Touch won't install on G-slate

I was able to purchase this app, and it downloads from th Market but does not install. None of the new Adobe apps will install at all! Ive tried claring the cache and data in the download manager and market app, to no avail. Anyone have a solution? Thank you!

I wondered if it was due to the G-slate not meeting the minimum screen resolution requirements?
It looks like the G-Slate has 1280x768 per
http://www.intomobile.com/tablets/lg/t-mobile-g-slate
But the Adobe touch apps require at least 1280x800

That might be the cause?

I said ok but i've tried 5 times now and it keeps coming up with error 6 - could not be restored. My ipod won't turn on now and every time i try to connect it to itunes it comes up with another error message saying it can't do anything until it is finished restoring.

  • IPod Touch won't install on my computer, works on my brothers perfectly.

My problem is that my iPod won't install on my computer. What happens is that I will connect my iPod and then I get the Hardware installation wizard pop up and it says "An error occurred during the installation of this device. The system can not find the Hardware specified". I'm thinking the problem may be my computer because i tried it on my brother's computer and it works perfectly but on mine which is (Microsoft Windows XP-Windows 7 Viena) It wont work. I've tried restarting, resetting my iPod, putting it in UFC or w.e that is and other options I don't know what else to do please contact me ASAP.
P.S. If I don't click "Finish" on the Hardware Wizard my iPod will sync and connect to iTunes just fine but if I click Finish it will disconnect and the process will start all over again.

I have also tried restarting the iPod and reconnect it again, but still no sign.

  • IPod touch won't install any apps,

iPod touch cannot install apps, when I touch install it moves and can only see half of install.

If you have iOS 3.1.3 on your iPod then it is an Apple problem and they are working on it.

  • New Touch won't install software update or complete restore

I have a brand new, just opened iPod Touch. I connected it to iTunes and when it found an update to the software, I told it to update. It downloaded just fine, went through everything, but when it got to 'installing software', it just did nothing. There was a small group of the green bars that moved across the progress bar, but the progress bar on my iPod hasn't budged. After 20 minutes of nothing, I tried a hard reboot to the iPod, rebooted my computer, and tried again. When I connected the iPod, I could see it said it had the latest version of the software on the main screen under the window that popped up saying I needed to do a restore before I could use it.
I tried the restore, but pretty much the same thing happens. Everything works fine, but it gets stuck on 'Restoring iPod software' with nothing happening on the iPod. It's been connected for over 40 minutes now with absolutely no progress.
I've verified I had the drivers and the newest version of iTunes.
If I unplug the iPod, I'm unable to even turn it off, it just is stuck on the screen with the Apple icon and progress bar. I never receive any sort of error message aside from the original 'restore needed' when first connecting to iTunes.
    Please help.

I see several people are having the same problem. There seems to be alot of problems going on with IPOD. Its a shame that you spend 200.00 dollars on something that has these types of issues right out of the starting gate. The Apple Support people with whom I spent 1 hour on the phone with finally told me to take it to an Apple Store and let them restore it.I suggest you trying to do the same.Merry Christmas!

  • IPod touch won't charge while installed in vehicle through direct interface

    Hello,
This just began happening about two weeks ago. The touch won't charge while installed in the car directly through the interface. I have tried three different set-ups so I know it is not the iPod cable or stereo. It seems to charge and hold said charge fine through wall plug or CP but while in the car it only seems to charge enough to continue playing and then when the car is off, it acts as though it is no longer connected and dies so when I start the car the next time, I have to wait for the unit to charge enough to play...
Oh and it is a 1st gen 8gb touch.
Is this the battery or a hardware issue with the touch itself?
    Thanks for any help...
    Nick

I have the same problem with my Audi and started when I installed the 3.0 update. Besides I can't use the Hi Fi Apple device, which I bought 3 years ago. I'm sure the update didn't take in considerations old interfaces and the HiFi.

  • Updated ipod touch to software version 51.1 and now won't install certain apps

updated ipod touch 4th gen with software version 5.1.1 and now won't install purchased apps family guy time warp and uncensored. Help please as now i can't use my purchased games.

