Touch sensitive pad not responding

Hi,
I have a laptop Pavilion dv4-2145dx that is about 4 years old.  It has a touch sensitive panel for volume control and wireless.  Off late, the I cant operate these 'buttons' - they dot respond to touch or tap.  The wireless is Amber i.e. switched off and I cant switch it on using HP wireless assistant. The assistant says - wireless have been discabled by the wireless button.
How do I get the touch sensitive panel to work again?
How do I siwtch on the wireless?

I see you are having a difficulty with the wireless and the Touchsmart function.  Here is a link to the  HP Pavilion dv4-2145dx Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers where you can download the software and drivers for your system.  You can also run The HP Support Assistant to aid with updates and to help resolve issues.   You could also try running MS Fix It to help resolve difficulties.
You could also to a Windows restore back to a known good date.Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)
You can also do a recovery  Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7). During this process you will see a prompt to do a backup. If you have not done one yet, I recommend that you choose yes and do one now, to prevent data loss.

    I have the HP Officejet Pro 8600 and the touch pad will not turn on. The power is on! I actualy cannot turn it off by pressing the off button, even when I unplug it and plug it back in it is like it was never unplugged. This all started when I updated my MAC to the new operating system and then I noticed where the paper comes out there were blue blinking lights.     Welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see that you are having an issue with the touch pad not responding or lighting up.
    First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
    Once the printer is connected to a wall outlet, please  attempt to use the power button to turn the unit off and then back on again.  This will do a semi reset on the unit.
    If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

    iphone is diabled- connect to iTunes because i forget passcode.
    i cannot connect iTunes because it's always asking to enter passcode on iphone.
    So, i cannot make restore my iphone 6+. And then, I cann't erase "device" in icloud.
    My iphone is new. No icloud. didn't connect to itune backage.
    That's why I try to connect iTunes but it need to enter passcode.
    So, my iphone just keep "iphone is disbled-connect to iTunes".

    Portion of the iphone touch screen is not responding while typing (both horizontal and vertical). All other functions are O.K.  Is it LCD problem or any calibration problem ?  Some experts says the LCD screen is to be replaced ?

    basic troubleshooting steps from the User Guide are restart, reset and restore.  Have any of these been tried?

  • My phone freezes and the touch screen does not respond to my touch.

    My i-phone 4 has been freezing up on me as of late.  The buttons will still work but the touch screen does not respond to my touch.
    Is my phone hooped or can I do sometinhg to fix it?

    First thing to try is a reboot of your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPhone restart. See if that fixes your problem.

    My apple ipad touch screen is not responding it was working since few hours then that happened. There is no a single point on the responds to touch but everything is working on the welcome screen, detects  the Wi-Fi ... etc.
    First thing I did was passing on my local agent store. They did a soft reset what caused lose all data and apps (not a problem) but they didn't fix and asked to visit the support branch .. now i can't use the "Siri trick" and I think it's not helpful after resetting my device.
    I tried removing the screen protector but still no hope. Turned off it and cleaned the screen  but didn't help!!
    Is There another way? Any expected scenarios/time when I visit the repair branch in Egypt?
    I've upgraded to latest (7.12) 2 or 3 weeks ago

    I've mentioned that I did that now I'm in another stage, The iPad at the main reseller support department and they told me now that they will give me another in return .... the strange thing I have heard was that I have to wait 4 weeks until they get me one from Apple .. I'm i Egypt

    Did you try rebooting?
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
    Then test to see if it solved the problem.

    Hi,
    First, download the latest Synaptics driver installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50819.exe
    Next, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry 'Synaptics Pointing Device Driver' and select Uninstall.
    When this has completed, restart the notebook.
    When windows has fully reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click the Synaptics installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.
