Trackin as intruder

Hi All
I have a problem in my home connetion as i have WRT160Nv3 wirless broad band router..the problem is linksys advisor showing my home connection offline and there is a red lines b/w router and server on lela map. and there is no option as "track as intruder" on server side tab. and second router not getting power on even power cable switched on. router power and ethernet lights not completely getting bright and local area connection also dissconected...how can i fix it....can any body help me?
Thanks

If you are getting that error message on your computer.... if yes, have you checked if you are able to go online on that specific computer or not? If you are able to go online, and still you are getting that error message then its better you can uninstall the LELA software from your computer.
About your 2nd Router, if you have plugged the power cable to the Router and still there is not lights on your router, one thing which you can try, Press and hold the reset button on your router for 1min, then release the reset button then unplug the power from the router wait for 1min and then plug the power to the router. now check the light status on your Router.

  • Anchored graphics in margin intruding into text column

I am creating what is basically a textbook chapter, two columns of text and a wide margin away from the spine. I am positioning some notes in the margin, but also some graphics. Some of the graphics need to be big enough that they intrude into the text column and the text needs to wrap around them. Have done this manually and happy with the results, but would like to have at least some of these graphics anchored to the text. Learning to do this was a long and painful process, and I thought I should document my findings, and ask for any suggestions for improvement.
I found the two following posts of particular use:
    http://indesignsecrets.com/wrapping-text-around-an-anchored-object.php
    http://blogs.adobe.com/indesignchannel/2007/11/anchored_frames_productivity_s.html
However, the free tool mentioned in the last post is no longer available.
    Here is what I did.
First, I set up a couple of keyboard shortcuts.
Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Text and Tables > Insert Anchored Object/Go to Anchor Marker > Alt+Shift+I
Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Object Menu > Fitting: Fit Frame to Content > Alt+Shift+F
Next, I set up defaults for inserting anchored objects. Note that these preferences are saved in the file, and not in the Preferences.
(make sure nothing is selected) Object > Anchored Object > Insert (Defaults) > Leave defaults except:
    - Object Style: SAR Topics Anchored Graphic (or whatever Object Style you wish; mine includes a word-wrap)
    - Position: Custom
       - Relative to Spine
       - Anchored Object  Reference point: top-left and top-right
       - Anchored Position  Reference Point: mid-left and mid-right
       - X Relative To: Page Edge X Offset -3p0
       - Y Relative to: Line (baseline) Offset 2p0 (needed as anchored position ignores the wordwrap when you enlarge the frame to fit objects that intrude into the text frame)
       - Check “Keep Within Top/Bottom Column Boundaries”
I suggest as you are trying this, doing the following until at least you're sure that things are working correctly:
    - To view the anchor markers in the text, choose Type > Show Hidden Characters.
    - To view a dashed line from an anchor marker to its associated custom-positioned object, select the object and choose View > Extras > Show Text Threads. The thread extends from the anchor marker to the current proxy point for the anchored object.
Place your text cursor where you want your anchored graphic to anchor.
    Press Alt+Shift+I.
A default 6p0 x 6p0 frame should appear in the margin.
Click on the graphic you wish to put into the anchored frame. Right-click and copy.
Select the frame in the margin.  Right-click and "paste into."
Press Alt-Shift-F and this will fit the frame to the graphic.
This seems to be a reasonably fast and effective workflow.
If anyone has any suggestions for improvement, please let me know.
I do have one problem: when I was playing around with this, InDesign crashed, and the file I was trying to do this on is now corrupted and my Alt+Shift+F won't work; the frame won't resize to fit the graphic. I tried trashing my preferences, but then found out the Insert Anchored Object defaults are stored in the file on which I was working, not the actual two InDesign preferences files.

Luckily I had a recent backup of my file so restored it and got rid of the corruption I mentioned above.
Ran into another apparently unsurmountable problem, as described below, and have abandoned anchored graphics for this project.
If you have two columns on a left page, where the margin is on the far left, anchored objects with wordrap don't work if your anchor is in the second column. That's because ALL of the text in the left column is "before" the anchor, and ignores the anchored object's wordwrap.
Until this is fixed, I'm abandoning anchored graphics and will place them all manually.

  • HELP Why do I have the option to mark someone as an intruder but I can't delete them

I have Intruder's in red but it tells me there online how do I get the inteuder's off  my network

  • Undo track as intruder in Network Magic

    Hi,
I accidentaly created a problem. This is what happened: my router is not password protected (long story), therefor I regularly check Network Magic (for which I never registered so I guess I have limited options) and when I see something I don't recognise I click on 'track as intruder' and then remove it from the network. Now it seems I accidentaly branded a cell phone we use in the house as an intruder and removed it from the network and now it won't connect to Wifi anymore. I can't find an option to undo the tracking as intruder because the divice won't show up in Network Magic anymore.
Can someone tell my how I unblock the phone? You might suggest removing Network Magic from my PC and reinstalling it, but I have no install cd or anything.

