Touch screen won't touch

I am not sure if this is the right group for this.
I purchased a touch screen desktop monitor L12341wt at Best Buy.  It was shipped because they were out of stock at that location.  It works fine except that it is not "touch."  In other words nothing happens when I try to swipe, etc.
I called them and they said it was an issue with Lenovo which mislabels their monitors with wrong model numbers, etc. They warned me that even if I have them replac e it with a rehsip, the same issue may occur.
I would be better off going back to Best Buy but it is two hours away.
Any solution to this?
Many thanks,.

The only download I can find at the moment is the User Guide:

Out of curiosity, have you followed the cable connection / power-up sequence as shown on page C-2 exactly as described? Seems to be pretty specific in order to have the touchscreen recognized as a USB device.
Connect the cables and switch on power in the following order:
• Connect the video cable from the computer to the monitor.
• Connect power to the monitor and switch on.
• Connect power to the computer and switch on.
• Connect the USB cable from the touch screen to the computer. Once the cable is connected, the computer automatically detects the USB device (the touch screen) and, aftera short pause, displays a series of messages on screen.
Hope this helps.

IOS7 installed OK to my iPhone 4S and worked OK for a while but I have somehow managed to completely jam my iPhone 4s. The touch screen won't work except for up and down gestures (some of the time). I can't make or answer calls, I can't even power if off. I can't access the hardward ID which Apple support seems to require for Chat.
It might have happened when I was accessing my camera bypassing the lock screen!
All I know is that the thing is now useless and it looks like I will have to wait for the battery to run down to see if powering it back up afterwards will solve the problem.

I have since discovered the "hold down home key and power button" together for a few seconds and this seems to have worked .... phew!

  • HT1222 Just upgraded now my touch screen won't work?

    Just updated iOS to 6.1.3.
Now my touch screen won't respond..?

    Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • My Ipod touch screen won't stay on.  Right after turning the Ipod on it goes fuzzy even after a full charge.  Is this due to battery problems?

Is this is sign the battery is a problem?   Clicking sounds are also not working despite being tunred on, as well as the speaker.

  • Ipod 3rd Gen Touch screen won't rotate to landscape

My Ipod Touch 3rd Gen froze in middle of the screen rotating to landscape mode one day. After having to restart it the screen won't rotate all the time now, just whenever it chooses to. I checked and the screen lock is off.  I've restored it and it worked once then went right back to the problem, same as if I reset or turn it off. I'm starting to think something got corrupted after it froze and then I reset it.

I think the highest I've dropped it from is maybe 3 feet but it still worked fine. When it froze I had it in landscape then flipped it to normal, put it on a JVC dock the went to flip it into landscape again to play a video at which point it just froze. Then I restarted it and it's been deciding when it wants to rotate. As if right now I have he newest OS and it's curretly working. It may be fixed or it may be a trap. I'll keep an eye on it for today then see of it still ends up don the smas thing.

  • Lumia 2520 keyboard and touch screen won't match

I have a very strange problem with my Lumia 2520. I bought the keyboard for my Lumia 2520 and for a while everything worked well. But now more often than not I can no longer use the normal touch screen at all - or the keyboard. If I start the tablet without the keyboard, it might not respond to normal usage via touch and I actually have to insert the tablet into keyboard to have any use for it at all. And sometimes even when the tablet is inserted in the keyboard the keyboard won't respond and the only way to get the blasted thing to work is to use the touch screen.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of trouble? If so, did you simply recover the factory settings and start from there? Or what else did you do?

    Hi Tiriol,
    Welcome to the forum!
Did something happen to the tablet or keyboard before this issue came up? Make sure that your Lumia 2520 running the latest software. You can check this link for the steps on updating the Lumia 2520's software: Software Update for Nokia Lumia tablet with Windows RT.
Hope to hear your feedback soon.

