  • Fedex unresponsive with no tracking updates

I ordered my iPad on May 10, it shipped on May 17 and from then on it disappeared in the maze of the Fedex shipment process: no tracking updates since May 18, customer representatives each providing a different version for the delay, with the latest claiming the package has been somewhere in Taiwan for the past four days, while just one hour before it was described as "en route to destination"! While the credit card has already been charged and the ultimate "outside" date for delivery provided by Apple is May 24, it is appalling that Fedex is unable to provide any updated information on the status of the shipment. I was wondering if any of you was experiencing the same delays and issues of incompetence with their iPad order.

I must have confused the Apple discussion forum with the FedEx one.

  • How to track updates in Master Table?

    hi all
I have few Master tables like MRP Controllers , Asset Classes, reason for Investment etc.I have got the master tables that store these information. but standard IDocs are not present for those Master data.
My requirement is , whenever new Master data is added / or existing master data is updated in these tables , i immediatly want to send that changed/newly added data to legacy system.
what are the different ways to track these changes and send it to legacy system ?
    Regards
    Sheetal

    Hi Sheetal,
You can also check the user exits for the same.
Most of the master data creation program has the user exits associated with them at the new data creation.
So you can explore that option also.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Seeburger Message Tracking Update

    Hi All,
I m working on one IDOC to Bank (820 document ) scenario. I am using the File adapter at receiver side and dumping a XML file.
I am trying to Update the message tracking in the seeburger using a function in message mapping which basically uses a UDF which includes use of MTMasterXI.
Any pointers on how to update the message trace in Seeburger Workbench will be appreciated.
    Regards..
    Sachin Dhingra

What do you mean by "update the message trace"?
You can see the message in Message Tracking tab of Workbench. But before that a bit more settings are required.
    - Mapping in IR like you did it by creating UDF. It should refer to the standard Seeburger function jar files.
    - Module configuration in the channel with FileStore module.
    - Configuration in Message Tracking.
I hope the Message Tracking is already working for you when you click on Message Tracking tab.

  • Doubt in Date tracking update of person records

    Dear all,
I have a doubt on the approach to be followed for a particular scenario. The following is the explanation:
Let us say we have a person record as follows:
Employee_No      Effective start Date         Marital status
    100                    01-Jan-2000                  Single
Let us say HR user date tracked to  01-Jan-2010 and  updated to Married
So we have the following :
Employee_No      Effective start Date    Effective end date      Marital status
    100                    01-Jan-2000                31-Dec-2009            Single
    100                    01-Jan-2010                31-Dec-4712            Married
Later HR found that the date of updation was not correct it should be 01-Jan-2011, which was wrongly entered as 01-Jan-2010.
    Now should the HR
    1) Go to the earliest record and delete the next change and then re enter with correct date? or
    2)  Go to 01-Jan-2010 , Correct the record to Single, go to 01-Jan-2011 update to Married.
Because Oracle allows both. In the second case, per_all_people_f  will have 2 records with the same set of data but with different start and end dates.
Can any body say which is correct approach and why?
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
In terms of business both the actions will fine as in reports it will show the same result.
From technical (data level) It is your decision on the way you want to go ahead.
In case of a error it is better practice to purge the next changes and update the record with correct details.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

  • Bug Tracker Updates?

    Hi,
I know this is a shot in the dark, but has anyone updated the example Bug Tracker application? We've used it for some individual projects in the past and noticed that there were several bugs in the application. If not, then it's not a big issue.
    Thanks,
    Martin
    [http://apex-smb.blogspot.com/]

Imagine that, bugs in the BUG TRACKER..... (Sorry, couldn't resist...) :) But seriously, I have started making some modifications to this product to support bug tracking for an application I am helping with. First off, I am moving the authentication from being APEX Users to table based (seems there was some work started on this before it was released...) Also looking at adding some more reports and such in the future, and also looking at it being a bug tracker and enhancements request collection tool...
Just need some time to do all this ..
    Thank you,

  • Sharepoint 2007 - Creating a form to capture timesheets data, but need to track updates to previously submitted data

    Hi,
We are using a basic version of Sharepoint 2007 and do not have access to InfoPath. I have created a list to allow team members to submit their weekly time on specific activities.  How do I go about tracking any changes to previously submitted data?
For instance, a team member enters 5 hours for Activity 1 and submits on April 1.  on April 10 they realize they submitted too few hours and want to go in to edit the 5 hours to 12 hours.
From a reporting perspective we already pulled a report (export to excel) and have the 5 hours listed for April 1. If the user goes in to edit their time sheet from April 1, we don't want the data to just override the 5 hours, we want some sort of flag to
show the hours went from 5 to 12 hours.  How do we do this?
As a work around, I added a question at the beginning of the survey/list asking is this a new submission or an edit. I thought if they select edit and were taken to a screen that allowed them to select the date (April 1), the activity and the new hours that
I would have all of the previous data plus these 3 columns with the additional data: "Edit", "Activity 1", "12".  Instead the original data was over written and all I show are blanks for the previous questions and the edited
    info ("Edit", "Activity 1", "12").
What suggestions do you have so that I can maintain the integrity of the original data and flag for my Project Manager which data needs to be changed in previous reports.
    Thanks in advance!
    AA

I think the best way to answer your question would be to create a simple form and try various submissions. Be aware that unless the e-mail system is controlled, e-mail submission is not recommended due to client configuration issues of e-mail. Your question sounds like online submission would already be something you are comfortable with. In that case you can submit form data in 3 different ways: HTML, FDF, or XML. It can also be submitted as a PDF by saving the form, but that does not sound like what you need and also gets into issues of whether folks are using Reader or Acrobat.
Also be careful (or try both) about using forms from within Acrobat and the forms created by the link in Acrobat to Designer. Once you go to Designer with the form you can not come back for editing in Acrobat. Normally you would create the basic form in a word processor or layout tool and then add the form fields in Acrobat (or Designer if that is preferred).
I will let others address the anonymous and yet confirmation check issue.

