fone to the pc via usb.. so u may try to backup the files u have in there before clearing everything.
i have a 720 but that never happen to mine yet. it does hang a bit but i just power cycle the unit, she's good to go.

NOKIA Lumia 710: Touch screen focus no longer work...

Hello.
I've only had my Lumia 710 for two weeks. Up until 4 days ago, the touch screen focus attribute was working perfectly. I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.
I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.
Aside from having to do a hard reset, does anyone have any suggestions regarding how to possibly fix this?
Maybe I'm missing an obvious and simple setting? Maybe not. Lol

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Normally Nokia Lumia 710 should focus on the part you tap with your finger (and show a reticle while doing so) and snap a picture. There is no setting to switch this off, so it should be working by default. We would advise you to reset your phone at Settings > About > Reset your phone. Just remember to backup your media files before doing so, because it will wipe your phone clean. If the issue persists, visit your local Nokia Care point and let them have a look.

Glance Screen for Lumia 625

Hello. I just bought this monster phone, the Lumia 625. I'm kinda wondering why it does not have the glance screen on it? Is it available for installation?

Why is it so crucial?
Well, as far as I know any other mobile phone manufacturer doesn't have that feature so that's really setting those Lumia phones apart from other phone models, whether it's iPhone or Android.
I'm almost happy with my Lumia 930 and Icon but there are two mistakes Nokia did when they released those models:
1) glance is missing. OK, it would've costed more money to order those kind of displays from the subcontractor but it sure would've been worth every penny even though the phone would've been more expensive. Just look at the prices of iPhone 6. Just would've had to set the price below iPhone (to gain more market share within global mobile phone market) and advertise the glance. That's a brilliant feature and I miss it. But like they say "minimum effort, maximum gain"...
2) 41MP camera and xenon flash. Should've Lumia 930 been equipped with the similar camera & flash & glance like Lumia 1020, it would've been the greatest phone Nokia has ever released. Bigger display, quad-core processor etc. compared to Lumia 1020.
I sincerely hope Microsoft would combine all those aforementioned great features in one of them future phone models. Until then, IMO Lumia 1020 is the best phone Nokia/Microsoft released. 41MP camera, xenon flash, glance and the one of the easiest phone models to replace the screen/display if it gets broken

Touch screen not functional (Lumia 800)

I'm not sure what happened but my touch screen isn't functional. Buttons work but the touch screen is not opperating like it should. I had plenty of battery life left. I tried restarting it a few times, but the touch screen won't work. I had this phone for a month and it's driving me crazy w/ these problems. I'm in the process of charging the phone, hopefully that helps.

Lumia 625 glance screen

When i have bought nokia Lumia 625 it comes with Lumia amber update. And now i have updated to Lumia black update. In my Lumia 625 no glance screen before black update or after black update.

It cannot be prevented. The phone does not have the hardware required for the feature to work.

Lumia 2520 keyboard and touch screen won't match

I have a very strange problem with my Lumia 2520. I bought the keyboard for my Lumia 2520 and for a while everything worked well. But now more often than not I can no longer use the normal touch screen at all - or the keyboard. If I start the tablet without the keyboard, it might not respond to normal usage via touch and I actually have to insert the tablet into keyboard to have any use for it at all. And sometimes even when the tablet is inserted in the keyboard the keyboard won't respond and the only way to get the blasted thing to work is to use the touch screen.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of trouble? If so, did you simply recover the factory settings and start from there? Or what else did you do?

Have you tried restarting the phone? Press and hold the power and volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release it and the phone will restart. Note that only the date and time will be changed. By the way, check also that your SIM card is fully inserted and do not use SIM cards that have been modified to fit the SIM slot.

Lumia 720 touch screen problem Bought Today!!!!!!

Earlier today I bought a Lumia 720 on contract with o2, I got home and turned the phone on. Everything seemed fine as I set up my microsoft etc. However I noticed it began to open tiles itself. When I was using the phone the screen would change like, well like somebody else was using it too. I went on calculator and when I took my hands away from the touchpad I noticed that something was setting off the touch screen, setting off all of the buttons on the calculator. It looks like something is setting off the touch screen without anything actually being near. I have factory reset the phone but it still continues. I will return the phone to o2 if I can't find a solution.

Just return it back to the store ASAP thats what id do.

Lumia 920 device touch screen is locked.

A call is being charged while the phone is running and has Lumia920. but it was not to react to the touch during charging. Although you need to work very well Unfortunately, the touch screen does not respond.

Lumia 625 "hangs" for 10-15 minutes and then resta...

Hi,
Just purchased a new Nokia Lumia 625 on 27 August 2013. From the afternoon of 28th the phone would hang and no activity can be performed on it. After about 10-15 minutes it will start by showing NOKIA -> Windows Phone -> normal screen. This has happened four times since then. My concerns:
1. How do I prevent it from "hanging"?
2. How do I restart it when it hangs?
3. Unable to remove the battery so as to allow it to reboot as the batteries are screwed to the body. By removing the battery it should be easier to reboot the phone.
4. Surprised at this behaviour within 48 hours of purchase.
I shall appreciate a solution for this issue.

I think its a common problem with lumia 625.
Same experience for me on a new phone brought in amazon.com.
Same day 10-15 times hanged and had issue with even restart. Screen gets dead and it switch off as it wish .
Night phone was on with full charge morning i saw it was switched off.
The worst part is replace did not happen in nokia care as it was purchased from net .
This means they dont support / replace if its purchased from other sources.
I was really dissaponted with quality and performance of product from nokia.
Better go for andriod device where atleast all basic things works. Micromax phones are far far far better than this.
I belive windows still in the reboot and restart mode, please come out of it and give some simple and working product.

Lumia 625 GDR3 Not getting Lumia Black

Hi,
I updated my Lumia 625 3 weeks ago to GDR3 and it was supposed to update to Lumia black as well. However i didnt get the black update. the extras+info still shows amber however i received all the GDR3 options like screen orientation lock and closing the apps with the x button in multitasking window. I attached for you the screenshot of the "About Phone" showing that i have the latest OS version which i compared with my other Lumia 925 and it is the same.
I've been trying to update in "Phone Update" for the past weeks and it is always showing that my phone is up to date. iI also checked nokia support page for my country Lebanon and it is showing as available. we do not have any carrier branded phone here so it is a SIM free phone.
Please help!!!
