Touch screen response

Hello everyone. I have had my BBPB since about June and have used it almost everyday. Just a couple weeks ago the touch screen started acting up and not responding like it should. Its slow and takes several touches to register my entry. Sometimes the entry is not the button I had even selected. I have done the security wipe and reloaded the base software. I waited for the next software update and installed it in hopes the problem would go away but it didn't work... Im running 1.0.7.2942
Can somebody help??

only thing i have heard is maybe strong magnetic fields near by, if this is not the case then maybe you have faulty hardware

  • IPod touch 3rd generation has dim screen and no touch screen response. I've replaced the digitizer and the screen. I've also reset it and did a complete restore still nothing. Is there any way to fix this myself? Does it just need a new memory board?

My 3rd gen iPod touch has a very dim/dark screen and no screen response. I've restored it, still nothing, put a new screen and digitizer and still nothing. I've reset it a 1000 times and nothing works. Is there a way to fix this? It previously had "activation required" on the screen but now it just says "ipod" what do I do now?

Could be due to many things. You could have damaged something during the screen replacement. I would take it to someone with more experience.

  • New iPad inconsistent touch screen response?

    Hello all:
The touch screen seems to behave differently in some apps: The Paris RATP Metro
for instance has a map you can point to a metro stop and its picked up and
entered into another tab to find a route or schedule.
In this app and a few others, you can touch a stop again and again and nothing
happens. This is despit wetting the finger tip, pressing harder, moving the
    fingertip areound, etc.
After many tires it finally works,
In the majority of apps it never does this.
Anyone else seen this behavior? If yes, what apps did it and is there a fix?
I am trying to see if the app, the iPad design or a bad touch screen.
    Kind Regards,
    Jon

Have you tried any basic troubleshooting steps. Close all of your apps and restart your iPad. Try rebooting the iPad as well. It might just be a memory issue .... Maybe .... But start with the simple steps.
Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • ITouch touch screen response

I upgraded to the 32GB Touch and picked up a good mount for my Harley's handlebars to replace the one I had for my old 80GB Classic. I found out that the Touch won't respond if you are wearing gloves. It works great for bare fingers, which will be 90% of the time I'm on my bike so it's not a huge deal to me but according to the Touch tech specs, it's supposed to have a extremely well built touch screen. Shouldn't it respond to pressure and not just bare skin ?

When restoring to factory defaults/new iPod fails to resolve a problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple Store.

  • 5800 touch screen response

Sometimes Nokia 5800 touch screen does not work when I get an incoming call and press the accept button.
Did anybody share the same experience ?
Does anybody has any solution to offer?
    Plz suggest

Sometimes I need to touch it more than once, but it usually works. This happens less often since updating to V31.
If I have helped you with your problem in some way, please take a little time and hit the kudos button in my post. Without your feedback, I don't know if I am being helpful or should just be put out to pasture.

  • HT201406 Touch screen response trouble

My iPod touch isn't picking up when I try to enter the '2' in my passcode, and it doesn't pick up 1 or 3 either.  Is there any way for me to fix it without having to go to an Apple store? Thanks!

You can try following along with this Apple doc -> iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting touchscreen response
If that doesn't do it, take it to a Genius.

  • Touch screen not working on Ideapad 11s

I just got my factory-refurbished Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 11s in the mail from Newegg today. I booted it up, everything works great except I am getting zero touch screen response. I looked at some other discussions and couldn't' find anything quite like this, it sounds like most of the problems were resulting after a few minutes of no touch input, whereas I am getting no responsiveness whatsoever from the get-go. So far I've tried restarting the computer, restarting 'ymc' in services within the Task Manager, and also tried adjusting the power saver settings on the USB Devices in the Human Interface portion of Device Manager. Does anyone have any further input on this? Thanks.

    Hi Hannah,
if its a factory-refurbished unit and the touch keyboard won´t work.
I would suggest to do all Windows updates. If the problem remain send it back to the reseller, because it seems defect.
    Best

  • My iPod Touch 3rd Gen is having problems with the touch screen being unresponsive, too responsive, freezing and constantly resizing. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

My iPod Touch (3rd Gen) is having problems with the touch screen being unresponsive, too responsive, freezing and constantly resizing. It varies between not responding when I tap the screen and acting as if I double-tap or tap and hold when I tap. Every so often it freezes for a minute or so and then comes back. The scren is constantly changing sizes too such that I often can't see most of the top status bar or other edges. This makes typing almost impossible, ruins most games and generally makes everything difficult, but otherwise the iPod is working correctly. Powering off, shutting down apps, letting it sit have not worked. This has happened once before months ago, but the issue resolved itself somehow. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

    Try this for the freezing

Or if they don't work put it into recovery mode
    See here

    Then restore

There is no way to downgrade to a different iOS. Apple does not support downgrading. See this link regarding speeding up the iPhone 4. http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/23/ios-7-slow-speed-it-up/

  • HT201412 Touch screen input not responsive.

Touch screen input not responsive. Cannot slide to power off. Appear message "iCloud Backup: This ipad hasn't been backed up in 2 week. Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to wi-fi" Touch OK but nothing change. Does follow instruction but nothing works

    Thank you for your help.
I did all of trouble shooting procedures but it did not work.
I called Apple Care and explained what kind of problem i had and they booked me up with Genius Bar @ Apple Retail Store.
I went to them last Saturday and they replace my troubled iPhone with the new.
they said it is very rare problem reported so far and i could be the first few ones.
it was no hassle and they all were very kindly listened to me.
anyway, problem solved with replacement and i was lucky to have back up for iPhone.
Anyone has same problem, call 800-MY-IPHONE and book yourself to nearest Genius Bar to get your iPhone served or replaced.
    thanks

  • No response from touch screen since iOS 6.0.1 update

I updated my new iPhone 5 to iOS 6.0.1 the day that it came out, and since then - i have had 2 different incidents where the touch screen had no response. The first time was just when i was using different apps (not on a phone call) - and the 2nd time just happened to me not long ago where i was just trying to hang up from a phone call, and it wouldn't let me "End Call".
I was able to hit the home button and the phone responded to that, but then it wouldn't let me touch the screen to go back to this call that i was trying to end in the first place.
Is anyone else having a problem with the touch sensitivity of their iPhone since the update to iOS 6.0.1?

I have not seen your problem rep[orted here before.
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Touch screen not responsive for droid 2

The touch screen on my phone only works when I slide it open. can't unlock phone without sliding it open. very frustrating

That's very frustrating to have a non responsive touch screen. Have you removed the battery and retested? Did this start after a application was downloaded? Please back up your information on the device thru Google and then master reset the device. Click here for reset instructions. If that doesn't fix the problem please PM me and I will troubleshoot with you further.
    Thank you
