TouchSmart Notes App issue

Question

Just bought IQ506 yesterday and the notes app will not work.  I can delete the pre-created notes but when I try to create my own or edit the pre-created ones, I select "Done" and nothing happens.  Contacted HP twice, installed all updates and tried re-installing to factory settings.  Nothing has worked. 
Also, My notes does not have the ability to create a video note (no icon).  My notes version is 2.0.2043.26666
Any ideas?

yeah i thought it might have been a typo
I checked to see if i had a webcam option to create a note but only have a ""note"" and ""microphone"" option - should webcam exist? it's a good idea to have a webcam note option too...
I also found another bug with notes just now... if you are currently in Notes and then switch to another user and add a note, it works fine - i then tried deleting it and i got this error:

After I clicked OK Touchsmart return to home and other controls went missing - i had to CTRL+ALT+DEL then select Task Manager and logoff the user to be able to gain any control of the session...
