Touch smart music app

is there any way to rebuild the library...i deleted a bunch of my itunes music and the songs are still showing up in the music app...ive tried changing the folders within the app but to no avail...cant seem to figure this out!

Hi adamj575:
Welcome to malware add ins. Disconect from the internet so these files can't reproduce as you delete them. Ounce you disconnect from the internet. Open up HP support Assistant and click on and run pc tune up and check mark all the boxes. So it can delete all your Temporary files and recycling bin. Then go back and delete music files. See if this keeps them from reappearing again. Then rerun your tune up again.
Then connect back up to Internet . This may help you in the future: Type wot in the Internet Explorer Browser and download the wot tool bar. This will help you choose witch websites are safe to download from. Easy to use just watch the color circle green is safe yellow is questionable and highly risky Red definitely avoid Gray has not been tested for a safe site.
For music files that keep repairing click on it and select properties and change it to read file only and then delete it. Or if that doesn't work. Open file it self and delete everything inside it individually then close it delte the file itself. Make sure you empty recycling bin each time. You mave have to go into safe mode to this. Nothing like chasing down malware and a virus.
Next time be more carefull what you download .
You can reinstall your media's software as well but that is more of a hassle.

  • Touch smart web apps wer being eleted from the printer

I have the HP eprnt 3100 series.
I went to print something and I got up to retrieve it from the printer and a message popped up that my touch smart web apps wer being eleted from the printerand the the message was gone as fast as it appeared, Now nothing will print from my computer!!!!!!!!

Well, generally to remove apps now it is done from the computer accessing the ePrintCenter website. I would go there first and make sure the printer is still enrolled/enabled. If something was removed from there, it would remove the access at the printer. Here is the link, and help/tips section on the right side of the page may offer some help:

  • IPod Touch 4 Music App Issues

I'm having trouble with a few of the songs I bought through the music store. Some of the songs are working fine, maybe half of the 25 I bought. The other half either wont play, play another song instead, or skip the song entirely. I have tried rebooting the device and that didn't seem to work. Resyncing hasn't worked but the songs play fine on iTunes. I am about to just restore the iPod, but I was looking for tips and suggestions. Also iTunes has been kind of screwy lately. It took a few hours to download a 11 song CD and iTunes Store won't open. Obviously iTunes is a common problem but if anyone knows any tricks to get it to speed up or work correctly it would be much appreciated. I'm running Windows Vista with the latest iTunes and iTouch updates. Thanks!

If when restoring iTunes asks for a passcode and you can't enter the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod.  For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • When I sync my iPod it shows all my music on my laptop screen but when I touch the music app, it all disappears.

I've restored my iPod twice, please help.

    Try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • My 2nd gen iPod touch's music app crashes

It will crash as soon as a song is selected while headphones are plugged in. It won't even go to the Now Playing screen; it will just hang on the highlighted song for a few seconds and then crash. Works fine when nothing is plugged in, though. Sometimes it will work completely fine, but after restoring the iPod, the problem seems to have worsened after a day of perfect operation.
The iPod was a gift from a friend, and he had it for a while, so I don't think there's a warranty on it anymore. Help please??

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothiong is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If yu still have a problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
You can check your warranty by entering the SN here:
Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage

  • The Music app on my ipod touch will not open?

The Music app on my ipod touch will not open, it loads but the sceen is always blank and then closes the music app and goes back to my list of apps.. what do i do? any ideas?

I have the same problem since a couple days ago, I will try to refrain from swearing or slagging on Apple, got a few questions for you, Gerbrandt, or anyone else who's had this problem and worked around it by means of a 3rd party app:
1-Since using panamp have you used your ipod in any docks successfully? (ex: I have a JVC car deck, a Klipsch dock and the Yamaha dock for my home theatre, all will be worthless if I can't resurrect my iPod as a music player)
2-Has using panamp done anything to help the original Apple music app to work or has it stayed dead?
3-Do you have any smart playlists?  Like others with the 64GB model I have many many songs (that's the WHOLE point of the large capacity iPod, isn't it?) and I found that the more smart playlists I had the worse the apple music app behaved back when it was still working.
I'll check out panamp tonight, hopefully that will stop me from curb-stomping my iPod.
Anyone know whether an Apple "genius" has access to any sort of debugging facilities that would make it worth visiting the store for help on this matter?  (ex: if they have root access to check for corrupt song database, or debug logs of some sort, or can do any direct manipulation of commands over the dock connector).
It sure would be nice to know why this happens, I have about 14,000 songs locked in iTunes now and many hours of time invested in ripping my CD collection but I don't want to buy a replacement iPod only to have this happen to it too.  It's annoying enough the 4 hours it takes to resynch after a system restore (which in the end did nothing to resolve the original issue).

