Tpuchsmart 14-n004ej memory socket

Hi,
I want to upgrade my laptop memory.
Currently I have 6gb but i want to increase it
1. what is the maxmimum RAM this laptop supports?
2. what kind of  memory sockets it has?
where can i find the official datasheet for this laptop?
can't find anywhere
Thanks in advance

Hi,
The following link shows its specs (datasheets):
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03942778
It uses  DDR3L, same socket as DDR3 but L for low voltage.
Regards.

I too have the same problem. It works fine to swap the ram modules that is underneath, but not to install modules in the slots under the keyboard. My computer also have the i5 processor and 6 gb ram installed from factory.
Anyone got this to work ?
EDIT: I found this option at GenTech PC; http://www.gentechpc.com/config.asp?config_id=MSI%2D1761
If you scroll down to where it says RAM, it also says that Core i5 CPU only support up to 2 DIMM slot. This info is not what they tell us in the original user manual. I will ask the MSI if this info is correct.

  • External memory sockets

The external memory sockets (SD/MMC, Memory Stick, etc.) at the top of the front panel have never worked since I purchased the new computer.  I removed the side panel and find that the white cable, coming from the front panel external socket assembly, is not plugged into the mother board, and I can not find a matching socket on the mother board.  No wonder it doesn't work!
The mother board end of the cable has a 5-pin, single row, female plug, with pin #5 blank.  There is an unused 6-pin connector on the mother board, with pin #5 blank, labeled "P26", which is within reach of the end of the cable, but I don't think this is what I'm looking for.
What do I plug this connector into, or what do I have to do to make the front panel external memory sockets work?
    Thanks for any help!

    W3dtn, welcome to the forum.
I suggest connecting the wire to the 6-pin connector that you mentioned.  I read a post in another forum that stated the multi-card reader is connected to a 6-pin connector:
Your example is in fact how I expect things to be laid out. Though the connectors I'm asking about have 12 pins (for 2 USB2 ports) there is a single-USB connector (6 pins) that is already wired to the multi-card reader,"
I would give it a try to see what happens.

    Now to your question:
The Satellite 2450-SP295 is not known to me but I have found some info about the Satellite 2450-S203.
Both units show very similar and should have the memory slots under the keyboard.
If you want to upgrade the memory you have firstly remove the keyboard.
The keyboard is secured with 2 screws which are placed under the thin cover above the keyboard.

  • 24" iMac Intel-Memory?

I’m going to order a 24” iMac Intel
How hard is it to put in your own memory?
I will buy from non-Apple source.
Second - should I get a 1 or a 2 GB for the extra slot?
I do know I will be getting a 1GB with the iMac 24”.
    - I use iM about 4 times a year
    - I use iDVD 1 or 2x’s a month (120 min long movie)
I use PHS CS twice a month.
I am getting the Video 7600/256m module.
    thanks-

Your comments made go to the memory’s Co. web page-
    This is what I found.
NOTE: The Intel iMac is built with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and has two memory sockets which can be upgraded to a maximum of 3GBs using DDR2-667 DIMMs. If both sockets are loaded with an equal amount of RAM, you can take advantage of the dual-channel memory interface for an additional performance boost
I sounds like they are saying-put the same RAM in each slot.
I will also ask the Apple rep. if I'm going to get 2-512 or one 1-GB ram module.

  • Not enough memory for Photoshop CC anymore?

My computer had room for 6 RAM sticks. Up until Friday, I was using 5, for a total of 9GB RAM. After using a program called Speccy to determine my computer's motherboard, I found that I could upgrade to add another of the 2GB sticks that I already had in it. So I bought another one and installed it, hoping to have 11GB now. I plugged it in and it snapped into place. Turned on the computer, and still just had 9GB. There's a seperate section in Speccy that shows my physical memory, which it shows is 7GB, with available physical memory at 4GB.
All that to say, I can hardly do anything in Photoshop anymore! It used to work great. It is not even letting me save a psd document, or make any changes. Says there is not enough memory. So not only have I not increased my RAM, but it's acting worse than ever! Any ideas what may be causing this or what I could try to fix it?

