Tour de Flex "Comments" button

Hi,
I'm still working with Tour de Flex and i noticed another little issue ^^
On the Web version the "Comments" button is desabled if there is no dedicated post to comment. However on the AIR version the button is enabled and when you click on it you have a little error message poping.
Problem is the message is hidden by samples (see the picture).
I guess the web version way of dealing with missing comments link should be ported to the AIR version

Toggle Layout button in Tour De Flex

I am a newbie, in TourDeFlex desktop application, I am very interested the Toggle Layout button function at the upper right cornor. Can anyone tell me how to realize the toggle effect? and what are those UI controls (besides the left tree control) used by TourDeFlex application? Thanks.

Hi Colin,
The Tour de Flex web version uses a Flex with iFrame implementation. I created it based on an original implementation by Christophe Coenraets using Flex with iFrames awhile back so I imagine it is probably a similar implementation to the Google code API you referenced since that also appears to be based on Christophe's work. However, I have been asked by many to share that piece of code and the implementation I specifically used for Tour de Flex, so I will do that in case it helps. I know that I had to jump through a lot of hoops and bug fixing to make it work right. Perhaps it could help shed some light on where to add more handling code for your specific use.

Acrobat v 9 pro unable to see review & comments button

Using standard acrobat 5 SDK we have build an extension plugin for loading annotations when opening a document in IE browser, and similarly on click of save it stores the annotations back. This works fine with acrobat 6.0 pro but in 8 and 9 its not working. In 9.0, we do not see the review & comments when we open the plugin in IE. But we are able to open existing annotations and edit existing comments. We need to know what API changes are done between 6 and 8. If any of the 5.x SDK has been desupported and hwo do we get the comments button comeup in IE.

Add comments button not visible for IE and firefox users?

hi.. i've used iweb 06 v 1.1.2 to create a small website and blog, with 'add comments' buttons on the blog pages. when i view my website from my own laptop with safari i can see and use the add comments button, but when i view the website from pcs running internet explorer, or from my own or another mac laptop running firefox the add comments buttons are not there. any ideas why this should be and how i can solve it?

Publish Comments Button not Active

I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro Ink and my publish comments button in not active how can I get it active so i can add comments to a shared review

Publish comments remains inactive till you have not added any new comment/modified any existing comment.

Intermittent problem- send or comment buttons will not work- Reboot only sometimes fixes- does not happen in IE

Recently I have found that when in FB- the 'send' or 'comment' buttons do NOT work. I have also just found that the X along side a post - to get the dropdown to hide, etc- does not work either.
I have logged of and back on. I have closed firefox and restarted. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc. and then restarted firefox. Nothing works. It seems like this happened a few times and when I came back to the computer after several hours, it was ok. Most of the time I have to reboot.
While this is happening, some other functions work fine. For instance, if I click on HOME or PROFILE it works. Only seems to be the 'buttons'.
What's making me really crazy is that it is intermittent! And when it happens, if I open IE (ugh) it works fine.
Only fixes found at FB are to clear cache, cookies, etc. which I have already stated do nothing at all. Any ideas?

Tour de Flex app and plugin crash

I launch Tour de Flex in Mac OS with latest version of AIR
installed and I get this error:
This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot
be found.
Please download the latest version of the runtime from
http://www.adobe.com/go/getair,
or contact the application author for an updated version.
Please help!

Weird - it doesn't require any specific version of AIR.
Are you guys running AIR 1.1 or 1.5?
Is it only when launched from Eclipse or standalone or both?

Solution is very simple, just uncheck the "Group items by category" to display last version of Tour de Flex feauture which is default checked
and if you uncheck the "Show only the latest versions.." you will see all other versions.

"Send Comments" button missing in Acrobat 9

I have seen several other people with the same problem, just wondering if there is a solution. We have Acrobat 9 pro and we need to use the email review collaboration tool. When I send off a document for email review, the recipient person with Acrobat 9 does not get the "Send Comments" button. I have already check to make sure Java was check in the preferences and that all of the extend features and security options are correct. We updated recently from using Acrobat version 8 to 9. This feature worked fine in version 8. I have tried this on multiple machines with multiple individuals and it does not show up under any circumstances. Any suggestions?

I guess I will answer my own question. The problem stems from selections made when installing. Our enterprise edition had access points to adobe.com disabled which is selection option you get when installing. The solution is a simple registry change. The send comments button is present now.
For Acrobat pro 9 users
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Workflows ] “bEnableWorkflowPart”=dword:00000000 to 1
For systems with Acrobat Reader, use the following:

Error when using a Tour de Flex effect in my page

Hi,
I'm trying to use a 3DCube effect for my states. I found the animation in tour de flex and I downloaded the project.
After I import it, I couldn't try it. I have the following error :

Add Comment button only works on .mac domain

I have a personal domain through Apple, and the add comment button only works when i go to my .mac domain. When I go through my personal domain it says error!

Yep.
Those needed files are not served by your iDisk. They are served using Apple servers and only work for .Mac (iDisk) accounts.

Twitter in the Tour de Flex no connect

Hi,
I downloaded and installed in FLEX 4 the sample to connect to Twitter existing in the Tour de Flex,
and I do not work, when I enter the username and password is put on hold with the clock,
if I try to go directly to the Tour de Flex the program made the same.
My username and password are correct in Twitter.
Does anyone know what can be the problem?

OSX and Tour De Flex Issues

I am having all kinds of issues with Tour De Flex examples on OSX and Safari. Is any one else having issues? Issues are speed, lockups and functionality of the examples. I am not sure if it is just the Apple and Adobe war.

Yeah - the issue started with Safari 5. We're looking into it...but it appears to be a bug in the way iframes are handled in Safari 5.
In the meantime, you can use Firefox or better yet, download and install the desktop version of Tour de Flex (AIR app). The desktop version has additional samples, most of which are in the AIR category.

Tour De' Flex

The Tour De' Flex application is really outstanding, but why
wasn't it also deployed as a web-based app? Where I work, we're
unable to just install any app we want because our "base line" is
locked down so I have no way to leverage the benefits this
application provides where I really could use it. Any chance Tour
De' Flex could also be published as a web-based app soon?

We are hoping to do a web-based version soon. Obviously it
won't include the AIR samples but it could include all of the Flex
samples. It would be a great on-ramp to the AIR version.
We started with the AIR app so we could showcase AIR.
I'll be making an announcement in January on this.
