Thank you, I see that new version is already there (wow nice reaction speed) but it's not compile. Anyway I have my own account now on aur and report this in comment of tpm_emulator package I hope this is the right way to inform.

It won't give me the option to sign out of the old account, it's that light grey color that you can't click on. And since it has the old email address that it's telling me to go into to verify the account, I can't actually change it... I'm stuck

How do I uninstall Firefox update and make my Norton toolbar work again?

Norton has all of my passwords saved in the toolbar, and now I can access any of them! How do I uninstall Firefox 17 and get back to 16 so that my toolbar works again? (I already ran the Norton Live Update and it did not fix the problem.)

I already ran the Norton Live update and restarted with no success. I have Norton Security Suite, not Norton 360. The only way I have been able to make this work in the past is to stay 2 or 3 versions behind on Firefox.

Connected Apple TV Box tonight and it said it needed an update. I ran the update, and it worked for a few minutes. Then all of a sudden, a screen popped up showing that I needed to connect via USB plug to my MacBook Air to connect to iTunes. Why??

I conneced the Apple TV and it worked fine at first. It has worked well for some time. We are using them in our school this year, as well as converting to all apple products. I have been able to pull up my computer screen through Apple TV onto our projectors. However, tonight when I started apple TV, the mirroring icon came up, and everything seemed fine. Then a message came up that the Apple TV Box needed an update. I clicked on the button to run it now, and it seemed fine. The mirroring worked for about 5 minutes after the update, then I got a screen that had a picture of the Apple TV Box and a USB cord directed toward a picture of the iTunes icon. The light on the frontof the component flashed, and I couldn't go to the menu at all. I wouldn't do anything. I no longer cold see the Airplay/mirroring icon on my computer either. I tried to shut everything off and reboot the computer and the Apple TV box. However, none of this worked.
Any suggestions??? I'm a high school football coach, and this is how our team will watch film this year. I really need to get this rectified by the end of the week, as our team will go into camp for the next two weeks.

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

The only i did and was unsuccesfuly is to download unzip and put the folder in the libraries-webserver-documents and try from the browser putting the address http://mydomain.com/efront/www/install/install.php
Brings me to the installation page press continue and then says to me to fix some php settings. After that i do not know what to do. If any knows please help..

If it has more than one OS installed you use either System Preferences>Startup Disk, or hold the Option/alt key at bootup to select which one.

Does the 2.01 Update and Apps work for anyone?

As you can see by the title of my post, I am just wondering if anyone out there took the 2.01 update and are still able to use the Apps from the app store?
I am seeing many posts of people complaining that after the 2.01 update, that they can no longer use any apps. They are saying it is crashing and returning to the home screen.
I am holding off on updating until i receive further word.

Here's my 2 cents.
I did the original 7.7-2.0 update 3 weeks ago w/o problem but i lost outlook syncs like everyone else with the change.
When 2.0.1 came out I did the 7.7.1 -2.0.1 update thru the iTunes popup reminder.
During the 7.7.1 install, the system crashed...bad. I couldn't restart not even in safe mode. Had to do a system restore to an earlier point which left me with 7.6. I then did the 2.0.1 update which went fine but still left me w/o outlook sync. Rather than go thru the itunes update to 7.7.1 again, I downloaded 7.7.1 from apple and did the install.
Phew....it worked...now I'm back to NORMAL....rapid syncs, outlook calender and contacts sync normally, apps download and work.

ITunes Problem- Updated and stopped working

I just updated my iTunes although I am not sure to what version.
Anyways- since I have updated the itunes, it has not worked. The icon on the desktop is no longer the regular itunes icon(the CD with the blue music note), its an empty white square- the icon that usually means that their is nothing in the program anymore.
When I click on the itunes desktop icon it says "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed"
I have tried to "repair" the itunes in the itunes setup thing- but that didn't do anything either
some help please?

I have the exact problem you have. I tried deleting (went into program files and deleted the folders ) from my system and reinstalling it. It worked until i rebooted my system, I am still on xp. The restore doesnt help either. It cant be my ipod ( its quiet old!) as it isnt even connected to my system at start up. I think maybe a bug with the new version that will eventually have more and more users affected when they update. I f i find a solution I will post asap... good luck

IPhone got half way through ios6 update and stopped working...

I was half through updating my iPhone when it suddenly stopped and then keeps putting it itself into revovery mode, turning itself off and every so often a yellow screen appears. Help!!

I would perform a DFU Mode Restore of iPhone on computer with iTunes.
Here are the steps. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release the power button, keep holding the home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds of holding home button. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode is sometimes difficult to get. So keep trying the steps until you get it. DFU mode is iTunes saying iPhone in Recovery Mode except screen is black, blank.

Firefox will not open after i use it 3 or 4 times i have to update to make it work ?

Using XP pro after a couple years firefox quit working. will not open, went to support tried everything including a clean install. after which it worked for a short while then won't open. click on icon nothing happens. downloaded 18.0 update and installed worked a few times then quit. created new profile but when i click on firefox does not do any thing. if i run the update installer it will work for a while then quit to make it work again i have to update again ant it will work mabey for 1/2 to 1 day. after i update when firefox opens then it will give me the profile box. after it quits it will not load the profile box until i update again.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

OS X 10.4.11 Update and Javascript

I completed my software update this morning for 10.4.11 and everything is working fine except for some javascript coding that I was doing for a class. I completed the coding and checked to make sure it worked before I updated and it worked fine in Safari, Firefox, and an older version of Explorer. After I did the update to 10.4.11, I checked my page again to make sure it was still working and it wasn't and it still isn't. It is not executing the javascript coding; when the page loads it is just showing the actual coding and not executing the javascript.