If you have snapped in 11GB of ram to your mother board something is wrong.  Check you memory configuration. There are restriction as to what is supported. Memory configuration vary in what is supported, Often memory of the same type must be use in memory banks.   My machine came from Dell with 4 RAM  sticks 2GB each 1600 ECC each in the first slot next to the two processor so 8GB.  I think each is on a separate buss or channel and that first slot form memory bank 1.  I added 4 8GB stick of 1600 ECC Ram for and additional 32GB. While I have a mix of stick sizes each memory each bank is populated with identical memory sticks. The work station only has 8 memory sockets.  They can use memory sticks up the 16GB in size. So if I had the money and the desire I could install 8 16GB memory stack for a total of 128GB.  I chose cases of wine instead.
Your numbers also seem odd to me but then I'm no expert.   I always though memory was configured in banks with 6 slots I would think you have two or three banks. 2 thee channel banks or three two channel banks.   I can also believe all slots could be independant. but you stated five slots were used for 9GB so something like 4 2GB sticks and a 1 GB stick you stated you added a 2GB stick for a total of 11GB. Yet two thing show you have 7GB of ram installed. You need to take a closer look at your hardware.
What you wrote does not add up why would adding a 2GB stick into your machine cause the RAM used by the machine to drop down in size 2GB to 7GB instead of increasing 2GB in size to 11GB. Check you machine hardware manual about memory configuration supported.
"My computer had room for 6 RAM sticks. Up until Friday, I was using 5, for a total of 9GB RAM. • X58 PRO won't boot (memory or video card issue???)

    Hi all,
this is my first message here.
I have recently bought a X58 PRO motherboard to which I have connected the following devices: one HD, one DVD, the CPU (i7 950), one Video Card (GeForce 6600 pci-express) and three DDR3 modules from Corsair (named CMT6GX3M3A2000C8). According to Corsair website the modules CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 run on thie X58 PRO.
I have turned on the system, but the screen remains black and the motherboard issues an intermittent buzz sound.
    Besides:
The led close to the pci-express (where the video card is connected) is on.
The 5 CPU leds are all turned on.
The led close to the memory socket is off.
As far as I know, usually the intermittent buzz means that the motherboard doesn't recognize either the RAM or the video card, but I don't know if the buzz is different case by case (can be buzz be different according to the issue?) and in the manual I didn't find a troubleshotting chapter.
Is there a way which allow me to better identify where the issue would be (in memory or in Video Card... or something else)?
I have not tested neither the memory nor the video card on another system, thus I don't know if one of them is faulty.
    Can anyone please help me?
    many thanks in advance!
    Lorenzo

    Do a CMOS clear>>Clear CMOS Guide<<
Only insert one mem module. Check all your power connections to the board/s again that they are secure. You may want to reseat your CPU and check carefully that all the contact pads on the CPU do have imprints.
Ok, I'll try it this evening!
In the meanwhile, I thank you.

  • ASA 5510 - Memory : 1 Slot or 4 Slots?

For memory upgrade in the Cisco ASA 5510 with
four memory sockets, use slot 1 - P13 and note that only one slot must
be populated at all times. For optimum performance in the
Cisco ASA 5520 and the Cisco ASA 5540 , install the DIMMs in slots P13
and P15, if you are populating only two slots.

Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliance Hardware Installation Guide mistakenly instructs to use slots 1 and 3 or slots 2 and 4 for memory upgrades on some ASA 5510 boxes with 4 memory sockets. On the contrary, the Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) should only be inserted in slot 1 on all ASA 5510 devices; slots 2-4 should not be used. This defect is filed to correct the documentation.

  • C20 memory chiller... Part number or photo available?

There is no mention of a memory chiller for a C20 in the OCM of March 2013.  Is there a marketing partnumber for this item ?  A photo anywhere ?
Moderator comment: Post split into new thread. Subject edited to match content.

