TouchSmart Recipe Box

For some reason my internet is too slow for me watch videos. I want to know how to add recipes to recipe box. There is no where in the app where I can click that says add recipe. All I can do is look at the very few recipes that came with it.
Help!

Magic canvas recipe box

I just got a galaxy tablet and would like to transfer the recipes from the magic canvas recipe box either directly to the tablet or to a thumb drive. I can't figure out how to go about it. I have Windows 7. I was successful with the pdf files. Any help will be appreciated.

I understand you want to transfer your recipes in your HP TouchSmart Recipes Box app to your tablet.
To the best of my knowledge, and I don't have a touchsmart accessible to me at the moment, but it seems the recipes are not exportable based on this option being excluded from this document.

Recipe Box Crashes on Recipe Edit

After successfully visiting a site and saving a recipe, trying to change the name crashes the program. When you return the recipe is gone (but apparently still there as indicated by trying to re-enter the same recipe - recipe exists message).
The program crashes and there is no error message. I use a HP Touchsmart Q600 with Win 7 Home Premium.
Tried the hp techs via chat and reinstall was the most useful option. I do have IE9 (beta at the time of this post) and changed to Firefox as my default browser and the problem still exists.
I was able to go and reinsert the recipes that I lost by slight altering the name, but still want to see I can get to a fix for the issue so my wife can put stuff in and not get frustrated. Soon as she sees one message that will be the end for the Recipe Box as she has no tolerance for anything like this

i have the same problem, touchsmart v3 and v4..looses all my recipes when i change catagoreis..techsupport was frustrating all they want to do is take the easy way and reinstall everything......All I wanted to find my recipes - i dont have a copyof them because the program does not have a print feature that I can find....??
I Found a copy of my recipes under C:/ ProgramData/ TouchSmartData /recipes_en
I then looked in c:/ ProgramData/ TouchSmartData /recipes --- the catagories were missing along with some of my recipes? I copied the catagories from recipes_en to the recipes.....Recipes directory did not have all my recipies that were located under recipes_en... I copied those over as well.....and it worked...
the program now opens my recipes..
So frustrating and unacceptable,,.
Are these folders suppose to be sync.....Why does the recipe folder loose everything at the blink of an eye....??? major glitch..

Recipe Box

How do you print a recipe from Recipe Box. Computer is not near my kitchen so not convenient to use on screen but I like the program.
Also, is there a way to export recipes that are put in the Recipe Box to another program for use/printing if it is not possible to print from Recipe Box.

Alternate way to print from Recipe Box:
1. Open Receipe application from Touchsmart Window
2. Open the Receipt which you want to print
3. Press Alt+Print Screen keys on the keyboard
4. Minimize touchsmart application
5. Open MSPAINT
6. Press CTRL+V (This will paste the screenshot of the recipe)
7. Click on File and select print

Can't Find Recipe Box after upgrade to Windows 7

I own a TouchSmart IQ526. Recently upgraded to Windows 7 and TouchSmart 3.0 software but cannot find the Recipe Box application. The following page says there's a download:

ok, here is word for word as much as i can, if you can't follow this then get your Touchsmart PC, put it back in the packaging it came with and sell it on ebay or seriously get friend who has some computer literacy that can help out...

Hp recipe box

Hello,
For some reason my HP Recipe box doesn't seem to detect recipes ANYWHERE. Yes, I did relaunch it in Windows 8 mode, I've tried everything - different browsers, different websites - but it always has the same message - 'Hp recipe box did not detect any recipes on this site...' (or some message to that effect).
I'm completely tired and frustrated of always having to 'Snap and save' it's such a waste of my time
Anyone else face the same problem? Any solutions?

Recipe Box is G-O-N-E!

Help!!! I just upgraded to 8PRO, and can't find a lot of the old HP stuff mainly the recipe box. I had an old family recipe on there that I needed for the holidays, and I don't know how to retrive it from the computer. I did a general search but could not find it.
Anybody please help!!!

go to your pc C: drive and look for old.windows and all your files should be there if you done the upgrade disc and not using the full version

HP Recipe Box add new category

I have tried to add a new category however I cannot add a category name. Please help!

Hi,
From the Start screen, click the HP Recipe Box tile.
In HP Recipe Box, right-click on any blank area of the screen.
In the options bar that opens, click + New Category. A blank category form opens.
Enter the category name in the field at the top of the form.
Add a photo by clicking the Change Photo button. Navigate to the desired photo, click the photo, and then click Open.
If desired, click the Change Color button, select a color, and then click the Choose Color button.
On the category form, click Create Category.
The new category appears under Categories.
Click the new category to open it. Follow the directions in this document to add recipes:

TouchSmart Photo App and Support for PNG files?

Please, somebody tell me that I'm crazy and that the TouchSmart Photo app really can be made to support PNG file types! If not, who designed this software!? Can't browse the network for content stored on an HP MediaSmart Server. Can't view PNG files in the Photo application. What else can't this software do!?

So, are you saying that PNG file types are supported in some versions of the Photo App and I don't have the correct version? Or in other words, what am I missing?