  • How do you track updates?

I would be interested to see the problems resulting from actually running an -Syu after not running one for such a long period of time. I've seen multiple threads started here that resulted from not ever running it and then suddenly doing so
re: running it every hour to see if there's an update, I just have cron check hourly and conky tell me if there's Arch or AUR updates
    # Split off from a TGN'ed thread...

I slapped together pretty much the same thing a couple weeks ago, but with the reasons jakobcreutzfeldt mentioned in mind:
    #!/usr/bin/env bash
    # Run '/usr/bin/checkupdates' to get a count of the number of pending package
    # updates. If the number is 20 or greater, or a kernel update is pending, print
    # the number of updates to the statusbar and send a pop-up notification.
    # Otherwise, exit silently.
    pkg=$(checkupdates | wc -l)
    kernel=$(checkupdates | grep -c ^linux$)
    if [ "$pkg" -lt 20 ] && [ "$kernel" -eq 0 ]; then
    exit 0
    elif [ "$pkg" -ge 20 ] || [ "$kernel" -ge 1 ]; then
    notify-send "Pending updates:" "$(checkupdates)";
    echo "PACKAGES: [ $pkg ]"
    fi
'grep -oc linux' would obviously catch any package with "linux" in the name, but since the kernel and headers are updated more often than all the rest I got lazy.
EDIT: I also use "alias pacin=sudo pacman -Syu", so if I install a package from the official repos the system just gets updated as a matter of course.
    EDIT2: Updated with slithery's recommendation.

  • Edit pdf and track update info

Is there any way to edit a pdf and save the update info, such as who and when updated the file?

In connection to this, does anyone know how to get the attached file to automatically update the linked to the pdf. Or even open the attached file without being in read-only.

  • Version Tracker Updates

I am a versiontracker subscriber. This morning I received some recommended updates but are confusing. If someone could give me some advice I would be much appreciative.
I received notification for adobe flash player plug in, should I install it? I did not know I had it originally.
Secondly I received an alert for MacBook Pro 17" SMC Firmware update 1.1. The problem I have with that is I have the 15" version. Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    marc

I would be reluctant to install any system updates other than those posted through Apple’s Software Update. If you received the 17-inch SMC update via Apple and you have a 15-inch MBP, then I would not install it. Call Apple and explain the situation. When in doubt, manually select Software Update from the Apple menu to verify what updates, if any, are currently listed i.e. as of this morning, there was a QuickTime update posted.

  • Weird tracking updates for nano exchange

So I sent in my 2 nanos for the recall this afternoon and just checked the tracking for them. iPod one is weighing in at 3.2 lbs and iPod 2 is weighing in at a whopping 7.2 lbs...who else thinks that fed ex needs new scales?! Haha. I never knew something in such a tiny envelope could weigh so much. I know one is a 1gig and one is a 2 gig but really, the 1 gig is the 7.2 lb one!!!
Anyone else notice this with their tracking?

  • Match updating already uploaded tracks

When does Match update already uploaded tracks? i have albums uploaded but find some are not sorted correctly, ie, they are single tracks and not album grouped. i have changed this on my laptop so the tracks group togethercorrectly under one album and left the laptop connected to Match. It says step 2 of the Match process has recompleted. Is this the step which updates my tracks? and when can i expect the iphone to have its tracks updated by this?

Metadata updates happen in real time. In my experience running the match routine slows it down if anything. Always try to avoid making changes when match is updating.
When the match process has completed then try changing the tags again making sure that it isn't running a match update at the time.
You may need to force this change by changing the metadata to something else, then back again. For example, I had some changes which hadn't gone through to the cloud, so I made the artist tag incorrect (by adding an x to the end of the name) and then corrected it. Those changes were made almost instantly and my tags were then correct.

  • How do you make iTunes read updated tag data from a file?

This is such basic functionality that I'm sure I'm just missing it. It used to be the when I modified a file using a third party application (or editing a shared library using iTunes running on a different machine), all you had to do to get those updates into iTunes was select, hit "get info" and click OK without changing anything. That broke in 9.2 - it still recognized that the file has changed and adjusts the Date Modified field, but doesn't actually update any of the fields.
The revised tags don't get updated until you either Get Info individually on each file, play the file, or modify the files. So realistically, there are no workarounds - the first two aren't realistic for a full library and the latter trashes your modification date and causes the refresh to take hours to complete if the library is on a remote server, rather than the ten minutes it used to take.

    turingtest2 wrote:
    Hi,
I've written a script called UpdateTagInfo which should do the trick for you. Just select a bunch of tracks or an appropriate playlist and call the script. It will process each track, updating the tags if they've been changed externally. When complete it will tell you how many tracks were processed & how many were updated.
