TouchSmart IQ820uk Windows 7

Bluetooth printer drivers.  Used to have them but disappeared.  Now I need them for my smart phone.
Please help.
Someone said that 64bit does not support bluetooth.  If that is true how can you circumvent this?  (Cry!)

Hello djoerk:
No problem. Goto devices and printers click on it. When next windows opens click on add a device. Turn on your phone enable blue tooth featues on your phone as well. Your computer will discover the phone and download the driver for. Ounce that it is finnished You will see it listed now put a check mark on it. It it will tell you it is ready to use now. You can also wire it directly into your computer as well.

Avermedia (A327) Hybrid mini Pcie Tv Tuner (NTSC/ATSC)
I purchase this system used without an operating system. I installed windows 7 and downloaded the drivers from Hp. All drivers are installed properly and the Avermedia (A327) mini card driver can be seen in device manager.
Yet, the A327 tv tuner will not give me access to the s-video input. I can get tv thru the rf connection but I want to use the s-video because it has a cleaner signal.
Any information about the s-video port will be appreciated..
    Thank you..

    Hi Cnmarsh,
I understand you are having an issue with the Touchsmart Iq506t with  Windows 7, unable to access s-video input from Windows Media Center.
I read from your post that drivers are installed properly and the Aver media mini card drivers are seen in device manager.
I was wondering if the any of the drivers in Device Manager have a Yellow caution?
Also, is the Touchsmart Iq506t software all up to date?
You could try to download and run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool with this link.

i have a touchsmart running windows 7 and i cannot get my screen saver to work

Hello. You need to change the energy use setting that computer uses max it out. Then it will work just fine. My is touchsmart 600-1050. The computer was preset to use minimum amount of electricity when in idle. I changed all the setting to high. Now every thing runs just like a Windows XP version computer. Thats how I got my screen savors to work. I also upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 7 Ultimate now I am able to run a lot more XP software. Test your pond screen saver make sure that working with windows open. That will tell you if it is a software issue if it doesn't work. That is the case then restore it from your D: drive.

  • HP Photosmart C7200 series will not install on HP TouchSmart PC windows 7

I just bought a HP Touchsmart computer.  I have a HP Photosmart C7200 series printer.  The cd for this  printer will not install because it does not support windows 7.  Is there a fix for this.

Have you tried looking at the support pages for your printer? that's where you will find the drivers, not here.

  • Touchsmart and Windows 8

Im looking at a new Touchsmart (420-1100) and plan to upgrade to windows 8 but i keep reading stuff about how the screens wont work well for windows8 because of something to do with the "bezel" around it.....is this true? and should i wait for a true Windows 8 computer to come out?

I agree with ToddWasHere. I have used Windows 8 on one of these devices, and I can explain:
The "bezel" is the border around the lit area of the screen. The majority, if not all, of the Windows 7-era TouchSmart desktop models have a bezel that stands 1/4 inch or so off the screen, such that it's hard to put your fingers into the actual edges or corners of the screen, and it's not very precise at the edge/corners either (try it.) Although this is not a show-stopper for using Windows 8, you will not really get comfortable using touchscreen 100% of the time. Some of the navigation gestures were designed for devices where you can swipe from off the screen to on the screen; this bezel makes it tricky. (Although with some patience, it can still be done.)
The second issue is that the touch screen is 2-touch-point optical and so quite "jittery." It is no capacitive touchscreen like on the Surface or we're starting to see in 23" sizes.
In all honesty I find using Windows 8 with the mouse/keyboard with the TouchSmart desktop quite comfortable. You can then switch to touch once you've selected the app/game you want to use, and back to mouse if you have to switch apps. The kids love it.

