TouchPad language set to Spanish... Typo and Auto-correction issue
Have these couple of issues when selecting Spanish as the default language:
1. Typo: Under Launcher, the "DOWNLOADS" tab says "Descarags" instead of the correct word "Descargas".
2. Auto-correction: This feature only offers suggestions (corrections) for English, not for the selected language - Spanish.

I would like to translate the User Interface of my application to French, Italian, Spanish, German and Portuguese.
When I put special characters in the import string file they showed up as ? (question mark)
The import strings file includes the following parameters for each string: font, text, size and style. (but no field for script)
In order to use a unicode font such as Arial I need to select a french script. But this option is not supported bu LabView (As far as I saw)
A) Is there a font which is directly German/ French etc and not regula font + script parameter?
B) Are there another required step

Photomerge and Auto Align/Blend issues!!! HELP!
I have a lot of photos that I need to create panoramas of, and when I use Photomerge all of the photos that I want to create a panorama of show up on the same image, but are stacked one on top of the other. Not linked or mergedin any way. They all have vector masks, but nothing covered up. When I try to use the Auto Align and Auto Blend modes for a panorama, an error box shows up saying that I don't have enough coverage area of 40%, but I certainly do. They images are very similar, and taken by standing and moving 360 degrees. I don't understand why Photoshop doesn't like these images? But I have to make about 100 panoramas, so any and all help and insight would be greatly appreciated!!!
What OS are you running? 32 bit or 64 bit? How big are your source images and how many do you have for a given pano?
I just did a 360 degree pano that ended up 25689 x 1850 pixels (after cropping) from 17 raw Canon 40D images, all handheld while standing in different spots around the Clingman's Dome observation tower in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Photoshop CS5 standard 64 bit on Windows 7 x64 with 8 GB RAM didn't have any problem at all with it, though it took about 10 minutes or so to finish. The result came out astoundingly good, even though the slight changes in perspective should have been challenging.

If you don't mind my asking, what do you do with hundreds of panoramas? It's an difficult image format to find uses for to say the least.

Can't have the word subtitution feature without running the auto-correction
hi everybody,
a week ago i change my bb style to z10 , and notice that I can't have word subtitution without set the auto-correction on. i don't live in a country where english is primary language, so i find this very annoying, because autotext is one of my favourite feature from my previous blackberry. I can't have the auto-correction on because it always changes what i type into something VERY different...
another problem is ringtone notification of bbm message is the same as bbm group, so it's a little bit annoying having your blackberry rings all the time because of chat in group and i have 2 active groups right now.
the third annoying thing is the numeric keypad, it always turns back to alphabet keypad everytime i hit space. it takes too long just to type 2 * 5 = 10 + 10 = 20 (for example). i wonder what i should do to keep staying in numeric mode.
i wonder if there's already solutions to my problem, maybe an app or update.

How can we turn off auto-correction in the forum search?
This recent auto-correction in the forum search is driving me nuts. It is way too overzealous. There is no way to win the fight!
Example:
Try to search for "voight" (the famous lineshape).
It seaches for "right" instead
There is a small link to actually search for "voight" so we press that.
So far so good.
Now I want to limit searching for only my posts, so I enter "altenbach" on the left.
Now the search term switches back to "right" .... grrrrr!!!!! (see video)

Now we are back to #5, because the "by altenbach" has disappeared again. (see video)
Repeat steps 5..8 forever. No escape to get what we actually want.
In the video you see how the "by altenbach" disappears once we click on "search instead for voight".

Mac keeps defaulting to US letter, despite language setting to British
I am running mountain lion and despite having my language set to English UK and the printer OKI 3300 page set to A4 as default, whenevr I try and print both word for mac 2008 and pages both try and print to US letter whic
Yes I have tried a full reset and also deleting all printers and downloading latest drivers, sadly all of which had no effect.
My latest link was to change the language setting to Britich english and delete the English as it was suggested this had an afffect however it has not changed anything.
All defaults appear as A4 in both printer and system prefs but when you open a word/excell/pages doc and try and print the paper size comes up as US letter.
Any help is much appreciated as this has been going on for months and is driving me mad. -

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select
▹ Restart
from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead the instructions on this page:

Help updated my ipad with IOS 7.0.4. It asks me what language, chooses my wi-fi and then asks.........1 - set up as a new ipad, 2 - restore from iclouds or 3 - restore from itunes but won't restore as not enough memory! What do I do now?

