First I get a window that says
failed to connect to a window service --windows could not connect to the system event notification svc. This problem prevents standard user from logging into the system. as an administrator you can review the system event log for details about why the service didn't respond.

The Internet is not available and the troubleshooter does not work. I get this error when I try to connect to Internet;
ERROR 137 (net::ERR-NAME-RESOLUTION_FAILED) unknown error
I cannot run any diagnostics. I get this:
An error occurred while troubleshooting. Then it says Diagnostics troubleshooting wizard has stopped working. A prooblem has caused the system to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and nootify you if a solution is available.

I restarted with the same result.
I tried to do a startup repair and it said no problem was detected.
Yesterday I had a problem where the cursor moved but nothing was clickable. I could not detect a problem, so I did a system restore to oct. 1 and it seemed to work. The only thing added yesterday was malwarebytes. I scanned with that program and removed one item, but I cannot remember what it was.
I ran an AVG virus scan and it detected no viruses.
I have the same issues in safe mode.
When I go to services.msc it says it is "starting" and I cannot restart it.

Do you have any login items listed in the Accounts pane of your System Preferences? If so, disable them and restart to see if that clears the message. If so, then re-enable them one by one and restart to see which one it is.
In doing a Google search, that message appears to come from an AppleScript. So perhaps you have an AppleScript running at login that needs to be modified to be compatible with Tiger...

I'm trying to connect/disconnect services through apple script, here is the error I'm getting for "Ethernet" "AirPort" (these services are configured in services tab)
I am able to manualy On/Off these services without supplying admin password, therefore it might not be privilages issue.

(without 'using "Corel Painter 8"')
As far as the Finder is concerned, "Corel Painter 8" is just a string of characters. And telling the Finder to open a file is just the same as double-clicking it: the Finder knows which app to use - as long as these are native Corel Painter 8 docs.

Windows 8.1 - Windows Couldn't connect to the System Event Notification Service service

I have an issue that has been bothering me for a while on new 8.1 computers. Standard users are not able to log into the computer on the first try consistently. They receive the error message: Group Policy client service failed the sign-in access is
denied. They are stuck at the logon screen.
If an administrator logs in (local or domain), they can log in but get a black desktop with two error messages. The first is Location is Not available - C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. The second error message is a popup
balloon. It states "Failed to Connect to a Windows service. Windows couldn't connect to the System Event Notification Service service."
When a standard user attempts to log in, event viewer records three warnings. They are listed in order from oldest to newest
The winlogon notification subscriber <Profiles> was unavailable to handle a critical notification event. -Logged 9:14:44

After a reboot, users still have the issue. I noticed that the user profile services and system event notification service are not running though their startup type is automatic. They start after a minute or two.

Based on your description ,I assume it is a domain environment .First of all ,I would suggest you to try to update all the machine .

Do you mean all the Windows 8.1 machine share the same symptom or just a specific one ?Did the machine work correctly before ?When did the issue start to occur ?Have you installed any third party software before ?Can we operate the machine when we login with
an administrator account ?
If the issue occurred with the specific machine :
"The first is Location is Not available - C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable."
Please try the following suggestions if we can operate the machine when we login with the administrator account :
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile and verify if it has the Desktop folder there.If the folder doesn`t exit, we can copy from C:\users\Default\Desktop location(This folder is hidden by default).
We also can try the following suggestions to have a troubleshoot :
1.Run "sfc /scannow"or "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" to check the health of the system files.
2.Perform a full scan with an antivirus software.
3."They start after a minute or two."
I suspect there is a third party service confilct here. Please perform a clean boot to verify whether there is a third party conflict here .

If the issue occurred with multiple machines in the domian ,I would suggest you to check whether you have configured any logon scripts and logon group policy .We can remove the machine from the domain to have a troubleshoot .
If the issue occurred recently ,we can perform a system restore to recover the machine to a previous normal point.