What happens if you just restore to factory defaults/new iPod (not from backup)?
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem an an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • 24" iMac won't install any 'large' Apple software updates from the internet

I am having a serious issue with my iMac and neither the people on the phone at Apple Care or the 'Geniuses' at the Genius Bar have been able to assist. So, maybe someone here can:
First - here is the background information about what happened and what I've done:
A few weeks ago when the new iTunes 10 came out I went to upgrade. The upgrade failed it said. So, I thought perhaps Apple was having issues with the new software or something. So, I thought - Ok, I'll give it a day or two.
I come back and try again from Apple.com - no luck. Hmmmm - well, I just happened to see my 'software update' icon pop up and there was iTunes. I thought "Great! Now I'm sure it'll install!" No luck.
So, I think - well, perhaps I've done something to corrupt my profile. So, I create a new profile and try again. No dice.
So now I'm really confused and figure - ok, let me try a partition and I'll try again. Still nothing.
Finally I figure - ok, something is wrong here. So, since nothing is working I backup my music and important files and wipe out the hard drive and start over. No luck. And, in fact - since I had gone back to 10.5.4 or whatever - software updates needed to install to get me back to 10.5.5. Those wouldn't install through software updates OR when downloaded from Apple.com - Smaller downloads like, flash, java, firefox, etc - all download and install without issue.
I decided to engage "Apple Care" and they call me at the time I specified and we begin to do some tests on the hardware and everything came back ok. We tried from Apple.com and software updates again - still won't install the software. Keeps coming back with "Software installation failed" something about the package installer was corrupted during downloading.
The guy at Apple care thinks perhaps its my network corrupting something. This begins to make a little sense and I think, maybe he's right. My wireless router isn't that great so, maybe I'll just go replace it. However, while I'm checking out I begin to think that maybe its NOT my wireless router - because I do have 2 other computers in my house who haven't had issues downloading anything. So, this is unlikely. But, I didn't like the wireless router anyway - so I went ahead with the purchase.
I get it home - set it up and try again. STILL not working. So, I make an Appointment at the "Genius Bar". I take it in - show them the screen shots of the errors and we get started. They try to do the install of either iTunes or the combo update on THEIR network - still won't work. The genius thinks I have a bad HD and takes the computer for 2 days to look at it.
I finally get to go pick it up - excited that I'll have my iMac (which I use for work) back and functioning again. I go pick it up and they decided that it wasn't my hard drive - but likely my RAM. They couldn't prove it was the RAM but figured since I bought the RAM after I bought the iMac that this must be the issue (even though it was up to exact Apple standards and was from Crucial). So, I think - well, while I have a blank slate I'll go ahead and install Snow Leopard. So, I pick up Snow Leopard and get new RAM too and go home to install.
I get the computer home, put the new RAM in, install snow leopard and get ready to work! After snow leopard install is done - it has some new updates it needs to install. And the update FAILS to install again. Oh, and they never replaced the HD.
So, I call Apple Care again - they have no clue. They suggest making an Apple Genius Bar appointment. So, I take it in again. They run diagnostics on it from their 'Triage' external hard drive and everything checks out. He says its probably the hard drive (same conclusion they came to the first time) and said that they would replace it.
I get the computer back - take it home. Everything is up to date. All the software updates were back in place including iTunes 10. However, I still want to test and see if I can download iTunes and/or do updates. So, I uninstall iTunes and download it again. Same problem. STILL won't install any large software downloads. But, again - Smaller downloads like, flash, java, firefox, etc - all download and install without issue. Just no core Apple updates or things like iTunes will download and install on my iMac.
I then took it to a friends house - set it up on his network - same issue.
    So to sum up:
I have re-imaged the hard drive several times
    I have replaced the ram
I have replaced my networking hardware (even though other machines on the network have no issues)
I have taken it in twice to the Genius Bar and they still haven't fixed it
The Problem followed the machine and exhibited the same issues in store as it did in my home (so we know the problems stays with the machine)
I have tried it on yet a 3rd network and the issue still exists
The people at the Genius Bar told me that If I still have issues then its with my network - even though its been proven it wasn't.
Its only larger downloads like Combo Updates and iTunes that won't install.
Any ideas? Sorry for the long post but its been quite an ordeal.

Yes, I have tried the updates directly from the Apple website and a different issue occurs. When I do that I get various different errors - the most common saying 'Codec overrun'. This has happened both before and after complete software OS reinstalls (Completely wiping the HD clean).
I did a video of my issue on my iPhone. I had to cut it and compress it to get it off my phone without syncing (because I can't sync it since I can't get iTunes installed now). So, its about a minute long if anyone wants to see it:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8leWwEoIeXI
And yes, we tried to repair permissions a couple times but didn't seem to have any effect on whether it would install these updates. Again, it's NOT all software downloads/installs. It seems to be limited to LARGER pieces of software. Example: Firefox, Flash, Java and Silverlight have all downloaded and installed without error on my iMac. Apple combo updates and iTunes won't install at all.

  • New ipod touch won't work with itunes 10.6.3 says it needs 11.1 but I cannot load that on my macbook using OSX 10.5.8 any way around this?

