Touchscreen stopped working when upgraded to Windows 8.1

I have an HP Pavilion Product EOK22UA#ABA and Model 14-1027cl (I think?) and when I upgraded to Windows 8.1, the touchscreen has stopped working. I've looked through the forums and I can't find someone with the same Product/Model as me and I'm trying to find a solution to this. I do not want to do the "Refresh your PC without affecting your files" because I have programs on my computer that I cannot get again because they were downloaded on education licenses (I am a college student) and I can only download once. Any suggestions on how I can get my touchscreen up and running again? Thanks.

I understand that the touchscreen on your notebook computer has stopped working since upgrading to Windows 8.1, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since your system may still have an older version of AMD graphics drivers installed on your computer, I recommend uninstalling the Windows 8 graphics drivers and installing the compatible ones for Windows 8.1. To do this, I recommend removing the drivers in Programs and Features and the Device Manager. Once the old software is removed, please restart your computer.

What are you using I had no problem with Windows 8.1, CC 2014 with or without my Wacom Tablet on my Surface Pro 3. I can no longer test Windows 8.1 for I now have Window 10 Technical Preview Build 10049 on my Surface Pro 3. Has some problems Surface Hub and Windows Reliability History crash for example and some windows apps like Mail, Calendar and contacts are still not ready only place holders exist. Windows 10 is not ready yet. However CC 2014 works in the preview and shortcuts work.

WiFi (Key) stopped working after upgrade to Windows 10

I thought I would post this on the forum for those who are having the same problem because help for this issue is few and far between compared to the number of pleas for assistance from HP owners. When I upgraded to Windows 10 on my Pavilion, the WiFi stopped working and I could not turn it on using the hot key (F12). I searched for answers and worked hours trying to solve it until I came upon the only suggestion that worked for me: I had to disable fast boot (power options, change what the buttons do, "change settings that are currently unavailable" (?!?)) , so I could get into the bios and then I went into the bios by pressing f10 during boot. Reset them to defaults. (Changed from default back to what I wanted) saved and the wifi button turned white after pressing during windows 10 boot up. EDIT: If it does not turn on right away, try turning it on through the wifi settings. I hope this can help a few, who like me, struggled endlessly for a problem that few HP mods seem to be responding to. Cheers.

I have an Ideapad Flex 15. Since I upgraded yesterday to Windows 10, I have lost the touchscreen ability I had up to that point on Windows 8.1. On search for pen and touch, I was given this message on a system information page: "No pen or touch input is available for this display." I have looked in device manager under Human Interface Devices. Expanding the view to show hidden devices, I see "HID compliant touch screen." When I click to get device status, this is the message: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer." How do I do that? I solved the problem here for my sister's Flex 14.
Press Windows+X and open Device Manager, go to Mouse and uninstall USB touchscreen.

Ideapad (Flex 15) touchscreen not working on upgrade to Windows 10

I took this in to a shop, and two technicians tried to solve the problem to no avail. One of them did as suggested, and uninstalled the touchscreen driver under Mice and other devices, but that only disabled the mouse touchpad. So it was reinstalled, and the driver for the touchscreen under Human Interface devices was reinstalled, but none of it helped, and I still lack the touchscreen capacity I had before. I cannot scroll except on the side ribbon, and I cannot use the touchscreen to zoom in and out, which I could do on Windows 8 and 8.1. So it seems there is no new Lenovo driver for the IdeapadFlex 15 that is compatible with Windows 10. I am told to wait and see, and to hope that Lenovo addresses this problem. BTW, I previously had two Microsoft tech people remote control my computer to fix this, and they both failed. I am disappointed with Microsoft and Lenovo. Any computer that was bought within the last couple of years fitted with Windows 8 should upgrade no problem to Win 10.

"itunes has stopped working" when closing itunes Windows Vista

Since November 2007, when I close itunes, I get Windows Vista error "itunes has stopped working" This got worse when it corrupted the itunes library itl file. I deinstalled QT and itunes version 7.5, and went back to version 7.4.3.1 - but the problem persists.
I believe this problem started with the install of version 7.5

I am running Windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.1.3.8. I found a simple solution by browsing through the support communities. Here it is: Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
This worked for me. Good luck.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 has stopped working when importing music (Windows 8)

I have a problem with Adobe premiere Pro CS6 on windows 8. When I use Premiere Pro CS6 for the first time, it's doesn't have any problem, but now I can't import music to Premiere Pro CS6 and it's say ''Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 has stopped working'', I don't know what should I do. How to fix it ?

