Touch shows up in Devices on left side, but no subfolders-----????

I just purchased the 64g Touch. When I connect it to my laptop, it recognizes it as a camera, so I just ignore it and close those windows. But when it shows up in my iTunes Devices, there are no folders listed underneath showing what songs, videos, playlists, etc.
BUT---if I click and drag a song from my library to my Touch, those folders suddenly appear as soon as the song is dragged to it, but if I let go of my mouse button, POOF- gone! The song will be on the Touch, I can only tell if I look on it myself.
I'm manually syncing music. This after doing only checked songs so I can get a whole bunch on at one swoop. But, I unknowingly had a bunch of songs checked that I didn't want (like Hannah Montana, Cheetah Girls, you get the picture) so I would like to delete them from my Touch but I can't because I can't see the music folder under the Touch.
Please don't tell me I'm stuck with these tunes on my device. Hannah Montana I can live with some of them, but the Cheetah Girls.....I draw the line at that.

It does not work. I click on the little arrow and my touch disappears. I click it again, and it reappears. I still don't get the subfolders listing my music, videos, apps, etc. So I can't see what is on my Touch (with play counts). So what I did was just check off the tunes I want, unchecked what I don't want, and unchecked manually manage music and sync check songs and videos. That at least got what I wanted on and off. But this is a hassle. Why do I get the listings on my daughters Touch but not mine? We use the same account (it's mine), is it because mine is the newer 64g and I don't have that option anymore? If that is the case, I wish now I had just stayed with my little 2nd Gen Nano.

Resolved. Had to do with the wi-fi sync not being enabled.

When I try to sync my iPhone with iTunes on my PC, a screen comes up that has the music square icons with music notes in the squares. Not the home screen I am used to seeing that shows all categories on the left side.

When I plug my iPhone into PC to sync, I am getting a screen with music squares with notes in the icon. I was getting the iTunes home sync screen with the categories on the left side. And it had options along the top as sync items. It will sync, but I have no idea where the iTunes screen went.
I also will get an error message that says "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected". But, it does back up and it is connected. Any ideas out there as to what is going on and how I could fix this? Thanks.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

Showing the pages on the left side

When I open my adobe file, the pages on the left side (where the bookmarks are) are NOT showing. How do I get them to show please? Thank you.

Welcome to the discussions. The last time I replaced a toner cartridge, it turned out that the printer needed cleaning, not new toner. A thousand copies is not nearly full use of the cartridge you have.
Google the part number and you will find other suppliers. The last time I checked, they were $70 for that model.

Finally, many companies will refurbish your toner cartridge. Check the yellow pages of the phone book for the largest city near you.

How can I show my bookmarks on the left side of my screen while I am in gmail like i have on my win 7 system? my new system is win 8.1

On Win 7 my books always appear on left side of screen making it very convenient. On my Win 8.1 laptop I can't seem to make that happen.

Ipod touch shows up under devices on the left in itunes, but only shows "ipod" to the right

I have an ipod touch 4th generation 64 gb. I connected to iTunes using usb cord. normally, the device shows up in the left hand column of itunes. then on the right, you have the ipod info - summary- music- apps, etc. however, the only thing i get on the right is just the word "ipod" nothing else. no links or tabs or even a sync button. please help

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

Safari opening JPEG not at left side but at center

I am using Safari 6.2, OSX 10.8.5 on a MAC Book Pro.
Usually when I opened a JPEG image on a tab it was placed left of the window and now it is opening on the center.
How do I change to open at the left

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

if so simply add music, videos, etc to the ipod
it not click on the ipod tab on the top you should see
summary>apps>music>films>tv programmes>podcasts>books>photos>info>nike+ipod
you want to click on summary tab and click on the restore tab this will reset the ipod back to factory settings and let you set on the ipod again

At the screen, it display a message with OK at the right/left side but when I touch the bottom right/left side of the printier touch screen, there is no reaction, can someone tell me what to do. I see that you are having an issue with the touchscreen on the printer.
When this issue happens it is typically a power related issue. Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
I would also suggest that we run the HP Officejet Pro Firmware update.

My iPod touch shows no content for music and/or videos or downloaded apps after I upgraded to IOS v5.1.1

I downloaded the latest version of ios for my iPod Touch (v5.1.1) and my music, videos, books, and purchased apps don't appear. In the settings it shows I've only got 9.1 GB of space available out of 28.4 GB (my iPod is a 32 GB). Also, on the iTunes summary page for my iPod the usage bar at the lower portion of the page is all yellow showing 'other' when it use to be multi-color showing what content (apps, video, music, etc) was using up the capacity individually. When I click on the device icon (left side of the window) it indicates all of my music, apps, video, books, etc are on the iPod but they don't show up on the actual device. Also, the sync button (lower right on the summary page) is "greyed out" and won't let me sync. Thanks in advance. Terry

An "other" that large usually indicates that the "other" included corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