Whats my next move as I CANNOT use the ipas at the moment!!!!!!!!Your iPhone's iOS must be same or newer than the one in backups. In your case it is older so you need to update your iPhone and then recover it with backup.

Auto-Capitalization: How can I set Pages v5.01 to auto-capitalize the first letter of the first word in a sentence and to automatically change lower case "i" to "I" appropriately. I'm unable to find a menu that offers me these.

I speak English. I am living in Chile and have a Dell/MS Windows Vista (English) laptop. I have Firefox 3.6.12. I have installed the Spanish (Mexico) dictionary. I right-click in a Yahoo e-mail window and select Languages - Spanish (Mexico) and start typing in Spanish, but it is not correcting my mistakes, or offering alternative spellings.
I don't know if I have the correct plug-in, correct settings, or am expecting something that isn't possible.Do other dictionaries work if you select them in the Languages menu?

Just got a new iPad Air -downloaded "pages" even though the language setting is defaulted to English, all the templates are written in either Latin or French. The headings are in English - no the body content? I have deleted the app and downloaded it a second time with the same results?? I would really like all the data to be in English.
It is placeholder text in Latin. You have to replace it with your own text. Placeholder text is for giving you an idea on what the document will look like.

Language setting of browser and Application Primary Language
Hi,
my browser is currently set to German, that's why the APEX builder is also displayed in German. Brrr, I like development environments when they are not displayed in English - sometimes you don't understand this translations :-)
But my problem now is that I have created an application and set the Application Primary Language to English (en).
I would now assume that all the text APEX is creating during wizard actions will be created in the Application Primary Language and not in the language the browser is currently set to. But all the text is created in the browser language!!!
I think that's not a good behavior, because if you have a multi user/multi country development, the developers have to change there browser settings so that we get a consistent application. But to archive that I have set the primary language for the application.

Because the result language of the application should be Estonian.A) And how exactly will the Builder obtain the Estonian translation of these strings or of the translation of these strings into any of the hundreds of other languages we know nothing about?
I think the answer is that the Builder should maintain an awareness of the language setting of the application being developed. During the generation of possibly translatable text, the wizards should use a translated message for that text/language if: a) the language is one of the ten languages in which we make the Builder application available, and b) the developer has installed that "language version" of the Builder application (even if they are running a different language version at the time of text generation). If either condition does not hold, then the text should be generated in the Builder's primary language (en-us).
The builder is no genius (or not yet ;-) ), so that's up to the developers when they are changing the primary language during development.B) I don't understand your point (what is up to the developers?). The point I was trying to make was that even if we concede that generated text from the Builder should ideally be in the language that is the current primary language setting of the application being developed, the Builder would not be able to make that accommodation during the execution of the portion of the Create Application wizard that creates pages (with generated text in some language) because this occurs beore the language selection is made. Of course, the answer is that the Create Application wizard should be changed to allow the language to be selected before any text can be generated. Wizards would then be able to generate text in the appropriate language according to the rules proposed in (A).
Why does the builder/wizard not use substitution strings (eg. #APPLY_CHANGES#, #NO_DATA_FOUND#) for this type of default text instead?This would result in "code" in areas of the metadata from which translation strings would be extracted into the XLIFF file. Translators would ignore this code so the ultimate translated application (and the primary) would need a repository in which to hold the desired text for each language to be supported and a method with which to dynamically lookup the translated text at runtime. I don't believe the current architecture supports this (apart from the fact that we don't currently do it this way) and I think the performance implications could be significant, but I could be mistaken on both points.

There is no option yet to localize the content in Muse.
If you would like to publish your site to business catalyst then creating different pages in the same Muse site is recommended.
Else, you can make a back up of this muse site and and create another site using this site, (save the same site with different name to another location) then open that one and edit text in site in another language, and then do the same for third language and so on.