  • Music app on iPad Air sensing touch when fingers are off screen

Got an iPad air 32GB WiFi, the music app, when on a list, seems to be sensing touch, and the list will start to scroll. This happens more when fingers are on other areas of the screen (like volume control), however controlling music from EarPod remote seems to trigger this also. Have a Smart Cover (from Apple Store), which I thought could be affecting it, however because this is an intermittent issue, I haven't been able to fully test this theory.

Your iPad Air is under warranty.  If that were my machine, I would take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center, demonstrate the issue to the folks, and see what remedy they recommend.

  • App store and Music app on IOS 6 is not working. Music has my music, but the title of the songs are grey and when I touch them, nothing happens! The app store. when im on search, it exits the app. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

Okay. I am totally in a bad situtation. I have IOS 6 and 2 things have gone wrong. The Music app where you have your music, is bad. I have songs and stuff. And when i touch a song nothing happens. The letters are grey and nothing happens. The app store is also a problem. The appstore on IOS 6, when im on search and i search for and app, it exits the app  store in like 5 seconds. And when i first updated the IOS 6, it was still like that HELP!

Did you do a restore from iTune or iCloud backup recently?

  • Music is on my iPod touch 1G but does not show up in the Music App

Been having this problem the last week. I synced my iPod before I went to bed, grabbed it and headed off to work on Tuesday. Once I got to work I went to use my iPod and when I opened the Music App a screen popped up saying "Updating Library...This may take a few minutes". I didn't think much about that as I have seen it a number of times after I synced quite a bit of new music or podcasts(the night before I had 3 new hour long podcasts that synced).
Set my iPod to the side as that usually does take a minute, turned back and the screen said "No Content" and then some line about buying music in iTunes. I was quite surprised as I had never seen this screen before. I turned my iPod off and back on and the same No Content message.
I checked my Photos App and those were still there and so were all my saved photos that don't sync. Checked some of my other apps and the settings and saved data was all there too.
Finally got the idea to check the About option in the Settings. Knowing that it would list how many songs and how much space was free. Opened that up and it said 0 songs but that I only had 1.4GBs of free space. Which tells me that my music is on the iPod but just isn't being recognized.
Got home that night and synced it and once done I checked it and my music was there. Friday this all happened again and I have not been able to get my music to show up again even though my iPod tells that I have 12GBs of something on there going by what the About page tells me.
The only change I have made is I finally updated from just Itunes 10.0.X to 10.1.4 on 12/20 of last year. I have a iPod touch 1G that is running 3.1.3.
Last night I did a restore and created a whole new iPod but the same issue has happened. I watched it sync my ~2800 songs but when I went to check them, No Content but the About page tells me there is 12GBs of space being used. Right now I am going to a back from from June of last year to see if that works but I doubt it. I also have an old install of iTunes 10.0.1 that I think I might try.
What else could be the problem?

Which version of iTunes are you using?

  • The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch.  How do I get it to begin working?  It just stopped today.

The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch.  How do I get it to begin working?  It just stopped today.
Does anyone know what I can do?  I am unable to switch screens, and I can not see the track that is playing.  The only was I can switch between songs is to use the controls on my headphones.

Try the stamdard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • I have an iPod Touch but I currently don't have a PC.  I found an app that would allow me to connect to my network drive and I was able to transfer music files to it.  These files do not show under the Music app and I can't find any way to do it.

I need help from some Apple people. I have an iPod Touch and I wanted to load it up with some fresh music but I currently don't have a PC. I found an app that would allow me to connect to my 2TB network drive directly and I was able to transfer a bunch of music files to the iPod. Unfortunately, these new files do not show under the Music app and I can't seem to find any way to convince the iPod that they are music. I can play them through the file manager only. Android doesn't have this problem, any music I put on my phone is recognized as music and can be played through any of the music apps. Am I missing something or is Apple to inflexible to handle this?

You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.

  • I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1 and my Photos, Videos, contacts, music, App data, etc. was deleted. How can I all the data back?

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

  • Podcasts won't sync to the podcast portion of the built in Music App on my iPod Touch.  How do I fix this?

Ever since I downloaded the new Apple Podcast App my Podcasts that I subscribe to in iTunes have not worked correctly.   I have deleted the Apple Podcast App because it does not work well and I'd rather have the functionality with Podcasts that the sync from iTunes to the built in Music App has.  However, now I can't get the podcasts I subscribe to to show up in the original app.  My iTunes says that all the podcasts are being synced and it is checked to sync them and even the data storage indicator bar at the bottom shows the amount of space being taken up as if the podcasts did sync but when I go into my iPod Touch in the music app they are not there.  How do I fix this?  Thanks!

What you're really doing is trying to create a new icloud account using an ID that is not currently associated with a user's account.  A device can only do this a fixed number of times (3 or 5, don't remember), after which you must use a different device or computer to create the account.