If someone else is having this same problem or knows how to fix it, I would really appreciate it because it works fine on windows (my friend has a PC), just not on Mac. I thought that maybe it was just Safari because of the update, but it isn't working in my Firefox (2.0.0.8) or Explorer (5.2.3), so I would really appreciate any help!

It looks to me that the page content is corrupted. Just looking now, what is getting served up mangled somewhere inside the script block, and so the browser doesn't see a valid tag to end the script, and I guess is then ignoring the tag starting the script and just dumping the script content out as display text.
Maybe try re-loading your page content to the web server and checking it is fully and correctly uploaded.
Doesn't seem to be in any way specifically related to your Mac having 10.4.11 on it, just that the content on your web server is corrupted and maybe Safari 3.0 is displaying such corrupted content differently from your previous browser.
FWIW the page doesn't display as you intend (ie it shows some of the script source then some garbled characters) on Firefox on Windows either.

Please Help! 10.6.8 Update and subsequent problems

On Friday, 2/10/2012, the Software Update popped up and informed me that new updates were ready to be installed on my MacBook Pro.
I clicked the update button and the updater installed the following updates:
iTunes v10.5.3
Security Update 2012-001 v1.1
MacBook Pro Video Update v1.0
Remote Desktop Client Update v3.5.2
Keynote 5.1.1 v5.1.1
Safari v5.1.2
Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6 v6.0
Soon after installation Safari started crashing whenever I opened new tabs. I reset Safari and that problem went away.
I also run a Virtual Machine (Windows Vista imported from a Sony Vaio). The virtual machine has never had a problem and I used it on Thursday before the update and it worked fine. However, after the updates, I can no longer use the virtual machine. It has been corrupted. I get a message that says "Unable to Access Hard Drive 1: input/output error."
Then my whole Mac started running slow, especially Safari. In Safari, pages are slow to load and I get the spinning color wheel (or "beach ball," as I have heard it referred to) when I'm on any web page. Pages take long to load. After they load, I still get the spinning color wheel consistently.
Other programs are somewhat slower to load, as well, and when switching between open programs, there are delays and even more spinning color wheels and beach balls.
My computer has never had a problem until after I installed those updates.
I have repaired permissions and I have also re-donloaded the combo straight from the Apple website, but that did not work.
Is anyone else having this problem? Or has anyone else had this problem? What to do?

I have NOT been considering a new hard drive. My MacBook Pro is not even two years old, yet (I bought it in May 2010). So, the thought of having to replace my hard drive within 2 years has not even entered my mind and (as I stated) I only started having these problems within the past 2 weeks after having installed the latest updates via Software Update.
Really, if my Hard Drive needs to be replaced after less than 2 years of light use, then I will just chalk this up as a lesson learned and just not buy another Apple product and would probably just buy a Windows-based laptop rather than replace the HD in my MBP.
I am working on transferring my files (the ones that will still open and/or copy) to an external hard drive and doing a clean install of my OS X. I also am trying to figure out if I can somehow manage to save my pics that will not copy to the external hard drive but are saved on my iPad before I do so.
I'm not a computer or Mac genius by any stretch of the imagination, but I do appreciate your reply and advice. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what it means to re-write a "wvwey block with a known-good pattern." Is that something I have to do manually? You stated that the option is in Disk Utility. Is "write zeroes" an option that you can select or is something you have to input manually? Can you break it down in simple terms for me or give me some step-by-step instructions or a link?

Updating and editing a website. After one edit upload the system fails and I must restart my computer to access certain sites.

I am editing a new website. I edit and choose Update and everything works. I try to edit again. When I choose Update the radio button for the Update and the radio button on the tab continue to spin and I get the message "waiting for...,org website" At this point, I cannot edit or log out of the site. In addition, I can not access other website like CNN and Washington Post. I have another website that is very similar to the one with problems and it works just fine. Other people editing the site via the web are having no problem.

Some months ago someone else on here was having a problem connecting to some sites. I stumbled on this link when trying to help and somehow it solved the problem. Whether it was just luck or not, who knows. I've often seen creating a new network location suggested and it does sometimes help:

Updating Apps not working???

Just a quick question...I had a bunch of apps to update, 13+, and when I just went to update them, now it is showing that all my apps are up to date, but they are not....Is anyone else having problems with updating their apps in iTunes tonight?

After updating my iPad (4.2.1) - arrgghhh- not good - looked around for help for the lockscreen problem (problem solved!) I tried same solution for apps not updating and it worked (I hadn't bothered for a while and there were 69!). On home screen double click home button, find App Store icon on taskbar at the bottom of screen, press and you go into iTunes updates (as pre-update) where your list of available updates is contained. Tho' now it's gone glitchy on me when I pressed 'update all' (possibly 'cos my husband and I share each other's apps, and it's gone to his account). See how you go...