A device tracked as intruder would still be able to connect to the wireless network. The said feature would just notify you each time a device tracked as intruder tries to connect to your network. What you can do is to forget the wireless network profile on your phone and try to reconnect. Also try to reboot your phone and your wireless router. Once the phone is already connected to the network, you should see it on the network map, so you can undo track as intruder.

  • Track as intruder ??

What does this function actually do ???

Click on the intruder's icon and go over the details of the device listed on the right part of the map. The details list on the window will contain the intruder's MAC (media access control) Address. This is a unique identifier that is assigned to a computer's hardware number. To keep the intruder off, you can use the MAC address filtering feature on the router. Go over your wireless router settings to enable MAC filtering and simply enter the MAC address so the system permanently keeps it off your network.
    Hope this help.

  • BT Infinity, Micro Filters and Intruder Alarms

I've had BT Infinity for a while now and I realise that you no longer need micro filters on slave sockets as it is all filtered in the new Master Socket but I have a BT line terminal block installed by BT for my intruder alarm that bypasses the Master Socket altogether and subsequently isn't filtered by it.
When I had normal broadband there was a filter in the Alarm Control box (there still is) and had no problems with the alarm communicating with the central station but since I have had BT Infinity installed the alarm is struggling to communicate.
My question is: Is the filter in the BT Infinity master socket any different to a standard broadband filter? I spent an hour on the phone to BT Infinity support in presumably India and they couldn't answer the question and said they would get someone higher up to give me a call the next day. That was 3 days ago so I am not holding my breath on that one.

that sounds like BT Redcare you have on your alarm. You probably need to speak with your alarm company as they should  be up to date with using Infinity & Redcare. It is often put on a separate line so voice fax doesnt intefere with it. I used to work in the alarm business.
Do you have a maintenance contract on the alarm, if so they should sort it out.

    Hi timh86,
You can't unless it is your own computers. Turn on all your computers and printers. Turn off the Network Lock. Once all are reconnected to the Router, reenable the Network Lock.

  • I found an intruder in my WRT54G

I didn't secure my router fast enough. When I went to do my first log in I found an unknown username and two intruder computers where accessing my network. I've put my username and password in. Then I set up WEP encryption. I didn't  use stronger encryption because I don't want to reduce the signal strength. But, the alien username can still be found on the drop down username login line. I'm guessing the intruder can still access my network. I can only find one place to change the password. I've done this. So, how can the intruder still be logging in? I've looked everywhere I can think of on the Linksys website for help. Plus, I Googled searched this issue. Then I tried to get a living person at Linksys to advise me on this. So, here I am. I sure would appreciate it if a knowledgeable person would have mercy on me and help me figure out what to do. Thanks in advance.

There is no username drop down in the WRT. There is no place to set a username. You have to describe exactly where you find this information. So far it sounds as if those usernames are stored on your computer and not on the WRT.

  • Intruder Log?

Looking for the best method for identifying failed login attempts that produce Intruder Lockout status. ConsoleOne? iManager? Log that can be viewed? Looking for historical accumulation of dates/times/IP addresses.

Console log is the only one, unless you have implemented auditing.

Why is Firefox intruding and sending updates when auto updates are turned off? This constant updating wreaks havoc with add-ons
Why is Firefox violating my computer?

I left "automatic updates" for Firefox UNCHECKED and left download when updates are found UNCHECKED. " Ask me wha I want to do" is CHECKED.
In English, that means don't automatically update and if updates are found ASK.
It does NOT mean ignore all the instructions and download!

  • Intruder Tracking

I have AOL Network Magic as a  key tool in following who logs onto my WiFi Network. One thing I've been wondering though, when I find an intruder, how can I find out even more information about them, and possibly send them a message? I know I can easily stop these intrusions by setting up a Network Password, but since its my neighbors, I kind of wanna mess around with them for a little while, just spook em or something.
Also, early this morning I saw an "Unknown" intruder for the first time. The Program says it could be labeled "Unknown" for any number of reasons. I have a MAC Address of the nameless intruder, and possibly an IP. How can I use either one of these to find out more information about them? Thanks.

You can only track the MAC Address and the IP Address of the Intruder...It does not disconnect them from the Internet...You have to have a Secure Connection so that nobody else uses your Wireless Network...

  • How do I "untrack as intruder"?

I got a new xbox 360 and I put the password in and I could connect with no problem. Then my dad thought the Xbox was someone else and hit "track as intruder" and blocked me (I assume). Because the password and everything is correct, and I was on before and now i can't connect to the router.
    What do I do?

Welcome to the Cisco Home Community.
Are you pertaining to Network Magic or LELAs functionality "Track as Intruder"? If so, you can simply stop tracking the Xbox from the Application as well.

  • Intruder connected but not seen

I set up Network Magic last night.  There was an intruder and I ignored him.  Can find him anywhere, except when I click on status and look at  Network activity it says "3 devices connected, no intruder".  I do know all 3 devices.  I click on   view network history and that says  in blue the 2 and myself connected and shows the stats....but in red it says "intruder  connected no data"  is someone still on my network?