NetBT 4321 Errors in Member Server's System Event Logs

I've searched high and low and can't find a resolution to this issue. We have approximately 30 windows server 2003 servers, most R2, all SP2. We have 2 domain controllers - 10.0.0.10 & 10.0.0.11 (the first one holds the PDC role).
In the System event log of nearly all the member servers is the NetBT 4321 error, with the following text:
"The name "OURDOMAIN :1d" could not be registered on the Interface with IP address 10.0.0.43. The machine with the IP address 10.0.0.10 did not allow the name to be claimed by this machine."
On each machine the first IP mentioned is always that machine's IP (10.0.0.43 in this case), with the second one (the one not allowing 1d to be registered) being the PDC emulator's IP (10.0.0.10). Now I can understand why this is failing - these machines are all on the same subnet and I would guess that the domain (1d) should only be registered by the PDC emulator anyway. What I can't work out is why these errors started appearing about 3 months ago - we can't work out what, if any, change occured at that time.
We run a DNS-only environment (no WINS), 2k3 Native domain. We're looking to upgrade to a 2k8 Native domain (ie upgrading our DCs) but are wanting to get this niggling issue sorted first.

I've tried to update the "SRW224G4P_SRW248G4P_image_v1310.bix" file using Xmodem download, but since I really wasn't sure how to use this boot loader tool, I haven't been successful at doing that, nor do I even know if that's the solution for the problem that I'm having.

I'm guessing that I'll need to contact Cisco tech support, although at least through their web site, they make that nearly impossible to accomplish.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what may have happened to our switch and what I should do to recover? Of course we're about to start a time-critical round of product testing, and without this switch, I'm dead in the water. And it's not like we have a spare 48-port PoE switch lying around.

Windows Updater Not Installing and Troubleshooter Wizard Is Not Working???

I am in need help desperately!
        I have tried to install the Windows 7 latest update since late October 2014 and every time that I have tried it has failed, this is messing with certain programs to either not run such as my Troubleshooter,
leaving me unable to fix the issue, and making my computer to run poorly as well as when I am on Firefox unable to load pages, do downloads, watch movies & TV, or watch videos on You Tube without having to move the mouse around to keep it running and just
freeze the picture on the You Tube and Xfinity but the sound keeps playing though. I am unable to run the Troubleshooter Wizard at all; gives me an error code 0x80131018. I have gone to the forums to find a solution I tried everything possible. Such
as trying to do all the maintenance; disc clean ups, compressing files to save on space, checking the disc drives for errors, defragmenting the drives, try to use the Fix It (MicrosoftFixit.malware.RNP.1343648269423620.1.1.Run, as well as: MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall.RNP.1343648269423620.2.1.Run,
as well as: MicrosoftFixit.wu.FISC.1341772369343897.1.1.Run,   and: MicrosoftFixit50123) all the these would not help.

I recently had a similar problem - Windows 7 Ultimate. Apart from updates not installing and troubleshooters not running I started getting crashes and BSOD's
I checked that my Cryptographic services was set to auto (it was)
Press the 'Windows key" and and key "R" together   to launch the RUN box. Type
services.msc in the box and press Enter. It'll open Services Manager.
Scroll down to "Cryptographic Services" in the list. It should be set to Auto ( mine was)
I then checked my Windows updates to see when the problem started
Taking the bull by the horns I deleted the last 20 updates installed.
I restarted the computer and was amazed to find the troubleshooters working ok
I downloaded the Windows updates and installed them 5 at a time checking the troubleshooter after each batch. Everything was ok .
I can only assume the troublesome update was not re-offered or the one that installed itself was corrupt.

ASN Error on Save / publish -"Posting Illegal Statement" ABAP Runtime error

Hi All,
I am working on the ASN Scenario in SNC 7.0. Whenever I create an ASN in the SNC web UI and Save or/and Publish it, the following actions occur:
1. I get the message "ASN got saved / published successfully" in the SNC Web UI
2. Everytime I do this, a ABAP runtime error gets logged in the system. The Runtime Error is "Posting_Illegal_Statement" (seen under ST22)
3. I do not see any XML messages in SXI_Monitor.
4. I do not see any log entries in SLG1
Can anyone explain how to debug this error and what may be the possible causes for this error?
Also can anyone explain how to send the XML messages manually using the report "/N/SCA/DLV_PUBLISH". Whats the config / action needed to trigger the XML and send it to PI?