  • Encore WT8 touch screen won't work, prevents me from logging in

I have just bought this tablet but it is a Dabs refurbished model, so not sure of its history. I went through the setup process and brought it on holiday. I discovered that once it was setup, every time it went into sleep mode or was powered off, the touch screen became unresponsive after it powered back up. I don't have an OTG cable, or a keyboard/mouse for that matter. In a small town where it won't be possible to buy one. May just have to wait until I get back and can use a cable and keyboard to log in. Not sure what the pattern is but from time to time, it has reacted to touch and allowed me to log in. When it did, I performed all windows updates, including drivers that were suggested. I have an old XP laptop which I am using now and once when I plugged it in via USB, it got the screen working for long enough to let me log in but that won't work now.  I tried to log in from my Lumia using RDP but it says it can't. May just be the version of 8.1 that's on the tablet.  I can get into the BIOS menu and the touch screen works in there. It is at V2.00 and the tablet is a PDW0AE-00900PEN Any other suggestions or should I give up and enjoy my holiday?

The screen rotates as normal. I tried resetting the device but it doesn't work. In the device manager, it shows that the I2C HID device has a problem. It fails to start. This doesn't change after a reset. I dug a little deeper and the driver is hidi2c.sys. There doesn't seem to be a newer version of the driver. I did some reading and found people commenting that Toshiba aren't very good at fixing this sort of driver issue. it also may be that a windows update has caused a conflict which may be fixed by Microsoft. Either way, I can't see any way for me to fix this besides resetting my tablet to factory and preventing windows updates. I may do that once I am somewhere with more resources around me.

  • My IPad touch screen won't respond to my touch. Any ideas?

I used my IPad this morning to check my internet. When I came home this afternoon, there is a message that says IPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this IPad is plugged in, locked and connected to wifi. I have plugged it in and it is connected to wifi. I try to tap the ok button under the message, but it won't go away, and I can't swipe the screen to actually use my IPad. Ideas on how to get the screen to work?

    Hey gnuz,
There's a bunch of people having this problem since iOS 8 came out. It seems to be affecting iPhones, but perhaps the iPad is having the same issue.
    Check out this post:

Hopefully a fix can be released by Apple soon.

  • Touch screen won't work, and it's on lock

I have this ipod that I've been trying to fix for someone, as well as load up songs from itunes. I've successfully synced songs to it to it's full capacity (8G). However, when it was done, I ejected it and tried to listen to it to see if it was working properly. The screen is locked, as well as the touch screen isn't working as if it's completely dead. I've never had this problem as I am familiar with Ipod Touches and Nanos. Does anyone have any remedies or suggestions?? Gonna try other things in the meantime.

Hi Wazzup483, Im having the same problem you had. Screen locked, touch screen not responding and it won't stop playing music. It licked while I was listening to music. Took out my pocket and it was locked, guess I hit something.
    HELP :o)
    Thanks

  • Nano 6G touch screen won't respond after restore

I have 6th Gen Nano. I can't get my touch to work at all. The swipe won't work, tap and double tap won't work. It is about 1 year old and I have had no real trouble up until today!
I was forced to restore because the battery ran out completely and then the ipod wasn't recognised when I plugged into my laptop for a charge and update of download of latest podcasts.
I didn't want to restore, but was forced to. It deleted everything. Then itunes arbitrarly decided what to include when it synched. None of my podcasts are on there, only music. I want podcasts!
Very frustrated. This is my second ipod and I won't be purchasing another. I hate that I can't turn it off completely.
Can anyone help? I have referred to all the Help manuals with no success.

This is happening to some iPhone 5 users as well. Seems to be related to the iOS 8.0 update.

  • My touch screen won't work when I wan to listen to music.

When I try t scroll or touch any buttons while in the "Music" option, I can't do anything. The touch screen works for absolutely everything else, but the Music. Has anyone else had this problem?

Scroll where? What buttons are you trying to activate? When you double click the Home button you can only use the bottom row, that is where the Music controls are located. You can't activate the top part of the screen

  • Inaccurate touch screen won't calibrate!

My touch screen works perfectly when the screen is in it's open, upright position.  When I twist the screen and lay it flat, the touch function becomes very inaccurate, always leaning towards the center of the screen so that I cannot get to any corner/edge of the screen.
I'm running Windows 7 (32 bit) on my Tx2510us, and have updated all of my drivers.  I have tried to calibrate the screen so many times...in it's open position, in it's locked down position, etc.
    Any ideas?

    hullabaloo,
Are you storing it near any magnets? For example closure on a case, in a purse with a magnetic closure, magnetic money clip, etc.
If so, try moving it away from the magnets for about an hour and see if the screen becomes responsive again. If it is still not responding, I would recomend seeing about having your iPhone service either through your nearest Apple Retail store or by contacting AppleCare.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.
