has anyone had the blank screen issue? i have power but no visual. help!
if power is on and screen is black blank then unplug all the cable then press and hold power for 10 second....connect power and chk if it boots up...if no and still same issue then open pc and reseat ( unplug and plug back in) memory(RAM) restart pc try if it works..if still same issue then remove both memory and try to turn on pc...if u get beep sound that means ur mother board is fine ..then chk with each and every ram one by one plugging in slot and boot up....chk if it works..WHEN U CONNECT RAM AND BOOT UR PC IT SHOULD NOT BEEP AT ALL.....if still same issue then get flash light and flash on screen chk if you are able to read or see any thing on screen....if that is the case then its issue with lcd panel...

You can't use a simple VGA to DVI adapter, since VGA doesn't have the digital video signals needed by Apple displays. You need a VGA to DVI converter, such as

After installing the new software to my iPhone 4S , my dream zoo either will not start or when it does it has a blank screen that has a few icons on it that wont work. How can I fix this is it possible to go back and reinstall the older software ?
Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

Anyone know if this can be fixed? I have had this laptop for 2 years and absolutely love it. Last night it slipped off my lap and onto the floor (carpet) now it has a blank screen.

You may want to try this.
Solution A
Start up your MBP while pressing Option (alt)|, Command, P, R until your hear 3 chimes rather than 2 as indicated by apple. This worked for me the first time.
Solution B
Start your MBP while pressing Option (alt), Command, S
Hold until you see the computer automatic routine. When it finally stops type the following followed by "return":
fsck -fy
It will probably indicate some problem related to "pcscd.pub" (should be 16 instead of 17). I haven't figured out what this means but somewhere in the Internet i read it is related to scan cards...
More importantly this routine will fix any problems with your HDD similarily to disk repair. When it ends, it will tell you if it has fixed/modified anything. If it has, run the routine again by typing again "fsck -fy"
Lastly, reboot by typing "reboot" (followed by "return")
Solution C
Start up your MBP while pressing option (alt), command, S
hold keys until you see computer commands scrolling
when the routine stops type the following, each line followed by the "return" key:
mount -uw /
chmod 775 /
chmod 1775 /
reboot
After which your computer should reboot on it's own.
Each of the above has worked for me at one time or another. Once your computer has rebooted from the DVD you can reinstall OS X. If your problems started after installing 10.5.6, then I don't suggest updating until 10.5.5.
I'm very very disappointed with my 2007 MBP, it started to give me problems after 1 year. had to change the HDD and lately when I isntalled 10.5.6 it suddenly refused to start up., My previous Mac laptop (2003 866Mhz) worked for 4 years without a hitch. Ironically I've had to use it to access the internet and find solutions for my current MBP.

My iPad only has a blank screen. If you press the two buttons to try to get it to restart all you get is a faint light for al few seconds and then it goes back to a black screen. I did try to restore by hooking up to my mac, but I still have nothing.
First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Hold those buttons a long time before letting them go. Also it might be best to leave the iPad on the charger overnight before resetting it.
If this doesn't work, it's time to make an appointment at an Apple store for a Consultation. -

Remove and reinsert the battery.
This should work.
It could just be the phone needed to reset after a software update.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Time Machine backup will not complete