New ipod touch won't work with itunes 10.6.3, says it needs 11.1 or newer but I cannot load that onto my MacBook running on OSX 10.5.8 - is there anyway around this?

No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.
A 5G iPod with iOS 7 requires that if you have a Mac you have OSX 10.6.8 or later.
    You can get 10.6.8 here:

  • Ipod touch won't connect to computer, windows 7, and itunes, and won't charge on my computer

Whenever I plug in my ipod touch to my computer, NOTHING HAPPENS.There is no "bleep" sound, nothing shows up under my computer, nothing shows up in itunes, and my ipod touch won't even charge. How can I fix this?
I have tried many things to fix this issue, including reading and doing everything listed under "iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows".
    I have:
    - deleted itunes and reinstalled it
    - reset my ipod touch using the home and power key
    - tried fixing drivers
    - using a different cord
    - using a different computer (my ipod touch won't even show up on any other computer)
    etc.
And yet my ipod touch still will not connect to my computer or itunes, and will not charge on my computer. It charges fine in the wall, though.
I have more information that I believe may be integral to fix this issue:
    - My ipod touch is up to date with iOS 8.0.2
    - My itunes is up to date with version 11.4
    - I tried to connect my ipod using bluetooth, and it shows up like this
(other than this, it won't show up on my computer at all)
    - After I had updated my ipod touch and itunes and even synced my ipod (which had worked fine), I had then put a facebook app and facebook message app on my ipod touch, which after I had done that the next day I noticed that my ipod touch would not even show up on my computer at all (so I deleted the apps) and yet the problem is still persisting.
    - I installed iCloud on both my ipod touch and my itunes
    - Other than what I stated, I have not made any changes to my ipod touch.
In my device manager, NO APPLE PRODUCTS/DRIVERS SHOW UP ANYWHERE
The only place that apple mobile device show up at is here -
I've even tried to reset/stop/set to automatic the Apple Mobile Device here, and still it does not help.
Someone please help me. I've provided much information, so some assistance would really be appreciated. If I need to provide more information, please let me know.

You can try going to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and setting and then try setting up via iTunes. If still problem then set up via wifi and go to an Apple Store
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Ipod touch won't open apps?

I have an ipod touch, and whenever I try to open an app I've downloaded that's not preloaded into the ipod, it'll open up for about a second and then instantaneously flash back to the home screen. At first is was one app, then it was several, and then it becomes all of them. Sometimes they lose their picture too.
It's set to the newest version, there are no updates. I've checked. I've also checked if any of the apps require a new update or a newer generation ipod. Since I have the newest version and itunes won't install an app that requires a newer generation ipod, this can't be the problem. There are no problems with the battery.
I've tried reseting the ipod, no luck. I've tried restoring the ipod and putting everything back on (several times through a previously made backup, once from scratch): both of these work for about 2 days and then I have the same problem all over again. I refuse to restore and back up my ipod every few days.
(If this info helps you any, every time I plug it into the computer it doesn't recognize it as an existing ipod, it asks me to set it up as a new ipod and tries to sync it all over again. Even if I had not restored the ipod since last I plugged it in.)
I read through several forums on this and read the official troubleshoot on how to fix the problem, but none of the suggestions seem to work.
Does anyone know of anything else I should try, or do you think I should send it in and get it looked at?

If you still have the problem after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod you very likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • HT4623 My old school iPod touch won't update.  Does apple mess it's customers over by not allowing updates for older models of the touch?  My last update is Ios5.  My touch says its up to date.  So has my old school touch reached its pinnacle?

My old school iPod touch won't update.  Does apple mess it's customers over by not allowing updates for older models of the touch?  My last update is Ios5.  My touch says its up to date.  So has my old school touch reached its pinnacle?

Correct. The 3G iPod does not have the hardware to support an iOS version higher than 5.1.1
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was releases, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

The new intel video driver won't install on my T410.  Anyone else having the same problem?  All I get is a Turbo Boost installation box.  The intel video driver version doesn't update.  I've tried manually installing via "update driver", but windows says that I already have the newest driver (even when i only have 8.15.10.2202).

  • Apps won't install/update. Low memory.

For ipod touch 4g...using iOS 5.1--can someone tell me why my apps won't install all of a sudden? I thought it might be a memory problem since the diagnostic says my mem is low, but closing all apps in the dock didn't help. Neither did restarting or resetting the ipod.

It shows that I have 14.3GB free. What happens is that whenever I try to install an app it stays at the 'waiting' stage for a really long time. Then when I erase the app and try to reinstall it tells me that the app has already been downloaded and that I should check for available downloads. Installing the app from the computer works fine, but I don't understand why I can't do it from the ipod anymore.
