Touchpad wont turn on

My touchpad wont turn on.after couple months it hasn't been charged, then I.tried to charge it with different chargers didn't work now I.have the right charger it won't do anything

There are several other threads already discussing this topic, but they all say the same things:
--Check your charger.  Many of the USB cables supplied by HP were fragile, and break easily.  Try another micro-USB cable with a charger that supplies 2 amps (2,000mA).  If using an HP charger, check the prongs on the transformer - they are removable, and if twisted out of position no current will flow.
--Try all the resets - simple (hold both the power and center button for 15 - 20 seconds until the HP logo appears).   Advanced (press and hold the power, center, and volume down together until logo appears.  May give the option to completely erase the unit!)
--Use a TouchStone to charge the device if you suspect the female charging port on the TouchPad has been damaged.
--As a last resort, try using the "tpdebrick-v004" program.  This is a difficult, but doable re-flash of the device using a computer running Ubuntu, and a program from this link.  I revived one of my touchpads using this method, but it lasted for only a month or so before finally giving up.

  • Water damage, first worked now it wont turn on

    Hi,
So Thursday I decided to take a bath and I have this bath board and I put my Macbook which I got in 2010 on it.
The bath board slipped and my laptop go a little bit wet. I put it on the side and I dried the outside with a towel.
It didn't shut down or anything so I continued to watch my movie. Then a few problems occured.
    1. When I typed in the letter P the capital button (the putton you press in to type in capitals) was switched on
    2. When I tried to mute the sound completely the system preferences opened
    3. When I pressed on the 'esc' button it would turn off
    4. When I closed it, it fell off
    5. The touchpad didnt really work correctly
After I all these problem occured I just switched off. Later in the evening it turned it on and the same problems were there but I still used it.
Friday, the day after, the touchpad worked correctly and I didn't have the letter 'P' problem anymore. I didnt use it that much that day because I had some friends coming over and I needed to work. After work I went to the cinema and I only used my laptop that night for like 1 or 2 hours.
On Saturday I also didnt use it that much because it was my sisters birthday, I only used it for 40 minutes and nothing had changed. I had charged it and it seemed to work good enough. Later in the evening I switched it on and then these two hard dics apperead on the screen. I could choose from mactonish blabla or the recovery disc. I choose recovery and then I needed to choose a WiFi network. I choose my home network but when I needed to type the password for the WiFi network in the dots that represented the letters didnt show up. So I switched my laptop off and since then it wont turn on.
I don't know what to do at this point. I'm going on a holiday tomorrow. I've read some of these apple support answers but the answers where so mixed.
What is remarkable is that my laptop didnt shut down after contact with water. Currently it is lying on the central heating.
My laptop was a white Macbook from 2010, I'm not sure how much GB it had and I think the operating system I had was (atleast) Mac OS X Lion. Oh and the bottom of the laptop is missing. As far as I know I didnt have a lot of memory left.
    Someone please help me,
    Kind Regards

Absolutely. If you can get it to turn on at all and you have access to another mac and a firewire cable you might be able to access the drive using Target Disk ModeHow to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode - Apple Support
If you macbook won't start at all you'll need to physically remove the drive from the dead computer. Not hard, follow this guidehttps://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Unibody+Model+A1342+Hard+Drive+Replacement/ 1670
Then just pop your now rescued hard drive into an external enclosure like this one http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-2-5-Inch-External-Enclosure-EC-UM30/dp/B00MQ97QGE/ ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1419184572&sr=8-3&keywords=2.5+hard+drive+enclosure
and connect it to your new mac and you can use Migration Assistant to move all of your stuff over to the new computer Move your data to a new Mac - Apple Support
Sorry for your bad luck....and sorry for being a bit of a smart arse too.....it was early and I hadn't had my coffee yet.
One last word....use this as a learning experience....not about the water I think you've already got that one....but about backing up. Get yourself an external hard drive that is at least the size of the new one and use Time Machine to back up your stuff. Your old hard drive may fit that bill nicely. You need to back up...disasters happen, as do accidents and you could lose everything in a split second without at least one backup.

Because of the age of the computer, I suspect a failed power supply unit (PSU).  Here is a guide to help you troubleshoot the problem:

As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

    Hey jestinsinclairr,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you had one issue and then got a second trying to resolve the first. A frustrating situation for sure. The first article linked has what to do if it is not powering on unless plugged in. The second article addresses the error you are receiving when trying to restore.

My iphone 4s wont turn on,it wont even charge, when it does eventually start to charge the apple icon on the screen will appear for a few seconds then itll disappear, i have tried to do the soft/hard reset but nothing happens, can anyone help me please? do i have a dead iphone on my hands? isit worth me going into the apple store and seeing what they can do or isit pointless? please help!!!

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace

  • My iphone 6 wont turn on after i updated it and it doesn't work to restore it in itunes. what should i do?

my iphone 6 wont turn on after i updated it and it doesn't work to restore it in itunes. what should i do?

    Hello ole-gunnar,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If your iPhone is unresponsive after updating your iOS version, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting below.
If you see a black screen
You might need to charge your device before it can turn on. Plug in your device and let it charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad), then try turning it on.
You should see a battery icon while your device is charging. If you continue to see a black screen, reset your device. If your device doesn't respond when you press buttons
Your device might not return to the Home screen when you press the Home button, wake from sleep when you press the Sleep/Wake button, slide to unlock or power off, or it might appear frozen. Try these steps:
    Restart your device.
If it still doesn't respond, or if it doesn't turn back on, reset your device.
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
