Tracking my phone after software reset?
My iPhone was stolen.
The person with it must have switched it off before I could track it, as its last known location was my car.
If my phone was then restored to factory settings will I still be able to track its location when they switch it on again i.e. when it connects to the internet or uses cellular data?
I have a strong pass code & Find My Phone installed (but I was unable to set it to Lost mode and set it to track mode), so I assume the person that has my phone can't access the phone or do anything with it other than factory reset the software because of Activation Lock.
But can I still track the phone?

Are your apps in itunes on your computer?
If not, then they cannot be restored as you do not have them on your computer.
Apps/music are not part of the backup that itunes performs when syncing. -
Can't activate prepaid phone after factory reset
My prepaid galaxy legend was recently acting really weird, being super slow, and freezing. So I decided to do a factory reset, well after I selected to do the factory reset and it reset and everything it froze when it got to the Verizon logo screen when turning on so I took the battery out and attempted to turn it on, well it actually worked. Anyways I went threw the whole language selection thing and then finally got to the screen to activate it again. It didn't even say anything, or give any options then said that it wasn't able to activate. Well I have reattempted to activate it doing *228 multiple of times and finally gave up and decided to call customer service, now have been on hold for 1 1/2 hours I'm really starting to get frustrated. Can anyone please help me or give me any advice on what to do?

Will I still be able to track the phone if it resets?
If the person who stole my resets it back to its factory settings will I still be able to track it using Find my Iphone?

I had Sprint unlock my phone for international use. I backed up my phone to Gail-PC on Itunes and then reset the iphone 4S. When i went to resync the phone after the reset my computer now says the last time it was backed up was March 2013. I backed it up prior to and had no computer error. Now it shows the divice Gail-PC no longer exists in Itunes and only Gail's Iphone shows up. I upgraded to IOS 7 recently, I don't know if this could be an issue. Help what do I do know? I have lost all my messages and data from the last year. This computer does not have a backup. I only have 5 Gb space on Icloud so the Imessages did not get saved there. Is there any help for me now?
Thanks for the reply! Yeah that's pretty much what I figured.... I just find it upsetting that it didn't tell me the reset had anything to do with backing up data and made it sound like it would save everything on my phone regardless. Thanks again for your response

Lost my phone it had ios 7.2.0 with pass code and I cloud I'm aware it can be restore on DFU mode but can't use it if they don't have the iCloud user if and password the phones linked with. Question is in this process if the person connects it to his or her wifi to setup up the phone will I be able to track the phone after the restore ? Even though he can't use it because he has no Id no password
You can do nothing if it's not online. With a passcode and iOS 7.1 (there is no 7.2) the device is uselss because it cannot be erased except by you.

What happens to my phone after I wipe it?
Hi, I am in desperate need of help.
I've been trying to download ios7 onto my phone, and to do so I had to delete all the apps, music, photos, etc., from my phone.
Halfway through downloading ios7, it failed and I went from having 3.9GB of available space, to 3.2GB.
I need ATLEAST 3.7GB of available space, so the update says. Although, I can not get space back because their is nothing left to delete.
I'm thinking my last option now might be to do a full wipe on my phone, but I don't know what that will affect if I do that.
If I wipe my phone and set it back to factory settings, what happens to my sim card? I want to be able to use my phone after I reset it, but I don't know if I'll be able to.
How should I go about in doing this? And can I even use my phone (with service) after a full wipe?

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues updating to iOS 7 due to storage limitations. To address your question, see this excerpt from the iPhone User Guide:
Erase All Content and Settings: Your information, and settings are removed. iPhone cannot be used until it’s set up again.

If you did decide to do an Erase All Content and Settings, this should not have any affect on your Sim card, or ability to use the iPhone. It will delete all of your content, including contacts and photos, etc. However, if you have backed up via iCloud or iTunes, you can restore the backup.
I also want to mention that you can complete the iOS 7 update via iTunes on a computer. Doing so, you will not be required to free up the space on your iPhone for the download. So that is definitely an option:

1. Ensure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
2. Connect your device to your computer using the included USB cable.
3. After iTunes opens, select your device when it appears in iTunes under Devices.

5. If an update is available, iTunes prompts you to download and install the update. Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.

Can anyone advise me if it is possible to retrieve my messages from my phone after software update?
I have tried 'some' recovery software but they do not recognise the 'phone' as a part of my pc.
Has anyone had similar issues?If you didn't make a backup before updating, all data is lost.

since updating my iphone 3gs software it has developed the so called "white screen of death" this happened immediately after software install. It has never been dropped or damaged. I have tried the solution which seems to pop up most of holding down the power button and the home button for 10 seconds but this hasnt helped at all. Tried ringing apple, who were less than helpful and disinterested as the phone is out of warranty. I am hoping there is a solution which doesnt mean shelling out for a new phone! any ideas?

After having upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2, I can not turn on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. After trying various tricks I found via online forums such as software reset, enable Airplane mode, and resetting the network settings, I have now also completed reset of the phone WITHOUT success. Is there something more to it? If not learn hardly be any more iPhone for me. Really disappointed. Grateful for help!
If you have tried all of the steps in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 and have completed all of the user troubleshooting, restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new, then make an appointment with the Apple store to have the hardware checked.

The following happens.
1. Speaker light lit (Green)
2. Phone displays a firmware upgrade page (see attachment) for a few minutes. (Doesn't seems to be upgrading, but it "saids" upgrading)
3. Saw Cisco logo with a Java Powered page.
4. The whole thing loops again and again...
I think the reason why the phone isn't booting up is because the phone needs to know where to find the configuration/firmware files from a tftp server. I do have a TFTP server, but normally I need to go in settings to change the alternative tftp server, but the thing is that now I can't even press the settings button...
Please help.How many phones were reset and upgrading at one time? What is the setting of the TFTP Maximum Serving Count (Advanced TFTP Service Parm) on each of the TFTP servers?