AV button stopped working when updates to windows 7 loaded

I have two HP touchsmart 600s. I use one to toggle to HTMI and then watch ATT uverse. When we downloaded the most recent window 7 fixes, the AV button on my remote stopped working. Is there a fix for this? I can no longer watch tv on my second TouchSmart.

Which Touchsmart model do you have. There are many that fall in the 600 series.
You have two options. You can uninstall / reinstall the drivers that are for the remote to see if that helps or we may have to roll back your system to before you did the updates to try to identify which update is causing the problem with the remotes.

Keyboard stopped working after upgrading to Windows 10

I just upgraded my HP Pavilion X2 to Windows 10 and the keyboard stopped working. Is there an update from HP that can correct this issue?

, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums. The only option you have at the moment is to run the windows update troubleshooter and run any update recommended or optional. If that does not fix it then you will need to roll back to the original supported operating system the x2 was built to run on. HDMI sound stopped working when upgrading to Lion

I have a mini connected to my TV via HDMI (video and audio). It has worked nicely until a few days ago when I upgraded to OS X Lion, then the audio disappeared. If I open System Preferences -> Sound -> Output I can see two possible outputs, the earphones and my TV. If I try to select the TV as output it is immediatly changed back to earphones.
It all worked fine in leopard, does anyone have a clue why it has stopped working in Lion?

I have found a workaround. I seems like if I unplugg the headphone jack, which is normally connected to my stereo, I can select HDMI as sound output in system preferences. It really makes no sense, I hope they fix this in the next release.

Have you checked in the Device Manager to see if all drivers are installed since upgrading? (look for yellow exclamation points)
Uninstall the AMD driver and catalyst control center. Install the version located in the download section of the web support portal for your sleekbook.It will install both driver (intel and AMD) and also switchable graphics capability if it previously existed.

Postgresql stop working when upgrading from S10U3 to U4

in S10U3, i installed postgresql following:

I i reboot S10U3, everything works fine.

ok, here is my solution to have postgresql working after upgrade to U5:
- look at /var/svc/log/application-database-postgresql:default.log
it says:
svcprop: Couldn't find property `postgresql/bin' for instance `svc:/application/
database/postgresql:default'.
/lib/svc/method/postgresql: /pg_ctl: not found
so using svccfg, i'm adding this path:
svc:/application/database/postgresql:default> setprop postgresql/bin = astring: /usr/bin
- nemo-root% svcadm refresh svc:/application/database/postgresql:default
and now, it works again!

Audio devices not working when upgraded to windows 7

Dear Community members and Lenovo...
After uggrading my Lenovo N100 0768 54A from Windows Vista Home premium to Windows 7 Home premium, As some of our friends put up here, audio is not functioning. The mixer shows balancing in sound, the device driver shows, working, but the audio problem is still not resolved even after 3 weeks. I am really fedup with the audio driver installation over three weeks. The drivers tried, are both from lenovo site and realtek site. Still I could not solve the problem.
When upgarded from Win-XP to Windows Vista, realtek was not functioning, through our forum some of our friends suggested to install soundmax driver which was working well then. Now, Audio is the only problem. could Lenovo solve my problem. Some more community members could please help me out.

While trying to help you, I was looking along the same lines as you were (I assume).
I did a search by the IDT 92HD73E audio codec and all I could find were drivers for system boards with Intel processors such as the driver you tried unsuccessfully.
I have finally found a W8.1 driver for that codec from a desktop PC with an AMD processor and chipset.

cfdocument and cfchart stopped working when moved to Windows 2003/IIS6

We just moved our content to a new server: from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 (IIS6).
We are using Cold Fusion MX 7,0,2,142559.
Everything works properly after the move except:
1. <cfdocument> (any, the simpliest one) hangs producing error:"The document has no pages. null "
2. <cfchart> crashes producing error: "Invalid attribute: autoAdjust null"
What can it be? Where should we look? Is it some Windows 2003 feature/problem/blockage? Or does it look like Cold Fusion was not installed properly?
Any Hot Fixes are required?
Any ideas are welcome!!!

I would avoid installing 7.0.1 hotfixes on an 7.0.2 installation. The 7.0.2 release notes state that "It also includes all previous ColdFusion MX 7 hot fixes that have been released to date, eliminating the need to install multiple hot fixes and patches."

You might try installing the ColdFusion MX 7.02 Cumulative Hot Fix 3 or the CFDocument Cumulative Hot Fix.