We have two computers in the office, and i am usually on our dell comp, while my bf uses the touchsmart. We just came home to find that our computer had shut itself off on its own. upon starting it, the computer would only get as far as showing the HP screen (a blue screen with a hand and objects flowing from the hand) and the four menu options { F10: setup" esc: boot menu' F11 system recovery F9 :diagnostics}. At the bottom right side of the screen it also says v 5.10. Now, when we have pressed any of the options, the computer does nothing. It would appear that perhaps the computer can not tell windows 7 to boot or something. Unfortunately we do not have the install disc either...  Any thoughts?
Seems like it's stuck at the POST Screen, and nothing's responding.
I suggest removing all the USB and peripherals plugged into the PC and leave only the power and the USB keyboard receiver- nothing else.
Then try turning on the computer, if it doesn't work, I don't think there's any fix except to keep trying.
If you can get in, i suggest making a backup as soon as you can.
After that, if it still does it, then call HP at 1-866-408-5408 or chat with them at : http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/contact/chat_1.html

  • Touchsmart IQ506 Windows 8 upgrade crashed my system-please help

I have the touchsmart IQ506 and recently upgraded to windows 8. It has crashed my system and I've spent hours on the phone with microsoft. How can I fix my computer? I've reinstalled windows 8 seven times...

The following weblink will suggest whether HP has tested your system for Windows 8:
    http://www8.hp.com/us/en/ad/windows-8/instructions.html
If your system is not tested, HP will not release the drivers directly for your model through HP.com website.
The following weblink will suggest if your system is compatible with Windows 8:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/upgrade-to-windows-8
If your system is compatible with Windows 8, most of the drivers would be available through Windows 8 & windows update. If you need any specific drivers, please follow these steps:
    1. In the Run box type devmgmt.msc.
    2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.
    3. Select the unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.
    4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id  or Hardware ID from the drop down.
    5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.
    6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.

  • Routine system maintenance on TouchSmart with Windows 7

I'm a long-time XP user accustomed to using Ccleaner, Defraggler, etc., for routine cleanup and maintenance.  My new TouchSmart 300 has Windows 7 (64 bit) and of course HP's advisor and weekly system check.  I'm wondering if I should download Ccleaner or does the HP software include a preferable cleanup utility?  As to defragging, is that still necessary with Windows 7?

Found my own answer to new defrag options in Windows 7, so all I'm really in need of is best cleanup recommendations for Windows 7 and/or TouchSmart.

  • TouchSmart IQ524 Windows 7 Upgrade (64bit)

Just did a clean sweep from Vista OS to Windows 7 OS.
Everything seems to be working per Original Vista OS.
Be sure to  download all current drivers & updates (everything).
I would suggest creating a master folder for all updates and then save each update into separately named folders by category and by update name/date (time consuming - i know).
When installing I would suggest starting with "Software & Solutions" folder first..
In order for all the other updates to install there is a particular update in this folder that needs to be run/installed FIRST.
I believe it is the 2010-02-04 TouchSmart Application Update.
About 2/3 of these updates will not install until this file is installed and updated.
You will get a message indicating that the update does not comply with system requirements.
In case the 2010-02-04 file is incorrect try them all and afterwards go back and install those that did not work the first time.
That's the hardway and why I suggest saving each update to separate folders so you can identify those that installed vs. those that did not.....Good Luck!!!

I gave up on windows 7 upgrade.  Venders for some devices have not even supplied drivers for some things yet.  Very untimely and too much of a rush to windows upgrade always a problem.  "If not broken don't mess with it."  Someone said that awhile back and that is the best advise.

  • TouchSmart 520 Windows 7 Home premium Problems after critical updates

After my TouchSmart 520 auto ran critical updates on 13 Feb 2013,I cannot connect to Internet at all.It was still able to connect to my home wireless network.
I did a systerm recovery, to restore up to just before the critical updates on 13 Feb, then it's able to connect to internet. After that, it auto ran critical updates 2 times, and the same problem started.I have done the system recovery again and  now turn off the downloading and installation of critical updates completely, but this should not be long term solution.
Has anyone encounter same problem or is able to help me on this? What else do I need to do?
    Appreicate any help.TIA!

    Hello sgcosimo,
You’re not able to connect to the internet after updates have run. I’ve had that happen before and usually Microsoft will send out an update that fixes the problem a few days later.
You can try to run the updates again to see if you still get the error.
If you’re still not able to get online, go into device manger and uninstall the Wi-Fi adapter and restart the computer.
Here is a link to uninstall the adapter.
Let me know if this helps.

    Zareeba, welcome to the forum.
Is this the software that you installed?  If not, try installing it.  If so, reinstall it.  It is an update for Win 7.
To test the webcam, you can always use Skype.  It is easy to setup and use.
