Touchpad freezes when pressing key g500

trying to play a game and only noticed it now. bought it a month ago. thats cuzi didnt need to press keys and move mouse at same time. ELAN touchpad, palm check at minimum settings.

Hi there,
did you download the latest ELAN trackpad driver from http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page
The one on the CD is old.
However, this new trackpad driver has problems of its own, although at least it won't freeze on you.
Cheers,
shauni

  • Acrobat 9 (CS4) Freezes when pressing 'Print' button

    Hi all,
I am having a problem with Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 in that when I go to print (with any setting/printer etc) selected, the dialog freezes after pressing the 'Print' button. Therefore I must force-quit to start Acrobat again.
I have tried trashing the preferences, removing Acrobat 9 altogether & re-installing and nothing seems to be helping.
I have also tried all sorts of different PDF files both created by myself as well as random PDF's from elsewhere.
What also seems to happen is that the blue 'Print' button pulses while waiting to be pressed and then when pressed goes blue and stops pulsing and that is where it stays frozen.
Please let me know if you need any more information or details of the configuration I am using.
ps. I have Acrobat Professional 8.1.3 also installed which works fine including printing.
    Regards,
    Ross

    Hi Mike,
    I do have some startup items;
    EyeTV Helper
    AdobeResourcesSynchroni
    I Love Stars
    GrowlHelperApp
    NikePlusUtil
    EEvent Manager
    EPSON Scanner Monitor
I don't have any haxies on anything.
I made a new user account and tried to replicate the problem but it seems to work fine when logged in as a different user which leads me to think it is a preference in my current user>library

  • Error beeps (when pressing keys)

    Hi,
How does one stop the annoying error beeps occurring when an unused keyboard key - such as the 'Esc' key - is pressed in a window based Cocoa application?

    I've found a solution.
For anyone wondering the same question, try placing the following method in the code of each .m file, and test if it works:
    - (void) keyDown: (NSEvent*) theEvent {}
For me, it was the NSView .m file, that made it work.

  • Mail freezes when press the attachment button

I first realized that my MailTab Pro for Gmail app would freeze for about 10 seconds when I press the paperclip button. So then thought it maybe had to do with a setting for mail. So I went throught the whole drama of setting up Mail (apple mail), and then tried pressing the attachment button on an email I tried to compose and that too would freeze up for 10 to 20 seconds. I cant even get to the screen to browse attachments. I can upload attachments no problem on safari or firefox in gmail. But through MailTab Pro it freezes. I have, however realized that I can drag and drop files into the mail app email that I am composing. But that is a frustrating way to browse files. Anyways, wasted my whole day trying to figure this out and was hoping somebody might know how to help me out. Would be really appreciated.
    Cheers

Doesnt seem like anybody had any similar problems to me, but if you do have a similar issue even with apple mail or any imap attachment issues I figured out the solution.
This solution solved both my mail attachment problem as well as my cpu overheating issue as well. On this thread read the post from James Hunkins.

  • W520 - Touchpad Freezes when clicking

I had an old Thinkpad, and I liked using the top row of mouse buttons with the touch pad.  The middle click in particular is very useful.  However, when I upgraded to a W520, the touch pad would freeze for like 3 seconds everytime I clicked with the top mouse buttons.  The bottom mouse buttons don't cause the touch pad to freeze.  Is this on purpose?  Is there a setting I can change?  Or is my touchpad broken?

It's by design, but you can disable it.
Go to Mouse > UltraNav > TouchPad and uncheck Prioritize for TrackPoint and keyboard input or something like that.