I was concerned that there was an option part, called a  memory chiller, of which I had not previously known.  I got sidetracked into heatsink options, thinking you may be using a different name, as I could not find any reference anywhere to a chiller OPTION part.  I just now tried to find the annc. letter for  0A65718, the 8GB ECC UDIMM option  for a D20 ThinkStation.  I can't find it.  I wish there were a reliable way/place to search annc. letters and actually find something.  If I do find one, and it mentions the chiller as a FRU part that comes with the 8GB marketing option, I can add a small comment to the marketing part, just as a nice-to-have.  People could then search on the word chiller, and get one or more hits.  I could even add the FRU parts (both ?), once I find the letter, to the almost ready Lenovo MultiTool database.  Since the 8GB option is roughly three times the 4GB option price, I am not surprised to hear that it may include extra parts.  Mentioning that in the extended description would help explain the price difference.
    I did find this.....
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&DocID=PD023483
which seems to say SOME models and SOME memory combinations require the chiller/cooler.  By clicking on multiple links
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-72845
it appears the chiller/cooler comes with both 4GB and 8GB options, and I guess you just discard any surplus ones, as the system will only accept two.  The PC Sales Guide/Configurator "knows" that when you try to add memory beyond the half-full point on dual processor models, you MUST install the matching second processor, if it is not already present.  It will not permit memory beyond half-full, AND it shows the correct partnumber for the matching & required second processor.  Since ThinkStation Brand has dropped those 2nd processors as options, I substituted the Intel partnumber in their place, and the prices for these are available  and displayed from the one US and one Canadian Business Partner.  Once you add the second processor, the Configurator will allow you to fill the memory sockets.  Thanks for taking the time out to help on this.

  • Computer memory upgrade confusion

I am interested in adding memory. When I read the information on the Apple support page for upgrading memory it tells me that my G5, 1.8 mhz, dual processor machine should use memory that is "333mhz, pc2700". However, when I look at information in "about this mac" I find the two 256 meg memory sticks that are installed are listed as "256 mb DDR SDRAM pc 3200u-30330". Apple info says that the pc 3200 memory is only used in machines that have eight expansion slots and can hold 8 gigabytes of memory. My machine is only upgradable to four gigabytes. I really do not know what pc 2700 or pc3200 means. The current memory was ordered as an upgrade and installed at the factory.
My plan is to add two 512 meg memory sticks in the slots currently used by the 256 meg sticks and move the current memory sticks to the open slots.
I am confused about what type of memory I need to purchase.
Any help and clarification would be greatly appreciated.
    PowerMac G5, 1.8mhz, dual processors   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   512 megs RAM

You don't need to move the existing RAM, they can stay happily where they are. Just add the two new RAM modules to the two remaining memory sockets.
As for the type of RAM, your dual 1.8 G5 needs RAM of the following type DDR SDRAM, pc2700. However the pc2700 is a reference to a speed rating of the RAM module. pc 3200 is the same type of RAM but can work with a faster memory bus. As a results, pc 3200 will work fine in your G5, though there will be no increase in performance, just because the memory can run faster, your G5 is still running at its rated bus speed.
Sometimes, it can be cheaper to put the faster rated RAM in. This is because more of the faster rated RAM is produced, driving down its cost, while less of the slower RAM is made, keeping its price steady or even goes up.
DDR SDRAM pc2700 or pc3200 should work fine.

  • X79A-GD65 (8D) memory issues.

Greetings Everyone! I've just joined this forum.
My issue is that i cant use all eight memory sockets without the board getting stuck in POST with the debug code 67.
I currently use the mainboard on this computer but with only 5 sticks in.
The memorysticks i use are two sets of "Corsair 16GB (4x4096MB) CL9 1600Mhz VENGEANCE Quad Channel" totalling 32GB.
I cannot add any of the remaining sticks in slot 4, 6 and 8. I've done it in all thinkable methods even test booting with every stick placed in every slot. took me a good two hours of testing.
I've also tried the sticks in a Gigabyte 1366 motherboard with four slots and both sets run on it.
I contacted Corsair and it looks like i have to send the memorysticks to them for a checkup but i wont know for sure until i hear from them later next week. I'll discuss the issue further with them then.
This is my current set-up (i point out that the parts i've changed are the Mainboard, CPU and memory from the 1366 computer)
    Mainboard: MSI X79A-GD65(8D).
    CPU: Intel Core i7-3820.
Memory: Two sets of Corsair Vengeance Quad channel 4x4Gb 1600MHz.
Graphics card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 OC.
    Main boot device: WD 500Gb.
    PSU: Corsair HX-650

Hi everyone and i must thank you for such speedy answers and support.
On the server issue. I do use alot of servers, not normal servers as you would think but gameservers. I like to run dedicated servers for like CS:S, Minecraft and such and i have startded playing ARMA:2 alot lately and i want to run them simultaneously for extended periods.
I was planning to install ARMA:2 in the RAM because of its extreme loading times when editing maps and missions. And also i like to run Firefox, Java, WinRAR and other background programs from the RAM.
I also want the amount of RAM for the pleasure of just having it. I understand how a primitive feeling that is but it feels good.
I understand now that i will never get all sticks to work but i do run 5 of them at this moment so i got 20GB of memory and already have set up a 12GB ramdisk.
I will discuss the issue with Corsair when we get in touch on the Support thread i've created hoping to send my modules to them and change them to a 8 stick kit and me paying the shipment and differance in price.
EDIT: Should i flash the BIOS anyway according to xmad's statement? Should i in that case default the BIOS and run only 2 sticks?
p.s. I have got to stop editing these posts....

