Townsend Cafe Tutorial - in CS3? Where?

I have Fireworks 8 running at home and have used the fine
tutorial of the "Townsend Cafe" to practice setting up site
graphics;
I wanted to use this with some students, but the school lab
has CS3 (soon to be CS4). I see the Townsed Cafe files there, but
when I go to Help, I don't find the totorial which uses those
files. Am I missing something?
I thought of copying my FW8 files, but couldn't find the FW
Help. DW has its Help files right in the directory. Where are they
for FW? How can I use this with my students? Anyone know?

Regarding CAF Tutorial

Hi,
Is there any link available in sdn where i can get sample applications on Composite application services (CAS), mainly on the core part so that i can get some hands on practice on the programming part of CAF .
For webdynpro for java we can get lots of sample applications .
I tried searching in sdn .There are lots of PDF documents on GP and visual composer but very few are on CAS . Sample applications are not available at all .

I have completed the tutorial Adobe LR5 Classroom in a Book. I have a MacBook Pro. Every photo that I import from either my hard drive or the tutorial has red where white should be. What in the world am I doing?

I have installed LR5 on my MacBook Pro. I have completed a book that had online tutorials called Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Classroom in a Book. All of my photos that are in my tutorial and the ones that I have imported from my hard drive have red on them where white should be. I see this immediately when switching from Library to Develop before I do anything to the photo except import it. I would appreciate any tips!

You are seeing red because that is the color of the clipping indicator. It is indicating that the whites are being clipped. You can turn off the clipping indicator by clicking on the little square in the upper right-hand corner of the histogram. Or you can adjust your highlights, whites and exposure until the red disappears. If you see blue on your photos that is indicating that the shadows are being clipped, and that is controlled by the little square in the upper left-hand corner of the histogram.
As a side note, you can activate or deactivate both clipping indicators by simply pressing the J key while in the develop module.

In Katie's Cafe tutorial, how did she create her color sample?

In the Adobe Muse tutorial for Katie's Cafe. How was the color sample created. She just had us drag it onto our Muse document, but how was the color palette created initially so that it can be used in your Muse document?

I think I figured out the solution to the problem people are having. It has to do with the order that you do things when you try to bring in colors from somewhere else. If you try to just take colors from somewhere else (ie copy and past them) muse will not recognize them as swatches and even if you take the colors and put them in rectangles in muse and save them to a library muse will still not recognize them as swatches. What you have to do to create a color set like she did in the tutorial is as follows....
Copy/Paste your colors into muse
Make rectangle objects in muse that contain the colors
Open up the swatches window and click add swatch
Select one of the colors you added - click ok
Repeat this process for all the color rectangles you have made
Now you can use the selection tool to select all the colors you made and create a library with them that will work.
The issue people seem to be having (and that I myself had) is that when you just copy/paste colors into muse it does not automatically make a swatch for the new color. When she uses the swatch library in the demo it does add the swatches automatically. This happens because she went through the process of creating the swatches in muse first (which you are never shown) and not just copy/pasting the colors from some other program.

CAF Tutorial - My First Process

Hi All,
I'm getting this strange error, I am following the My First Process tutorial, I can create a Content Package Object, when I try to upload the StartPage.htm, I follow the steps, hit "add" then the screen just goes back to the upload file page (no "done" button appears) and it acts as if I haven't uploaded a file yet..
Am I missing some roles or something to allow me to upload a file? In the details section of this content object i did make sure to give myself full control over this object, not sure if that helps.
I'm running ESS 60.1 on a EP7 installation

Did you update the SMTP host by logging into the Visual Admin (Server-> services-> caf/eu/gp/model).
Also, for the id with which you logged in, make sure you give first name, last name and email.

Tutorial Pictures are Where?

Where are the pictures referred to in the tutorials? How do I get them?
In the View and Organize - Help - Tutorials - Tutorial 2: says navigate to Program Files/Adobe/photoshop 4.0/tutorials to get the pictures. In this tutorial folder, I do not have the San Francisco Collection, nor the Boy and Girl on a Carousel or others referred to in the tutorials These are not there.
I do have in this folder: a Car Folder, Basket, Doll, Car show, hats, jumping man

1) Close the program DreamWeaver
2) Take three files “Format Table.htm”,

Problems with CAF tutorial 85 Using RFCs as External Services

Has anybody managed to follow this to the end successfully? I have managed to get to the last step. When I try to test in the Service Browser with a valid userId I get the following error:
"ERROR. Mandatory attribute userId value is missing".
I have definitely got a valid userId; it seems as if it is not being mapped to the input of the BAPI.
Any suggestions how to proceed?

Actually there is a little more detail here: if I pass in a definitely invalid userId eg 'Fred', I get the error message:
"ERROR: User FRED does not exist".
Which is the message in the RETURN table of the BAPI.
This means that the BAPI must have received the input parameter.
However, when I pass in my own userId (which I tested in the BAPI already from the SAP GUI), it gives me the error mentioned in the first post:
"ERROR. Mandatory attribute userId value is missing".
So this implies to me that the error message is a bit of a red herring, since the first case clearly demonstrated that the userId was being passed into the BAPI.
Any suggestions for follow up?

Help using Dreamweaver cs3 tutorial, chapter 8, opening browser window dialog box

Hello,
I am using the adobe classroom in a book tutorial for cs3 and have run into a snafu on page 188 of chapter 8. I have tried to select the + sign under the smaller top photo to create a pop-up window. when I select the + sign I cannot access the open browser window dialog box to enter info. I cannot seem to use the link field in the property inspector for this. The link area under source will not come up, just the link over target, which in turn will not bring up the open browser dialog box. Any solutions? Thanks, DesignChambers

I just had the same problem. I cannot preview in Mozilla (or IE). The program becomes unresponsive and I have to close it. Is there any chance that Adobe will update Dreamweaver CS3 so that we can preview in modern browsers?

Where to create a Web Service in CE 7.1 SR 5

I have a book from SAP where the path to create a web service is (from NWA):
Configuration Management --> Infrastructure --> Web Services Configuration and choose to create a destination. However, this book was written for SR1 and I am not able to find the Web Services Configuration in SR 5.
Where to find it then ?

to create a destinations for ur web servivce , then login to NWA --> SOA Management --> Destination Template --> Create a new Destination for ur web services.
to create a web service , then in the composite Application perspective, create the business object and application services and finally expose the Application servivce as web service.

How to begin a CAF/CAS development.

I am new to CAF.
For what kind of business senearios CAF is suitable..?
We have developed a Webdynpro application for a scenario which is like:
Through Webdynpro frontend, the data in R/3 system is modified. New data can also be uploaded through mass upload(excel).
Right now we dont have any workflow.The data can be directly uploaded and modified in the backend(R/3).
Help me on the below queries:
1) If I need to develop the same scenario in CAF using CAS(Composite application Service) What are the initial steps for the development, what are the things to be considered, where to start with..
2) I Request for inputs on how to proceed with the development for our scenario using CAS.
3) How does it differ from normal Webdynpro development which we presently have?
4)When the present Webdynpro development is solving our purpose, what advantage do we have if we implement the same in CAS?