  • Iphoto freezes when pressing export

I have been using iphoto with no problem, but now when I select photo then file = export, it always stalls and the program becomes unresponsive.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try this:backup and launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed to rebuild the library. Select the third and last options.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key and selecting the *+Choose Library+* button.
    Try exporting again.
    OT
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • Computer freeze when pressing OK on a pop up dialog

    Hi,
I have a dialog.vi used as a subvi. It will pop up when runing a program. This dialog.vi will allow me to input information such as sample no., sampling rate, etc
The dialog.vi can run itself no problem. The problem arises when I use it as a subvi in a main program. When I run the program, the dialog box will pop up as expected, but after I enter all the information and click on the OK button, the cpu usage rose to 100%, and the program just freeze there. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
    bj

    Hi
looks like your dialog VI has a while loop which is not stopping and running at maximum iteration rate
Try putting a delay for the dialog VI's iterations
If not post ur VI and we can sugest better
    Regards

  • Firefox freezes when ctrl + enter is pressed simultaneously

Firefox freezes when ctrl + enter is pressed simultaneously.

    Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
    * On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
    * On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
    Please report back soon.

    riyazfrombangalore,
your 13-inch Mid 2009 MacBook Pro requires 1066 MHz RAM, but you have 1333 MHz RAM installed. Try replacing the 1333 MHz RAM with 1066 MHz RAM — Macs can be picky about the RAM which they find acceptable.

thinkpad keyboard problem - some keys generate multiple keys when pressed
For example, "t" generates "tr", "y" generates "yu", "backspace" generates "backspace" plus "IBM access connections", "m" generates "mn" and "n" generates "mn".  Not all keys are wrong.
For what it's worth, the odd behaviour started shortly after a trip to Miami in which I had a meeting at a cafe in which we were undercover but it was pouring cats and dogs - it was like having a meeting in a sauna - so I am wondering if the high humidity could have caused the behaviour.
I tried replacing the keyboard but the new keyboard has the same problem.
The machine in question is a Thinkpad T23 running Windows XP Pro
Any help would be appreciated as I am now in Los Angeles using a borrowed Mac! :-)

i have something along the lines of the same problem.

my conclusion is something in the last system update screwed it up.

    Here's how to do it.
    1. App Store, iTunes Store should have the same AppleID on Computer and iPhones. (Free to share apps, music and books... )
    2. Person A uses the same purchasing account for everything (ie. email, contacts and ...).
    3. Person B have the same purchase account see no. 1 (for App Store and iTunes Store) but create a second AppleID for iCal, e-mail, contacts  and etc.

  • OneNote 2013: Font changes when pressing Enter / Return key

I have the same problem as this guy (who didn't get a relevant answer): http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/233833f7-dde8-414d-bdca-604ed8d57667/onenote-2013-font-changes-when-pressing-enter-return-key?forum=officeitpro
I set my default to Calibri 14, but every time I press enter (I make a lot of bullet lists) the font changes to Calibri 11.

    Hi,
Did you change the default font after you typed a few words in a note container?
Setting the default font in Microsoft Office OneNote affects text that you type in new note containers only. It does not affect existing text or text that you add to existing note containers.
If you want to change the font in an existing note container, you need to change it manually under
    Home tab > Basic Text.
    Thanks,

  • I have one doubts, Why does the screen go out automatically in way rest and activate when pressing any does key?

I am a little scared, since for one week I received to the new Macbook Pro 13 i7, and does few days was working of strange way, since it was beginning to extinguish automatically the screen at any time and any key activates when pressing to enter the open session. I want to know if something is being put rare or is normal, or if desbalanceé the adjustment of economizer or screen or whatever it appears in the panel of system preferences. I have reestablished them almost all, but the problem persists.
I need aid. I do not want that it passes nothing to him and that everything is working well.
I will be thankful for its answers to them. Especially to the technical support

I belive that upgrade to 10.8.4 has troubles.
After this my macbook pro started to go to sleep even that I was working with it.
This morning it became too much. I had worked fine in the evening and this morning the keyboard would not response. Each keypress made sound an evel "click sound".
I ended up needing to reboot the computer.

  • The numeral part of my keyboard causes my mac mini to freeze when using the 0 - 9 keys

The numeral part of my keyboard causes my mac mini to freeze when using the 0 - 9 keys.. I have to restart to continue.
Does it have to do with the disk utility?
I already did the disc repair job

Open System Preferences - Universal Access and check whether 'Mouse Keys' are activated.
If so, then deactivate them. They could be the cause of your problem.