  • MacBook Pro - 3 beeps at startup - memory issue

I've searched the forum and learned that the 3 beeps at start up indicate no good memory banks found.
Trying to understand what happened in my situation. Got my wife a Macbook Pro last year. It had two 1GB Samsung memory sticks in it. I replaced them with two 2GB Crucial memory sticks (model limited to 4 GB memory). It's worked for about a year. Suddenly, the beeping and fails to start.
Tried reinstalling the Crucial memory. No better.
Tried replacing the memory with two new 2GB PNY memory sticks. No better.
Go back to the original two 1GB sticks. Now boots and working.
Question: what am I missing? I could believe the memory came loose or the Crucial memory went bad. Having trouble believing that the Crucial memory went bad and the new PNY memory is also bad and only the original memory is good, or that I failed to properly seat either set of the 2GB sticks but properly installed the 1 GB sticks.
Did something change recently (say, within the past month) that could cause 2 GB sticks to be an issue?
Is it possible something happened to the slots when I tried to reseat the memory that would cause 2GB to fail but 1 GB to work?
Have not yet tried mixing and matching to see if I can get 3 GB total memory to work, etc.
Thanks for any ideas as to what would cause this combination of events.

I believe it may be a bad/incompatible memory and/or bad seating or memory socket issue.

  • Memory Cap

Okay, I'm confused. According to MacUpgrades
    http://www.macupgrades.co.uk/store/machine.php?name=powerbook-g3-wallstreet#ram
"The PowerBook G3 has two memory sockets, and can accept up to 192MB in RAM. A 128MB module can be fitted in either slot, once a 128MB stick is fitted, the second slot can only take up to 64MB."
Others on this site have suggested that the Wallstreet can handle 512MB, two sticks of 256MB. What is the official word from Apple?
Secondly, money is tight. Do I really need 512MB of RAM? I'm not doing any heavy computing. I would like to edit and browse family photos, listen to music, surf the web, edit websites, email and process office work (word and excel). If I put a 128MB stick in the top, won't that be enough?
MacUpgrade suggests replacing the lower stick be done by a Pro. They will not even give instructions. Is it that hard? I'm placing my order beginning of next week. I appreciate any and all help in the decision process.

    Kirk,
Many of the Apple and third-party docs state what you have posted. At the time those specs were released, nobody made a low-profile module for the lower slot larger than 64MB, and a 128MB standard-height module was the largest available for the Wallstreet. An early iMac-, Wallstreet-, and Lombard-specific 256MB was also not available. Since then, both low-profile and standard-height 256 modules became readily available. From what I have read and experienced, Apple seldomly updates original specs.
The Wallstreet's Grackle memory controller can actually address up to a 1MB of RAM, but nobody makes the special 512MB modules required.
I would think 512MB is not required for your needs, but why don't you do this: Buy the low-profile 128MB and just pop it in the upper slot, run your 'book, occasionally check the RAM being used, and if you need more, you can buy another 128 or even a 256. The low-profile modules will work in either slot.

It really is quite easy to replace memory, top or bottom. Here's the way Apple does it:

    Here is iFixIt's guide:

Regarding memory usage: Once you get the 128 or 256 installed, go to your Memory control panel and set Virtual Memory to 1MB above installed RAM. For example, if you have 128+32=160MB, set VM to 161MB. This will offer the lower memory usage of open applications, yet not slow you down too much. If still running low on memory, up the VM to 100% of installed RAM and test. I would not go above 100% since you will have better performance with more installed RAM.
Edit: Apple's RAM installation guide shows only the top module being replaced; iFixIt will show you how to lift out the microprocessor card.
Edit #2: The Wallstreet can address up to 1GB, not 1MB.
