Touch Select Button not work

Well this thing just will not work and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. Here is the problem.
Music loads fine. Music will play fine.
However, when I go to the menu, and press the middle button, or any button that is suppose to select a menu option such as Music Library, Photos, Video ETC...it doesn't go there..it just goes to Now Playing and picks a random song from the album of the day and plays it. It does this EVERYTIME.
I bought the thing about 8 months ago, and I never used it once I just found a use for it so am desperately wanting to get it working and it won't.
Is this a common problem with an easy fix? What do I do? I tried doing the thing where you hold the power button and press the reset button to reformat or something, and I can get there but the select button doesn't work so I can't select it! But in turn I know the select button DOES work as when I press it it plays a song..just seems screwed up.
PLEASE HELP!

Try Restoring it. If that doesn't work you need to have it serviced. You can either take it by an Apple Store and make a Genius Bar appointment or send it here:

I have used this tool successfully on a previous PC , but I can't get it work on my new one. I have XP and IE 7 installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted and still the same problem.

I seemed to have fixed my issue, you might want to try this.
In Internet Explorer select Tools select Manage Add-ons select Enable or Disable Add-ons and besides enabling Show or HIde HP Smart Web Printing, enable HP Smart BHO Class as selecting this last Add-on cured the problem and the button converted to a cross bar

Acrobat X Pro - "Select" Button Not Working In IE8

Windows XP, IE8, Acrobat X Pro
The "Select" button on the toolbar was working initially. I didn't use it for a while. Then when I went to use it again, it doesn't work. The button "clicks" (toggles lighter and darker) when clicked, but nothing happens when you try to select things, everything just behaves as if Select is not active.
Is this a known problem? Is there a fix?
I love the Select feature, and would love to get it back.

GT70 Dominator Pro touch panel buttons not working

They were working fine for about 3 days, then I tried to turn on the fan boost while playing Bioshock Infinite and the computer turned off suddenly. Now none of the touch panel buttons work after about 1 minute of the computer being turned on. I tried unplugging and re-seating the battery but nothing happened.

does the AC charger was attached when you played this game?
if so, then your notebook has issue, probably overheating since its self turning off

Ipod touch home button not working after upgrade

Hi,
The home button on my 1st generation ipod touch stopped working after upgrading the software a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone else come across this issue? Is it possible to downgrade the software? I have tried restoring the ipod with no luck.

thanks for the reply. Tried both of what you suggested, also tried the home button thing only working while plugged in with two computers and two different leads which is why I suspect is an operating system thing.
I may try downgrading the operating system next, just have to find a copy of an old one somewhere.

I have an iPod 5th Generation and the home button is jammed down! It felt sticky earlier but now it's stuck down. I used it when the home button wasn't working and had to use my notifications to change from app to app (as I didn't know about assistive touch). I turned it off, but now the power button is no longer responsive! The button isn't stuck, but it doesn't work anymore. It was working fine before, but now it won't respond. Please help!

Depends on the damage. The battery came loose in my iPhone. When Apple opened the phone to redo the glue they discovered the speakers were also loose. Apple replaced the phone.

Yes, if you get it fixes, the iPod will likely be erased. Apple will not repair your old iPod, they exchange it for a refurbished one and do not transfer data.

Dear all,
I had the same issue with my nokia 5800, finally I found very interesting thing, I have been doing everything to bring my phone back to original condition where simply I can touch and access the phone.
Actually the issue was with the thin plastic piece which was put on the touch screen for its protection. I was struggling to touch and access the phone but i coudnt for almost 2 weeks, it was directing me to bottom left corner touch buttons of the phone and automatically opens and activate functional which I didn't want.
Solution was, I simply removed the thin plastic layer from the phone , Now it works fine.

I have bought three iPhone 6 one for me and one each for my two kids we have just done the update iOS 8.01 now all phone do not connect to service provider and touch id is not working , APPLE HELP !!!!

Apple just pulled the update because it is a major fubar! You will have to rollback your iPhone to the base iOS 8 using iTunes and Apple needs to seriously test its patches!
Update:
Simply connect your phone to iTunes and back up your data. Then, click the “Restore iPhone” button and follow the on-screen instructions. It’s a huge pain, but at least it’s better than having your shiny new iPhone turned into a big expensive iPod touch.
