Track Doesn't Open in AA

Question

I have a song that simply doesn't open up in AA.
I've converted it in different formats in an attempt to see if it would accept one
of the formats, including wav, mp3, aif and au.  But in all cases the song
just doesn't open. I also tried making a copy of these formats but the copies
don't open up either. Audition doesn't even try to open it and it offers no error
message about what's wrong.
Outside of AA, the song plays fine and seems fine otherwise.
I have AA configured to accept all file types that it offers, including the ones
noted above.
Also, other songs in these formats open up just fine within AA.
If this particular song is corrupt, can it be fixed?
The problem is I bought this song from iTunes, and sound wise, it's fine, but
I'm unable to get another copy of it (without buying the whole album, which I'm
not interested in doing).

iTunes songs are recorded in AAC - basically an M4P format, and you will need either a flt file that opens these in Audition (if there is one...) or an external converter to convert these files to a more acceptable, less protected format.
