Touchscreen glitching out

How can I fix my touchscreen touch issues?
I enabled developer touch debugging and it seems as though the touch pressure is always hovering around 0.5, and almost all the time it is "phantom touching" the center of the screen.
The phone is nearly useless... and of course I am on vacation out of state so I can't really send it in for repairs at the moment.
I need some sort of field fix for this, please help!

sorry for late reply, try to remove screen protector which u installed manually, and try to switch of the phone for half hour, that can little help.

I turned my mac off and ever since then it has glitched out and will not download no matter what I do. I have had it for 3 years which is out of warranty. It now has a blank bar under the launch pad and no matter how many times I try re-downloading it or restarting my computer it does not work. I use too play starcraft and other games on this computer although new patched/updates have made it that I can no longer do that now. Really frustrating having to deal with this especially after buying this computer upfront and now out of warranty.

Go to your Applications folder and find a file called "Install OS X Mavericks".  Send it to the trash and delete it.  Then try the download again.

  • BlackBerry PlayBook glitches out don't no if it is the blackberry or a virus in DESPERATE need of help!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,
I got this black berry PlayBook for Christmas and it starts to open up random things and just 'glitch' out idk if it is a virus but I really want to find out I have restarted it and it didn't  work  please help!!!!!!

If it opens random apps without you touching the screen at all, even after doing a 3 button reset, try a security wipe.
Try the solution from knottyrope here:

  • MacBook  Pro screen glitches out, gray lines appear on it then my computer freezes and must be restarted sometimes it will beep 3 times when restarting and other times it won't. Is this a virus?

I have a MacBook Pro running mavericks. Sometimes the screen glitches out, gray lines appear on it then my computer freezes and must be restarted sometimes it will beep 3 times when restarting and other times it won't. Is this a virus, software issue, water damage, etc? An error message usually appears after being restarted. It does it all the time please help.

No Virus. You have a Hardware Problem. 3 Beeps means a RAM problem. You could try Reseating the RAM is its sockets.
But that wouldn't necessarily cause the screen to Glitch Out, as you say.

Thank you so very much! My husband is in Afghanistan and calls at different times. If I am on a call and can't answer him it could be days before I hear from him again. I never thought to just restart my phone! Duh...this is my first smartphone so I am learning. All day people were calling while I was on the phone but I couldn't answer. Thank GOD none of the calls were my husband because it would break my heart if I missed his call. Thank you again and GOD bless you! Ashley Combahee

  • Why did my iPad Mini screen start glitching out of no where?!

Why did my iPad Mini screen start glitching out of no where?! Hard reset did not fix issue... Which I could barely see the display at it was.. Please help..

Has the unit EVER been jailbroke?  Has it EVER been dropped?  Did it EVER get excessively wet?  Did you EVER load a pirated developer's version of the IOS?
If "No" to all the above, first try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • Iphone 6 Screen glitching out

My iPhone 6 (Verizon 64GB CDMA) is glitching out.  It starts with it getting fuzzy, with horizontal lines of distortion, then within about 10 seconds it progresses to getting block-pixelated with flickering and then it eventually deteriorates to black.  I have to hard-reset the phone with the power+home button technique, sometimes a few times before it boots up correctly.  Help!

TTake to Apple store or call. Needs replacement. I would try restoring as new first just in case.

  • Logic X glitching out when editing during playback

    Hi,
Pretty self explanatory - does anyone know how to stop LPX having a full on heart attack whenever you make edits whilst it's playing back? Particularly when editing midi whilst it's playing, will cause all the audio to glitch out, go out of time before taking a good few bars to straighten out. Every update of LPX seems to have this lovely feature, and it still occurs even when I save it from a folder to a Logic Project. Changing the buffer settings seems to make no difference to the problem. The only fix I can see is to play, stop, edit, and repeat, but having not had this problem in 9, it seems a bit silly!
    Ben

I'm presuming performance in LPX is better under 10.6.8 or 10.7.5?
    Hi Ben....
Unfortunately no, as LPX won't run under those OS X versions....
Minimum version of OS X is 10.8.4...... in order to run LPX...  and given the other issues found by many with 10.8.x and LPX, the recommended combo is LPX 10.0.7 and OS X 10.9.4 or 5...
I wrote a little about best combos in this tip....

  • Tabs glitching out, videos going silent

Sometimes when I close a tab, the next tab it changes to will glitch out and have a few artifacts of the website I was just on. For instance, I can have a Google.com tab and a Youtube video in another. if I close the youtube video and go to the google tab, some of the objects from the youtube tab will appear on the google tab.
As for the videos going silent, this is mainly youtube. When I'm watching a video and want to skip forward, the video will act as if it's pause. The pause button will change to have the play symbol instead, but won't change back to pause when I click it. The video will continue to play and the audio will be completely mute. The only way to fix that has been, so far, to close and reopen the tab. So far, it mostly occurs when I go fullscreen.
I'll try and get a picture of the first problem, but the second problem is so random, I'm afraid I won't be able to get anything to show.

Did the glitches just start recently? Firefox 33 introduced a new feature called "Off Main Thread Compositing" (OMTC). There is a preference to disable this feature if you want to try that. You might need to exit and start Firefox up again after making the change.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''layer''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled''' preference to switch it from true to false.
    Any difference?
Regarding the YouTube videos, are these playing in the Flash player plugin or in Firefox's built-in HTML5 player? Usually you can distinguish them by the right-click menu for the player: Adobe's plugin has a distinctive short context menu instead of Firefox's standard right-click context menu.