I have had the same problem. The ASN coding crashed and I could not reprocess the ASN posting within the PPF.
The ABAP /SCA/DLV_PUBLISH checks, wether the ASN is meant to be sent by the PPF. Just overwrite the check within the debugger and the ASN will be posted via a XML message.
Set gs_dlv-send_mode to 'D' within the debugger.
In ABAP

This error pops upon every restart of Windows Server 2012.

The process failed to handle ERROR_ELEVATION_REQUIRED during the creation of a child process.
Event Viewer traces user to S-1-5-18 SYSTEM, Execution ProcessID in Task Manager corresponds to SVCHOST.EXE.
SYSTEM is the owner of SVCHOST.EXE, even having granted SYSTEM permission Full Control does not fix the error.
Any help will be appreciated.

I doubted if any of those would actually need the ElevateCreateProcess fix.
However, I gave it a try, applying the compatibility fixes at Server 2003 and Vista SP2 levels; yet the error was not corrected.
So, combing through those services seemed unavoidable. Eventually, the culprit was identified.
For the benefits of people encountering the same issue, this may help save some clueless efforts.
Somehow, Windows Server setup a RaMgmtUIRestartTask in Task Scheduler, to run ramgmtui.exe as Administrators at log on of any user; but, not granting it the necessary permission. It is supposed to start the Remote Access Management console, failing which
it logs the Event ID 1 Error, and gives little hint on the whereabouts of the cause.
To stop the error, one would simply locate the scheduled task, then have it disabled, or check the option to grant it the highest privilege.

AppleScript 10.9.0 System Events -10006 Update property list file item

AppleScript: System Events - delete

I've been trying to get System Events delete command to accept multiple files and no matter how I try to preset the files to the delete command I get an error.
According to the dictionary entry for System Events - delete it would appear it should take multiple files:
delete v : Delete disk item(s).
delete disk item : The disk item(s) to be deleted.
This is what I have

Now if I do
delete item 1 of ss
the file is deleted. Also if I do a repeat through the list I can delete each file.
I've tried every which way I can thing of to play with the list to get multiple files to delete with no success. But I have to admit that file references still send me to the book to get it right.
So what basic bit of AppleScript vodoo am I missing or is this one of those cases where the dictionary does not match the code?

The only way I've ever been able to get that to work is to do the delete immediately:
tell application "System Events"
delete (disk items of desktop folder whose name contains "Screen Shot" and name extension = "png")
end tell
it seems that when you store it into a variable, system events no longer accepts it. The only reason I can think for this is that the scripting dictionary asks for a disk item rather than a list of disk items. It's possible that editing the scriptSuite files to tell it to accept a list would solve the issue, but I've never experimented.

Cannot connect to the phone system. An unidentified error has occurred, Please try again.

Issue: Lync 2013 users with remote call control enabled cannot connect to the phone system. When the user logs into Lync, they see an exclamation in the bottom right corner
with this error.

Environment:
1 site: Site1
2 Pools:
1. Lync 2010
Trusted application is added here for the site.
2. Lync 2013
Avaya phone system: AES r6-1-2-32-0
I have not moved the trusted application to the Lync 2013 pool yet, but my understanding is that it should still work since it’s in the site. Is my understanding on this correct? (All of my other trusted applications do work for Lync 2013
users & none of them have been moved yet. Remote Call Control is the only one that does not work.)

To better understand the issue, I would like to collect the following information for troubleshooting:
1. Do you mean the Lync 2010 user can connect to the Phone System?
2. What’s next hop pool of the application?
In a mixed environment, you must set the next hop pool to be the Lync Server 2013 pool.
