Tracking Contact Person Changes in CDHDR

We have 2 SAP Systems - one for development and one for production. When changes are made to customers (debitors) using transaction VD02, these changes are logged in the table CDHDR (objecttype='ADRESSE' or 'DEBI'). In both systems this works fine.
However, when changes are made to contact persons (same transaction) the changes are only logged in the development system (objecttype='ADRESSE3').
We would like our production system to log these changes too. Where can one configure which types of changes are logged?

Could you please provide a few more details. By 'incorrectly' what exactly do you mean - showing a totally different BP name as opposed to the one assigned OR showing the new BP more as a number rather than the full name ?
A small example would help; of course, you can change the names for privacy !

Error While Changing Contact Person in MSA

Hi,
When the users are trying to change the data of the already saved BP or CP it is giving out error "Value of Attribute Tile is Not Valid" This is happening only for some of the BP and CP not to all.
We are not maintaing any entries in the "Title" Drop down box and all the cp,bp are saved without the Title.
Does anyone has clue to the problem

How to change validity for relationship contact person - BUR001

Hi group,
I need to be able to change the from and to date from the relationship category BUR001 (Contact Person). The system automatically sets the FROM as 01.01.0001 and the TO as 31.12.9999.
I assumed the customizing for this is done in the relationship category settings in transaction BUBA. Setting its value to 2 or 4 should do the trick and does the trick for any other relationship category, but NOT for the contact person category. Of course I need to be able to change this one and not other types
I am sure this problem has been encountered before. Please provide me with suggestions. Again: BUBA settings do not solve my problem for specifically this relationship category.

We can creat a relationship category of contact person with validity period.then use this relationship category while you assign the contact person to the main Business partner.

How to change Number range to Contact Person in Customer Master Record

Dear all,
We are maintaining contact person details under contact person tab in customer master record.
Currently contact person is being created using VAP1 transaction.
Can we automate this contact person creation by entering the data in contact person itself?
and where can we change the number range of contact person.
I have searched a lot to find the solution for this. Please help me to resolve this issue. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

To your first question: "Can we automate this contact person creation by entering the data in contact person itself?"
Yes, you can enter the contact person directly in the customer master in the contact person tab. A number is generated automatically.
To your second question, go to transaction SNUM, and there use object "PARTNER". Here you can configure number range for contact persons.

Pl. follow the following steps :-
1. Create smartforms containing your own content to be sent to contact persons.
2. Implement the BADI : BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF.
3. There is one interface(method) in the above BADI e.g. :change_forms. You have to call smart forms in this interface.
I hope you may achieve your task by following the above steps.

Contact Person column in CRM_DNO_MONITOR changing value incorrectly

We have realised that each time we change/add Business Partners in the Transaction Data -> Partner tab, the value of the Contact Person column in the CRM_DNO_MONITOR changes.
Anybody has an idea of why this may be happening?

How to modify the contact persons company address changes

Hi Friends,
My requirement is i want to update the address of the contact person in relationships. Actually when we are maintaining the relationships it is automatically taking the Accounts address in company address field but i wants to maintain the different address for each contact person related to the particular account for that i used Bapi_bupa_contp_addr_change functions module as well as Bapi Transaction Commit also but it is not helpful.
       I want to change the contact persons address as per flat file, so please let me is there any fuction module for changing the address of a contactt person in relationships.

Bapi or FM to create,change and delete Contact persons for vendors

Dear Experts,
We are replicating the Contact persons details from SUS(SRM) to ECC, When a Contact person is create,changed or deleted the data should be replicated in ECC. We are doing custom development to do this, I need to know is there any function module or Bapi which I can use to create , change or delete the contacts persons for a vendor.
I tried using BAPI_ADDRESSCONTPART_CHANGE, BAPI_ADDRESSORG_SAVEREPLICA for changing but its doesn't covers few fields like time zone etc. For deletion I tried WY_KNVK_SINGLE_DEL_FROM_BUFFER its too not helping me .
Please let me know is there any bapi or fm to do these process or we can go for BDC.

Can you please tell me what Business Scenario is asking you to consider the Time Zones .
If you know the Customer Number you can very well get the country and there are various FM's to get the time zone based on a country .
Now Call the FM (as wrote by you ) based on the TIme Zone condition,
Please enlighten me if i am incorrect.

I Have found the BAPI's : BAPI_FUNCLOC_CHANGE
BAPI_FUNCLOC_CREATE
but thier is no option to handle with "contact person" .
(SAP Table "IHPA").

Hello,
Instead of searching for any FM or anything. Go and create a flow thorugh LSMW and change the desired contact person through it..
I assure you this is the best and most efficient way.
first run LSMW and create a flow by changing the contact person of any one functional location and then assign the flow of that lSWM through external notepad file.
Get in the notepad all the desired FL you want to change run that within minutes your job will be done.

okay, this screen is not active in my system. (are you doing retail?)
if it is address data, then it is usually transmitted with the ADR3MAS idocs
this is at least the case for customer contacts.

Error in person responsible when contact person is changed

Hello PCUI fellows,
we are using the PC-UI Opportunity and Activity Application in CRM 5.0 SP 8. We have set the option "roundtrip cs search" for the Fields Prospect(Opportunity)/Contact Partner (Activity), Contact Person and Person Responsible. This are the steps to reproduce the Problem:
1. Create a new Activity
2. Enter a customer name into Contact Partner and press enter
3. get a list of companies matching
4. choose one which also has contact persons.
5. The field "Contact Partner is now filled.
6. click on the F4 Help for the Field "Contact Person".
7. The search is opened and "Search by relationship" is prefilled with the companies Account ID.
8. Search and choose one of the contact persons
9. The field "Contact person" is filled with the contact persons account id
10. Press enter
11. Now the Field "Person responsible" which was filled with the Users Name contains only "No address data".
Does someone had a simmilar problem?

Are you using the standard views or customized views?
If you had maintained the customized Z views then try to maintain the F4 Help field assignment at fieldgroup level under CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C->Input Help -> Field Assignment for transferring values. Enter the field group name here.
For ex : I have mainted the given entries for Leads Partner F4 Help.
View Field Name                            Result List Field                   Field in Hitlist
ZWA CONTACT_PERSON_LIST      CONTACT_PERSON_LIST        PARTNER1

Changing Contact Person for Sold-to-party

i am having requirement like i have a order number and for that order number i have to add contact person for sold-to-party please can anybody help me..?

You could do the following
a) Extract the partner from CRM_ORDER_READ through the exporting parameter et_partner.(Check the exporting parameter)
b) Manipulate the partner data you had extracted in step a)
c) Pass the data to the importing parameter IT_PARTNER in the CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.
I think this should work.
